Great video! I teach courses with a rolling admission. Is there a way that I can add new students to module 1, and have other students in different modules at the same time? Also, can I make it a requirement to complete all the assignments in module 1 before a student can progress to module 2? Thanks in advance for your input!
Hi EdTech! Thank you so much for a really useful video. Simple and direct. Just what I needed to start. I'll be checking the other videos you have on your channel. I will soon start an online course and I badly needed a tutorial on GC.
Thanks so much for this very helpful video. When a student submits an assignment, what does it look like from the student perspective? And how does the teacher access that assignment? Thank you!
Thank you so much. I have to create a 5 hour (one week) module for an imaginary class for my final project before my internship. I am stressing out, but I think this will help me
I’m just trying i ready today for this day and tomorrow and the weekend and the weekend is all about it and the weekend so far is just going by o know how much of it out here and the weekend has changed a little but the weekend will definitely change and the other oysters usually get pup open for a while but the next day is going pretty much all day out
I just got hired as a teacher, but the district has all assignments preloaded on google Drive, in order of " Do now, 20 mins of typing, classwork, projects, and exit tickets" and I am having a hard time figuring out the process of getting from the drive to assigning to my students, please help
Excellent video, really well done. I subscribed and will follow your videos after I set up my English language 3rd grade classrooms. Do the pupils need to have their own Google accounts?
Thank you. I have a question: how can I roll students over from one class to the next? For instance, how can I roll the 9th grade English class into the 10th grade English class so that I do not have to manually re-enroll them.
Are you able to create codes for different lessons? I want to create a code that would restrict access. Ex. A code for bio 1 and a different code for bio 2. I would like to create a different code for each level.
Hello Maddie. Greetings from Chile. I have a doubt. Can I have different classes for different students? If so, can that be done by giving different names to the stream? Thank you.
Great video, but the hardest part is the marketing, right? How do you let students know that you can offer them a unique educational experience through google classroom?
Thank you.....great video....easy to follow....it's my first time using google classroom...I'll be watching your other links about google classroom.....I've got a couple of weeks before I start class..... I want to feel confident in Google classroom.....thanks again.
Thank you, very helpful! I do have one question. If students do not have an assigned computer, are they able to save their work in google classroom? For example if they are working on a spreadsheet project over multiple weeks will it all save to their Google classroom account so they can work on it at school and at home etc.
@@EdTechClassroom Thank you! So, is the Google account different from the Google classroom account? This would be for K through fifth graders who do not necessarily have an email.
@@jesicastoltzfus9158 The IT department at most schools already has Google Accounts set up for students. You could reach out to them to confirm. The accounts for young students oftentimes resemble an email address (but they aren't actually emails). In case your students don't already have accounts, I'm sharing here some directions to create a Google Account: support.google.com/accounts/answer/27441?hl=en
One quick question: So the invite link will guide students to the Google Classroom website, and the class code is to be used to join a specific class once logged into the Google Classroom website, or what??? Not sure I understand the difference between these two options. Once again, thanks so much for such an in-depth and well-structured tutorial. You rock!!!
I'am a teacher. And when I record a video from an iPhone in an assignment and publish it, it is saved to the root of Google Drive, and not to the course (student) folder. The same goes for pictures. And if you download from a PC or Android, everything works fine. Help please, what should I do?
Hi edTech!! love this video! Is there any way that in a class each student is assigned a different teacher and the general teacher in their reviews? always taking care of privacy, I want only the main teacher, the "coach" (one per student), and the student to see the submissions?
Thank you very much. It is a very useful tutorial. I have a question. I have tried to personalise the class with my own image (created in canva with the "google classroom template" , downloaded as a jpg. I have tried to upload it but I can't manage... Do you know where it could be the problem? Thanks in advance and thanks again for the tutorials. I shall check the rest :)
Thank you for the informative video @EdTech Classroom. I am a business owner, and I plan on implementing Google Classroom as a learning management system to train my staff, so this video is helpful. What technology did you use to create the video?
How do I use a lesson that another teacher has in their GC? And then share it it all of my classes?

Where in the Google classroom would you enter the students' names?
You can add students on the “people” tab, or you can share the class code with them to join!
Love your clear and concise explanations...I will be viewing more of your videos.

My best guess is that the image file size is too big. Try lowering the quality when you press download JPG on Canva and see if that works!
