  • So I've had another rummage in the Glass vault and found a further Harold Lloyd film that's not been seen that much. I've remade the titles and plonked Ethan Uslan's piano on top of it, so all you need to do is hit play...... and laugh!
(and yes, that's Louise Carver AGAIN!)

Great to see this again ! I have this on VHS tape somewhere, recorded it off the TV during the late 80s. I seem to recall the background music was different though, not as upbeat as this music is. Many thanks for the upload !

You are correct. I too have that recording (though most of it missing). It had an organ recital as accompaniment (as my Dad used to call it). It was on BBC2 sometime in 1982, the day after Luke's Movie Muddle.

Hi there, just saw your reply, many thanks - yes that's it, it was an organ recital all the way through. I really need to find the VHS tape and put it up on RUclips. I noticed another video was put on here but again with the different music. Thanks again for your reply, glad you remember the recording too ! @@mrmethane10

Short, sweet, and fun...and, now we know it wasn't Hedy Lamarr who invented the mobile phone--it was Harold and Snub! TY!

No doubt about it, us interconnected people have everything to learn about the world outside of our own and there’s no excuse to be xenophobic and ignorant. Them, on the other hand, couldn’t be as well educated with the lack of information at that time. I would doubt that Harold himself is genuinely racist, he had never shown any aggression nor malice towards anybody.

That's the dependable William Blaisdell, who worked for Hal Roach and then with Monty Banks and a lot of Christie films in the mid to late 20s.

I’d doubt it, considering Turkey’s climate is nowhere near the Saharan desert.

The least they could do is not portray Turkey as being in the Middle East… 😂😂 Turkey’s climate is more akin to Europe if anything.
