Dave Allen use to have a comedy show in the 1970's. It was a combination of stand-up 'even though he was sitting' and comedy sketches. I think one of the best sketches, was when he was playing a vampire, though most of them were about religion.
Dave had a regular show for about ten years, which was a combination of stand-up (well, sit down) and sketches. Pretty sure there are some full episodes on RUclips. I hope your face feels better soon! x

Yeah Dave Allen did full shows and you can get some of the on YT at varying quality. Some are better resolution than others. If you want full episodes look for the ones that say Part 1 and Part 2 like the one you did on driving. They are around 10-15 minutes each. We are lucky that we still have his stuff on here as he had in his contract that his shows would not be repeated and even now in the UK it is rare to see his shows repeated on TV.

One day I looked above and a damned gull pooped in me eye!” The patrons roar in mockery, claiming bird poop couldn’t make you lose an eye. “Ay”, says the pirate, “but it was me first day with the hook.”

I discovered Dave Allen while looking for Monty Python on PBS back in the 70s I would say the only better stage drunk would be Foster Brooks Look for him in Deam Martins Celebrity Roasts. Very funny. Duck and fish killing is no longer funny even though the joke is moderately good. Dave Allan was always a great comedian though, extremely hilarious for most of his shows.
