Bought one of these brand new, the later version with standard chequering….particularly nice wood, still own and use it today (mainly on pigeons now). Shot thousands upon thousands of shells without a single issue, absolutely cracking gun that I’ve never wanted to replace! Very much enjoyed watching your review 👍🏼
Thank you for your comment and kind words. One of the all time modern greats for sure. I am pleased that you are enjoying the channel. Kind regards, Matthew
While searching for a DT10 in 2008 I picked up a 682 Gold E at the NSCA US Open and was really impressed. I found my DT10, but passing on that 682 still haunts me. Great review.
Thank you for your comment and kind words. Really pleased that you are enjoying the channel and please get in touch if I can help with anything. Kind regards, Matthew
Thank you for another terrific review of a legendary model. I never owned one but I know the earlier, scale checkering had a habit of detaching the odd scale but I think the later versions reverted to standard checkering and that horrible 'C' spanner for the chokes didn't last a crack. I love the history of things and only though people like yourself Matthew that most of us ever learn anything of it, thanks again!
Thank you for your comment Ray. Yes agreed regarding the C spanner, absolute monstrosity of a thing. Mich better off using a Muller or Teague key. Glad you enjoyed the video. Kind regards, Matthew
Very good review, both content and delivery are spot on. I love my Gold E and very lucky to have found a late one with really nice wood and barely used.
Thanks Matt for another great video. I look forward to Sunday evenings every week now for your next video. I have an original 682 trap, with the wider frame, and did own a 682 Gold Sporter, which I think was a transitional model - it had the slimmer frame and mobil-chokes. As a left-hander Beretta was one of the few makers who made off the shelf guns to suit the minority of us. It is hard to know when the wider frame actually stopped being used, sometime in the mid to late 90s?. Keep up the great work!
Thank you for your comment and kind words. The 682 Gold (on my 'to do' review list) was indeed Mobilchoked and I am 99% certain built on the wider action frame but I will check now you have said that. I am pleased that you are enjoying the channel. Kind regards, Matthew
Great video Matt, always good see what gun you are looking into, could we see a Caesar Guerini Invictus 1 ascent, would love to see that but keep up the videos Matt great to watch
Again a very watchable and informative video. Matt always makes me want to own every one of the guns he is reviewing. Interestingly I have a Beretta 686 I think as my son is shooting it and he now has anew gun. Will find out if it is now surplus to his requirements and confirm spec. looking forward to seeing your website and see what you have been up to in recent months.
Thank you for your comment and kind words Brian. I can certainly assist if you need help filling your cabinet😊. Please let me know about the 686. Look forward to catching up in a few weeks. Kind regards, Matthew
Great review, very honest and not bias in any way like a lot of reviews. Beretta should keep making a model that is so popular, why change it for what?.
Thank you for your comment Bruce. I can only assume that the gun's sales just tailed off a little and it was time for a change. There is no question that it is a great gun though. Kind regards, Matthew
My gold e is the gun I learned to shoot with and is the gun I’m still shooting today 16 years later, never serviced still goes bang when you pull the trigger excellent.I paid £1490 for it from a well known shop in Essex absolute bargain.Matt is spot on about the leather recoil pad there is no give in it but does allow for a smooth shoulder mount.
I’ve a soft spot for the 682 x trap high rib and the 391 gold semi autos the older SO series of guns are also very interesting TGS outdoors did a video on them the other day
Thank you for your comment Paul. Yes the 682 Gold is certainly on my hit list. S05 may prove a little more tricky but leave it with me. Kind regards, Matthew
The Beretta 690, 692 and currently the 694 are successor models to the 682, right? Is the 682 better than the 694 or are they not comparable? I have tried to buy a 682, in Germany this model is very rarely offered. An interesting and informative video, as so often. Thank you!
Thank you for your comment and kind words. Yes the 692 and 694 were the successors to the 682 Gold E. All very good guns in their own right. Please contact me directly regarding a 682. Kind regards, Matthew
Thank you for your comment. A 694 and 725 Prosport comparison is certainly something that I will be looking at yes. Glad you enjoyed the video. Kind regards, Matthew
Hello Matt, good stuff. I followed you from your previous employ so to speak. Any chance of a review of the Breda Zenith sporting shotgun ? I previously owned a 682 Gold E and a DT10 but sold them as they really didn't fit my Orangutan length arms and neck.
Hello Matt, really enjoy your reviews, the best on the internet. Have you come across the Browning 425 Privilege. I had one for many years and I believe there were very few sold in this country. I spoke to a Browning rep at a game fair and he told me it was launched at a retail price of 7k, which limited it's sale. Any chance of a review ?
Thank you for your comment and kind words. Yes I know the gun and have had several through my hands. I am not sure about the price you were quoted as this was the predecessor to the Heritage. I will put it on the list no problem. Kind regards, Matthew
@@eastfieldgunroom Thanks Matt. The first Privileges were priced at £6,995 which was twice the price of their nearest competitor, the Beretta 687eell. Browning soon reduced the price to try and sell some. The Privilege had a lot of hand finishing, so I think Browning were trying to sell it at as a premium model. The later 525 Heritage had far less hand finishing, so not so good in my opinion.
Thank you for your comment. As per the video the 682 Gold E had a slimmer action frame plus different barrels, chokes and also stock dimensions to the 682 Supersport and the other 682 models that it superceeded. Kind regards, Matthew
Back in the day I very nearly bough one of these. They were up there with the best. I have only ever own 1 beretta and the preference is browning of which I have had many. I currently have a 30 inch ultra xs non adjustable. And it makes me shot well. Lol. One thing is there is slight pitting of the barrels as it sat in leaned in the cabinates for a time.is there any thing I can do to repair it or even get a set of barrels for it. Love u channel and I hope it grows for you
Thank you for your comment and kind words. In all honesty it would be more cost effective and easier to buy a complete gun and use it as a donor for the barrels. The GTI is the same gun in essence and will be a cheaper option in terms of a donor gun. I am pleased you are enjoying the channel. Kind regards, Matthew
Matt, If possible I would love your thoughts on a new gun an ATA pro sport adjustable only just seen one so may not be many about. I doubt you will remember sorting my wife and I out with guns me a Miroku and Mel an ATA my oldest son is now showing an interest in shooting so I thought the pro sport would fit the bill, as Mel is loving hers
Hi Merv. I actually saw the new ATA Prosport at the Gamefair last week and was extremely impressed. I completely remember sorting Mel and yourself out with the two guns. I hope they are going well. Please do not hesitate to get in touch if I can help in any way. I am pleased that you are enjoying the channel. Kind regards to you both, Matthew
Thank you for your comment. A number of Gold E's (depending on the age) are fleur de lis (high performance) steel shot proof. All multichoke sporting versions are suitable for use with standard performance steel. Kind regards, Matthew
Review a Rizzini BR110 IPS 12ga sporting, nothing out there when you search this model. You could be the first. Another gun to look at- Fossari CX9 Sporting - again do a search nothing out there.
Thank you for your comments. These models are not available in the UK but I there is certainly a number of Rizzini models that we have over here. Kind regards, Matthew
I am not a beretta fan, but i do have a real soft spot for the 682 line, great guns that felt more like guns made for shooters by shooters, beretta has gone too far down the marketing/ IT department path for me now, feel cold lifeless, much rather a gold e
Thank you for your comment. I agree the 682 range of guns might never be beaten for what they offered. I have a 682 coming soon that will blow you away so stay tuned!! Kind regards, Matthew

