On Pacifica Pier in California I watched a guy try to land a 40 pound King. Got it in the crab net, pulling it up to the pier. About six feet below the railing the salmon started thrashing around like crazy, the bottom of the crab net broke open, the fish fell back into the water and the line had snapped. The salmon swam away and the fisherman was in tears

I fished there once. Way too may people. Sucks fishing shoulder to shoulder. And homless/crackheads tried to steal my gear. Never again.
