I hope you had an awesome new year's eve, Patrick.
As far as this video, my favorite Lil' Jon moment had nothing to do with music, it's the Chappelle Show skit where Lil' Jon and Dave Chappelle (as Lil Jon) had a funny AF phone conversation. 😊
The 2000s was the decade where you couldn't escape Lil' Jon's catchphrases or Lil' Jon's underrated producing.

The Chappelle skit's effect on Lil Jon cannot be overstated. I was a freshman in high school when that happened and Lil Jon went from a fairly niche artist in our mostly white suburban school to a known meme that everyone was quoting. This in turn led to a lot of kids who would have never learned about his music listening to his early stuff.

Visited NYC in 2005 when I was 10 for a school trip. Chappelle’s Show was at its peak (I didn’t know anything about this as I was 10) On the ferry to go to Ellis Island some people on the bottom deck kept screaming “WHAT” “OKAY” “YEYAH” and I just thought they were being silly so I screamed as loud as I could “NO!” and the entire boat erupted with laughter. I was so humiliated 😅

I actually went to a free show he did at GA Tech in '10. The energy while he was DJ'ing was electric to say the least. He definitely left his mark in the electronic genres of the 2010s.

it's crazy because I feel like there's some popular subgenres or rap right now that are going back to the repeated words. I just listened to ken carson say "hardcore" 30 times in a row and kinda liked it lol. Someone should try and fuse these genres together if they haven't already

My client's son is someone who finds talent for a record label. Now I know the name of that position, A&R. He also manages the artists that he finds and runs clothing lines for a few artists. It's a cool job to have.

I think Need for Speed: Underground popularized not only the song "get low" but also brough attention from some kids to his music as well, it can't be overstated how racing games and even damn GTA games with their radios helped to keep some songs its legacy