Bought a 2005 32" adjustable a couple of months ago. Use it every weekend.
Thank you for your comment. Great guns and they are becoming harder to find it would seem. Kind regards, Matthew

Shooting a Browning Prosport sold to me by Matt . Took my old 682 gold e out at weekend and was great very different to the Prosport !

Its the best model beretta. Old and new models.
Buenas noches podrías hacer algún video de la escopeta beretta modelo 409 calibre 20 yuxtapuesta gracias.

very good gun👍👍👍
Which one would you choose (trap/sporting): mint condition Beretta 682 Gold E or Beretta 694?
Thank you for your comment. Not an easy choice that as I do personally prefer the higher comb on the 694. Both excellent guns. Kind regards, Matthew
Have a gold e xtrap. Is a brute but moves very well
Could we see a gamba daytona review 👀👀
Thank you for your comment. Yes I am planning to review a Daytona. Stay tuned. Kind regards, Matthew
Hi,is the gold e steel proof. Thanks.
Thank you for your comment. A number of Gold E's (depending on the age) are fleur de lis (high performance) steel shot proof. All multichoke sporting versions are suitable for use with standard performance steel. Kind regards, Matthew
The top barrel on my silver pigeon patterned 80/20. The bottom barrel 50/50. Beretta would not issue an RMA to fix the problem. Beretta sux.
Thank you for your comment. Sorry to hear of your bad experience. I have certainly never heard of this before. Kind regards, Matthew
Which one do you like 694 or 682 Gold E 😅
Thank you for your email. Both are very good guns but I personally prefer the stock dimensions of the 694. Kind regards, Matthew
@@eastfieldgunroom thanks a lot for yor reply 👌
I actually would buy one that's in good condition.
Thank you for your comment. They are getting harder and harder to find but they are still out there. Kind regards, Matthew
