The alliance of modern and old materials for a simple and certainly very effective fly.

Great looking fly, it's like a march brown on steroids.

An absolute stotter of a pattern. I as always have some input. To often many ignore the value of a more subdued boobie. Especially on waters that are hammered with bright flashy in your face fabs, blobs, boobies. Then biscuit, tan, olive, Ptn, tree rat or hares ear are often the way to go. Yes the floater with this on top dropper, point, or both. With scud, hares ear, cruncher, d bach, shipman’s, cormorant, or a kate mc. Are options. As are sink tip with buoyant on point. Same with an intermediate. DI3/5or7. The 5/7 can be single on a shorter leader with an optional nymph or other small food like pattern on a dropper above or behind the buoyant fly. Or longer leader with the buoyant on point as a reverse indicator set up. It is great to see you back to regular posting after a well deserved break.
