When my husband and I got married, I was 16, he was 20 , then had a baby 7 months later, we were pooooooor. We both worked hard to have a better life, do I want to go back to being that poor. No way. I applaud you for wanting something more and working hard to achieve it. By the way, we have now been married for 52 years and we both ended up owing our own business.

I love seeing channels grow. I started watching when you was in the trailer. I don’t understand why people want people to stay in the “struggle”. If something was to happen you would absolutely know how to get by and be frugal. Those lessons taught you and your hard work got you out of it. ❤

Your channel shows growth, maturity and change which is part of learning, failing, succeeding as a maturing adult. When my husband and I got married 40 years ago we were poor, we skipped meals so our children could eat to fullness and our clothes were carefully maintained so our growing children could be clothed. Through hard work, learning to budget our $ and denying ourselves instant gratification, we were able to buy new furniture, increase our grocery budget, buy new clothes as we NEEDED them, take small vacations, etc. You and Dillon have and are doing this- your job has allowed more “luxuries” like increased grocery budgets and fixing up your home just as Dillon’s job is doing. You keep growing and making positive changes for you and your family but for all who watch you! Good job Karrie!

Never understand why people make certain comments. When we were raising 3 boys, we struggled quite a bit financially. Now that we are older and things are better, I don’t feel guilty about spending some money on trivial things. Everything is so expensive that you just naturally spend more. You do you! You’re very talented, love to see more of your paintings 👍🏼

If people who watch you make the comment That they miss who you were six years ago in the trailer, Then apparently they are not real supporters because if they were, they would see that you yourself as a whole is still that beautiful soul we met 5yrs ago. ❤❤ A real supporter would be proud of you and happy where you have came for yourself and your family. Like you said, nobody should have to stand at a register and choose between milk or bread.

I never read through the comments (or comment myself really) just because I'm always so busy but the thought that someone could actually comment on how someone else chooses to spend their money and on what blows my mind... some nerve!!! I watch your videos usually when I relax in bed before sleeping and sometimes while im eating lunch. I would never wish anyone would go back to being in a place of struggling!!! Who says that to another person? Lol good grief. I feel like you always strive to make your projects as affordable as possible, everyone should set a budget based on what they have to work with which is exactly what you do and promote. JUST A THOUGHT: With the area that you were originally thinking about closing in (near the sliding glass doors), I was thinking you could add on a small angled corner cabinet off the existing cabinets. Almost like a triangle shape if this makes any sense at all lol. It would be on the small side but I think you could fit a lot because its tall..canned goods, cleaning supplies, broom/mop, even shoes maybe? That way you still have your hooks, the entry way and door space will still be open, while giving you slightly more storage. Just wanted to share this idea and also let you know that I am so happy for you and the opportunities you have been given by working your behind off, Dylan too. Keep going.💪

I've been a subscriber for awhile now. I started watching when you moved into your house. It's absolutely crazy that people comment on what you spend. I get that you share your grocery hauls and other things but who are we to say you spend too much. I'm a stay at home mom and enjoy watching your videos. It's my entertainment and a little adult time. I'm happy that you and your family are in a stable place financially. In these times good for you. ❤❤
Married at 16 yrs old, had a baby and we were dirt poor. We were happy though and we lived on love. Just celebrated our 48th anniversary. We all change and grow. You are a beautiful person inside and out. Be you. I to think it is a positive. Peace!

Forget about the people that want you to stay in a rut and never grow and evolve for the better in life. As someone told me 30 years ago, “never beat yourself up too badly because there will always be a long line of people waiting to do it for you!” It stuck with me and I think about it when times call for it.

You can stick your kitchen brush in water with a little bleach overnight for stained bristles. It also gets rid of anything else on the brushes that you don’t want on your dishes.

I love me some pineapple too. I have been craving fruit lately. My mom says times like that mean that my body is wanting the added vitamins. Which makes sense since I struggle with allergies sometimes in the fall and sinus issues. It is really crazy how cleaning up baseboards does really clean up a space. And I agree with your thoughts on keeping the space open by your sliding door. I loooove your new painting. It could have come from a store. Great job. Loved the video. And never feel the need to apologizing for progressing in life. My husband and I married out of highschool. He joined the military. We struggled. It took us a while to get on our feet and try to remember that. I do have a lot of frugle habits as far as not wasting as well.

Do you tell them how to spend their money? No! They earn their money, and spend the way they want to. You earn your money and you should have the right to spend it the way you want to. If they do not want to see what you purchase, how much money you spend, how you decorate or where you live, they can stop watching you.
I think you are a hard worker. Your children aren’t dirty. They are clean and fed when they go to school. When you pick them up from school, you have them a snack. You cook them a nice dinner, they never go to bed hungry or dirty. Maybe the complainers will need to turn off the tv and do something else!

I don't get why people are complaining about your spending when you're really not spending so much really. You shop at Walmart for goodness sakes! You could be shopping at Whole Foods! The nerve of people to call you out on the fact that you're just living your life and improving your home for your family. Not to mention feeding a family of four with three dogs. It's like they want to bring you down to their level and since you're so honest and humble, they try and make you feel bad about it or expect an explanation. Well Im glad you set the record straight. Keep doing what you're doing! I'm glad life has improved for you and that you're sharing your good fortune with us. This is entertainment and people seem to forget that. Instead of taking something good away from your channel and learning something new they are basing their lives happiness and choices on the choices you make. I work at home and I listen while I'm working so I don't feel alone.
I'm happy for you to have improved your situation. We were married 56 years ago, and had nothing. We ended up with 2 children and we decided I would be a stay-at-home mom, not popular, sadly. I did work outside of the home, part time, from time to time, full time when kids were college age. We made sacrifices, my husband had a great career...college at night after we were married. I know what it's like to be poor, and I know what it's like to be comfortable. We've made the most of what we have had. Family simply comes first. Period. You are doing so well, making your own choices. I hope more can be happy for you. Blessings.

I am with you on the inflation frustration! This is my first time adulting and parenting thru a major inflation, and honestly, I am just winging it. My college degree certainly didn't prepare me for this. Oh, and I have always called it "Toe-teen-ohs" pizza too!
I was15 when I married, 17 when I had son number1 and 23 when I had son number5. We lived in a 10-55 trailer with no furnace, no water heater and no cooking stove. Never ever should anyone begrudge someone of moving to better things. It's hard going through those times when we can't afford the things that our family needs. I'm happy for you and I hope all your dreams come true.❤
