I think one thing that the Toyo has an advantage over the Falken is that they are lighter. In some sizes the Toyos are almost 10 pounds lighter. Lighter tire means less rotation mass; better braking, acceleration, fuel economy etc. For most folks that drive 95% highway and 5% off road they would have a better long term benefit with a light AT tire.
Great point. In a 35 or smaller c rated to c rated I don't think it's that big of a jump in weight. But your point is spot on. Rotating mass is a huge deal.
I'm on my second set ... 35/12.5 under a RAM 2500 diesel crew cab long bed ... still had 3/32 @ 81+ thou miles ... & they are made in USA !!! Note: they are really quiet as well !!!
Great review, not biased. Exactly my thoughts on the Falkens, I only drive 7k miles a year or so, so they probably have half tread left but are 6 years old and hard as a rock and LOUD. I would almost rather have a tire with less tread life that I got the use out of before they got so hard and loud.
Yep my good year ultra terrains did the same thing as the falkens. Once down to about half tread they got loud and hard. Thst was about 55k miles, similar to the falkens. But I did like that I could still have traction with them offroad and could worry about changing them when I wanted to without worrying about not having traction in the woods. I will go back to the falkens when these wear down. But these tires are great tires and very quiet and smooth riding for a quality all terrain.
Here in Arizona with the jagged rocks, and very harsh deserts, the only tire that seems to hold up with my experience are the BFGoodrich all terrain and mud terrain. They came on both my Jeep Rubicons stock so I was happy!
Yeah I have these on my Land Rover in Tucson Arizona and unfortunately I have the factory in 19 inch wheels that's why I got these otherwise on my other Land Rover with 16-inch wheels I like Mickey Thompson for the sidewalls handling all the Rocks down here the Baja boss Mt is an absolute monster

Our off road rigs either ran BFG Krawlers(red label stickies) or Super Swampers depending on what we were doing. If you ever get to Colorado try "Independence", "Carnage Canyon", "21 road" or "Pinch Point"
@@crashdsnowman1 thanks. Will do
Had a set, they were crap. If all you do is highway , guess they ok.
I will not buy these again either. They are quiet that's for sure. But tread life not what I want
This has got to be one of the dumbest Newbie reviews I’ve ever seen and extremely incorrect. Why would you ever purchase and use an AT Tire when 90% of your driving is in muddy trails, You should be running MT’s. Toyo MT’s should've been your first choice! In addition, ALL TRAILS SPIT ROCKS ON YOUR TRUCK BODY. People post some of the dumbest and unintelligent things online.
I'm gonna leave this comment right here for everyone to enjoy. Thanks for commenting😂
