Next time work smarter not harder. Going up and down looses time, cut all pieces prior and bring them up all at once.
Question, do you ever have meeting in the morning to plan out your work schedule. To make sure you have all the right tools and correct amount of products(wood, nails, screws).

Rod please wear protective gear, hazmat suit, goggles, and mask when doing the spray foam. You need to stay out of the area until it completely dries as it is toxic. Freddie you need to stay out of the house when Rod is using this. Leave your patio door open so the upstairs has some air flow. Be safe when using!❤🙏

In the loft area, you may want to put a box for a ceiling fan. Hot air rises and the loft area will become extremely hot and stuffy. Just a thought. Also, you may want to replace the window with one that can open and close to get some fresh air into the loft. We truly enjoy your blog and want to see how the house progresses. Keep up the good work!

Glad you changed out the metal studs. Even though they might have been sufficient, since you have earth quakes I think you made a wise decision. Hey we live and learn! I’m 80 and learn new things everyday. Spray foam insulation is a great idea also. Brother used it in his entire house. Was a very comfortable home with temps staying comfortable and needing very little heat or cooling power even though in our area it gets extremely hot and cold. Was a little more expensive to install but paid off big time in power consumption. Love your channel and so happy to see your numbers climbing. Keep reminding folks to subscribe! Until next time, be safe and take care of yourselves, you have the potential for many happy years to share and make tons of memories. ❤❤❤❤❤

Hello lovely people, how nice to see the progress. I read something about using spray foam and insurance. I don't know if insurance companies in Panama are the same as in America, but you could get problems by using spray foam. You can look it up on internet for your country or inform at your insurance company. It would be a shame if you can't get an insurance for your house when you used spray foam. I hope it is not an issue in Panama. I'm from the Netherlands and know nothing about insurances, but just worry for you.
I like your videos a lot and can't wait to see you finish your lovely A frame house.

Hello. I just want to tell you you will need a ceiling fan. I have a cottage with a second floor and it is very hot during the summer. We have air conditioning but it doesn’t get to our rooms. We would open our windows but we had no breeze so, we put a ceiling fan in the center of the cottage ceiling to help push the hot air down. You can have the fan turn one way to push up the cold air or have it turn the other way to push down the hot air. It helped us quite a bit. Hopefully I explained myself enough for you to understand. Have a great week.

If you put Louvred windows in and put the louvre horizontal in the window, you can open them even in heavy rain. Nice job Rodrigo.

The box that you installed at 17:30 is a utility box and it is meant to be surface mounted and exposed, this box is not meant to be inside drywall. You need a device box for inside drywall. It has a bit more room inside the box for wire connections and devices like an outlet and is easier to work with.

Making the ladder fold is more complicated than it needs to be.
Put a another steel rafter 600-800 mm out from the loft. Mount a rolling ladder in between. Let the ladder have the same angle as the roof. Connect the ladder as a sliding barndor on each side, against loft edge and free hanging steel rafter.
That way you can push the ladder against the roof/wall and out of the way. Saves 99% of your floor space. Make lowe profile handlebars for it. Can even build a bookshelf on the back of the ladder.

You two are energizer bunnies. Love the progress on the home. How about extra outlets for ceiling fans? But if there is an earthquake, the large ceiling fans may not be stable. Small turbo fans on the floor with the open window is safer. That loft is really high. Wish you could place a stair case. A ladder is tough if you are sleepy. Fun to watch you create. Blessings

What about a Bookshelf staircase? It's dual purpose and you don't have to move it back and forth.
