- Football boot hacks that DON'T work - you should avoid these 5 football boot hacks and gimmicks, because while they might sound good in theory, they won't make your football boots better - and actually, they might even end up ruining your football boots. So in today's boot hacks video, JayMike takes a look at some of the most prominent football boot hacks and gimmicks that you SHOULDN'T do because it actually might ruin your boots. That includes using banana peel to polish your leather football boots instead of using actual leather dubbin or leather creme, using two insoles in your football boots, cutting a hole in the heel which is a hack used by Coutinho in 2017, using bubble wrap to protect your feet when you strike the ball and finally, taking the laces out of your boots to create your own laceless football boot. They all might sound like brilliant, clever football boot life hacks, but in reality, they don't really work and aren't going to help you at all - so in other words, you should try to avoid these stupid 5 football boot hacks and gimmicks.

The double insole trick actually works when one of your foot is slightly smaller than the other, which has work extremely well for me in my case.
I have another trick. So my left is 43 and right foot is 44. I just switch a 43 in the box of the 44 and hope the cashier doesn't see it LOL

Yes, don't do it. Put them in any way and that is always better. Or just tuck the end of the laces under the tongue or something for a cleaner look. I mean I do it because they are too long...

I have laced boots that are to small and they hurt my mid foot area because they were to tight. I then took the laces out and I tried some agility drills and they fit perfectly and were still kinda tight but locked my foot down. But I understand to not take laces out of boots if they fit when the laces are tightened

*Tutorial on how to play like jay*
I once bought these rubber grip sleeves that went over the boot. They were supposed to provide extra grip and more contact on the ball when shooting. The problem was that they were sleeves over the boot - so the bottom part soon tore up because of the running. They were also quite tight on the top of the foot. I loved the idea but practically, I wouldn't recommend them, unless someone created a more advance version of it that didn't result in the problem stated.

No, don't cut holes in your boots if you have blisters. If you have issues that would be permanent, and maybe if you had to wear shoes for sponsorship purposes but they feel wrong on your foot. Banana one you can try, but it does not make football boots better. Yes, it makes dress shoes look better but football boots? Nah. No laces I can confirm (tried the boot but it feels like tight crocs for the fit), but I modified my lacing technique so that I can get in easier and it feels better on my foot. I do the runners loop all the time but not on this one though as it is too tight and acquired as the laces go harder through the holes as on my running shoes. Anything that changes the shoe forever like cutting holes I would be careful about but changing the lace-up method is totally fine! Also, warm water is a good idea, oh and thick socks as well then wear it if they are slightly too small ( we're talking quarter sizer or less). Just don't modify your boots forever if you don't know what you are doing!
