You must not be using huge mod packs then. I have a 4070 Ti Super and 64GB of Ram, and any large modpack(over a 100 mods) uses minimum 20GB. My 300 mod crazy-craft pack uses 25GB
@ trust me, it gets worse💀 I’ve set the memory limit for Minecraft in Curseforge to 25Gbs, if I’m feeling extra it use up to 30Gbs. Tbf, my modpack is ‘playable’ with a 20Gb limit, it just goes to 20fps so might as well use my insane memory to make it play better than vanilla Minecraft on a toaster🤣
i have 128 gigs of ram but i use it for actual applications that need it not just for gaming and higher fps, i do a lot of unity work, blender work, and gaming, the only downside is my ram isnt the fastest in the world but thats more due to my motherboard not supporting higher speeds sadly
@coolmanthecool603 the more mods the more ram. also shaders will hog ram. though for like 99% of modpacks you are right. also distant horizons obviously needs lotss of ram
You are not transparent like you are saying, the 'video' thats supposed to be of the PC of the 3060 is a random video of a Ryzen 5 2600x and 6650XT, another example being the pc that has the i7 7700 and rx 6400 is linked to a vid with an i5 4570 and rx 6400. Even the one with the 3050 and i5 8500 is linked to a vid with the same cpu, but instead a 1660 super. You should really benchmark these PCs yourself and post the benchmarks on your channel with the exact specs

I'm over here suffering with only 16 GB because I play VRChat so often- I really need to upgrade
Preach! I bought a cheap 16gb ddr5 kit with my cpu upgrade & its been plenty, even for modded minecraft
Because it's ddr5
@Betelgeusephotography well sure, but it's high latency / low speed. In this case it's about the same as a high-end ddr4 kit

I have 96 gigs of DDR5 5600MHZ for DCS in VR :)
Oh hey tabs! I do wonder what his specs are.

32 is nesasary if you do multi tasking while gaming i use 64 but its unnecessary for most people
it is about speed of the ram but the real reason you get lots of ram is for big minecraft mudpacks that just eat it
Minecraft shouldn't use any more then 8gb (allocate 6gb to minecraft) will be enough for every modpack.

I have 1GB on my laptop, I use it for Firefox on arch and still have 500mb left over
Had a HORRIBLE freezing problem in rust and only rust, and upgrading from 16 gb to 32 gb fixed it
I went to 16 to 64 and the difference was MASSIVE
I have 64gb but i also do AI, 3D modeling and heavy compuntation stuff
May i introduce you to....
RUST upgraded from 16 to 32gb and went from 60 to 150 because that game is ram hungry
While this is true for gaming pcs other applications for a computer may be heavily dependent on ram
Im chilling with 2gb ram
Do you ship pcs in Italy?
I have 8 gb of ddr3 ram ❤️
So uhm with 16gb ddr4 using opera for music discord open and rocket league with bakkesmod it sometimes crashes and usually 15.5gb utilization

32gb of cl32 ram is optimal (cl32 is the same as 32 cas latency)
What about 64 gigs?
mmmmmm intel xeon
32gb is basically the standard now tbh, within the next couple years ppl with 16gb will begin to feel the pressure of low ram.
Don’t those old office pcs not have great ventilation? Just a homemade oven at that point
