    In today's tutorial we share how to install the Hansgrohe Talis Select bathroom faucet. The Talis Select is a single handle push button faucet
    Single handle faucets are easier to clean and fix than double handled faucets.
    The first step with the Talis Select is to add the rubber centering ring under the faucet body.
    Slide the faucet down through the sink and secure it to the underside with the metal nut and screwdriver.
    Add the drain to the sink and use 100% silicone to it and the sink for a water tight seal. This isn't in the directions but we found that silicone is better than plumbers putty.
    Also apply silicone to the drain body where it connects with the metal pipe. Once that's installed the popup can be assembled.
    We like the Talis Select popup because it has a hair catch that prevents hair from clogging the p-trap.
    Attach the Talis Select water supply lines to the shutoff valves and assembly the p-trap to the drain in the wall.
    Watch our video for all the details and several tips that make replacing bathroom faucet and drain connections easy.

    Definitely a single handle faucet, much easier to operate and replace. Thank you for posting your video, it was very helpful. I tend to handle many "do it yourself" projects around my home. I have saved a lot of money by doing some things myself. Please keep posting.

    Single handle all the way! Easier to clean, more modern. Great vid, thanks.

    Ok, I put in the hansgrohe logis loop faucet. Your video was *extremely* helpful, since the Hansgrohe instructions are poor for a DIYer. I've put in faucets before, so not a rank beginner. The drain mechanism was the same. I wasn't able to adjust the temperature. It's somewhat different than yours. The allen wrench didn't work very easily, though I finally got it apart, but needed to get done so I just left it alone. I'll try again when there's time.Thank you for the great video.

    I think your instructions are great. As a woman, I could install it based on watching the vid. But I am into the decorative side, also. The company might want to consider that. Love your vids and learn much. Keep up the good work!

      Thanks Ann, appreciate your kind words. They have other faucets that might be a better fit for your style. We liked this one because it was a single handle and it matched the shower mixing valve trim. Hope you're having a good start to the weekend!

    I prefer double and have the Moen brand with a lifetime warranty , Moen have so far given me the replacement elements at no charge, the elements last approx 10-12 years and are easy to replace . My house is 30+ years . However a single unit is nice to have

    • @HomeRepairTutor
      @HomeRepairTutor  6 лет назад

      Thanks Geert for mentioning the warranty. A lot of companies will provide the cartridges for free if you know the model number of the faucet.

      If the pipes were exposed Ermanno we would have used a chrome setup. But these pipes are hidden under the sink

      Home Repair Tutor Arizona. It's not hot now but I have an aversion to warm or hot water. Some of the houses I've lived in had pipes on the outside or they were uninsulated and you turn on the cold water and it is burning hot!
