Nice truck. Looks clean. My Dad said he was going to give me his 1990 2500 because he had too many cars. So I put in a new battery, did a tune up, changed the oil, timing chain & gears, fuel filter, rebuilt the throttle body, put in new injectors, detailed it and had it running like a sewing machine. After all that He decided he wanted to sell it to me instead 😂
Looking good! 3 weeks ago on my 1989 GMC I had my exhaust manifold bolts let go due to rust & possible previous owner mishaps. I had to use a helicoil on the passenger side cylinder closest to the radiator with new gaskets. It was at least a fun project!
My Dude. This was such a great video - camera angles, commentary, background music, editing. Makes me motivated to do the plugs on my 89’ also! Liked & Subbed.
@@socalinlove you can try spraying them every day for a week with WD-40 but depending on how seized they are it might not help. I would use a induction bolt heater tool, heat really does work.

That's cold. You did all the work...But, they are still great trucks. Especially the 2500s!

Thanks man! They were a pain. I did the wires and distributor cap a few days later. Good luck with yours.
I used the platinum tip plugs with better results than with stock AC plugs. You should try them.
That's what I have and was trying to see if they were the right plugs. Mine say ASF42P
I love those trucks , I still drive my 91 GMC 1500 short box , its duel fuel propane and gasoline 460klm on it here in Alberta Canada.
120ft# for plugs?
@@mattbartolovich8228 😂 Nah. INCH Pounds. But you're right, that would be a lot. Go back and re-listen 👍
about to do the same on mine, wish me luck.
350 V8
Be prepared if you remove them headers the bolts will break!!! That can really ruin your day, week, month 🤣🤣
I want to install shorties on my 88 k1500 5.7L. any tips to help not break the bolts?

Replace the cap and rotor while you are there it's cheap enough tbh
