Hello my German speaking peeps, ich habe mittlerweile auch einen deutschsprachigen RUclips Kanal: ruclips.net/user/VintageburscheDeutsch Würd' mich über ein Abo freuen. Tschö!
Here in Italy for example i get stared at just by wearing a tweed jacket and an ascot in the small towns, but in places like Milan you can wear anything without anyone giving a crap. I once saw a bloke in a jacket and tie without trousers with a parrot an the shoulder talking at the phone walking around with minimal staring. P.s. is the leather bag at the end of the video vintage?
Thank you so much for interviewing Karolina. It was so good to hear more of her story. The back story of RUclipsrs is fascinating - so diverse and unique. It reminds us that we are, all of us, worthy of being heard.
So great to see an actual Edwardian ladies pullover (as opposed to just in historical photos). It's so different from the more body silhouettes we see today.
HURRAH, KAROLINA!! Small towns. I got my town used to my antique ways by wearing my vintage clothes to church. Outside of church, I find that people are so confused by a Herjolfsnes dress in modern fabrics that they can only comment on how swooshy it is when I walk. Thanks to both you and the rest of the CosTubing Community, my mother now thinks that this is a fashion trend. Love your work! (both of you!) Thank you for making THIS (waves at clothing aggressively) seem normal.
@@m.falcon6412 Yes. And the most I ever hear is either, "I know you make your own clothes, can you help me with this," or "Wow, that dress is so pretty, and sooo swoooshy!" When I first started, I made MANY little girls scream and tell their mothers, "LOOK! There she is! She looks like a Princess!"
@@michellecornum5856 Oooh, that is so cool ^^ I very much like medieval (early, 13th, 15th c.) clothes myself, and I've long wanted to wear them on an everyday basis, but I'm still working up my courage ^^"
@@m.falcon6412 the less dressy, working class clothes from that era are similar to the Austrian blouse, bodice and dirndle skirt. Make your skirt calf length, and/or tiered and you have the vintage GunnSaxe look of the 1970s. Less Out There for daily wear to start with. I've just made my first corset. Been sewing for years and usually do some minor alteration. Butterick pattern B5935, all the pattern pieces are interchangeable. I altered the shoulder straps to make a shoulder seam for a front lacing bodice. Lovely smooth lines over skirts or trousers. Fastening modern trousers is very easy. Not that different to a waistcoat. Thinking of trying the same with buttons and loops instead of lacing. How accurate or inspired we wish to be is entirely our own choice. Though I don't think my small town is ready for the Princess vision.
What lovely outfits, and gorgeous cinematography! And of course, the location is just *chef's kiss* It was lovely to get a chance to learn more about Karolina's background and education. I mean, anything Meme Mom is an insta-click anyway, but this was such a lovely visual treat on top of the interview content itself.
It's great to see Karolina in her beautiful outfits and to learn more about her family and academic background. She is trully talented, and can do anything.
You two should plan more coordinated costumes and photo shoots, your aesthetic sensibilities complement each other quite well. Collabs with other makers in this space would also be cool. I would love to see a Late Victorian or Edwardian group photo using vintage cameras and film techniques featuring you two, Bernadette Banner, and anyone else who can participate. Like a RUclips family photo, but make it vintage.
Ooooh I LOVE Karolina's essay video's about researched topics! I'm a historian myself and I appreciate any good researched video and I admire her for always looking for original sources. I guess they're not for everyone, but I would say that is to be expected and does not mean that the ones who DO watch, don't gain pleasure from it. They are the ones that keep me engaged in watching someone's historical costuming content; if it were just video's of you in different outfits, even historical, it would get boring to me really fast. (Like I love those channels too, there are some really cool ones who do dressup video's with outfits from different era's, but I can only stomach so many of them in a week or month, I need the good contextualizationnnnnn!)
I really enjoy these candid videos. All of you are such a lovely bunch. I will have to make sure I give her some encouragement on her upcoming research video as they are actually my favorite of hers.
Great interview! Really enjoying this series - your questions and their answers give us interesting insights into Costubers' backgrounds, ways of working, etc!
I really enjoyed this interview. Lovely to find out more about Karolina's back ground. I must say, you both look fantastic. Thank you for the interview.
also, Karolina has such a REAL personality online. She's so delightful, not someone that is all covered in cosmetics and projecting a fake image no one can live up to. Also she is unique, and makes me wish to visit Poland. She's the kind of person you'd like to take out to lunch.
Karolina, your English is much better in this interview than it is in your vlogs -- I guess the vocabulary and pronunciation of the vlogs is part of the persona of the vlog.
I loved the cozy vibes, it feel like two friends chatting. Karolina is how I got into the historical clothing side of youtube, I just love her content so much, informative and always puts a smile on my face !

This young lady, together with Bernadette Banner, in my opinion perfectly personify the classical feminine subtle grace and ladyship, something almost extinct in current vulgar, degenerate and dystopian society.

Tschö!
Both yours and Karolinas outfits just look amazing! Will we get a lookbook of you on this trip?
I'm planning on a lookbook including the outfits of the trip, but I haven't had the chance to record any footage there.
Karolina is a big reason I got into this community. Love her style and enthusiasm. She's awesome!

yes, it's a flea market find.
That thumbnail image is to die for, such an iconic couple
I saw the thumbnail and got meme madame vibes

Miss Tatternickel. I can't wait to see more of her! Excellent interview!

Hi! So apart from vintage clothing, you are also wearing 14th c. clothing as an everyday apparel, have I understood that correctly? :)

And again, such a lovely video. Adored this interview! Felt like a conversation with a friend 🖤
(oh and the cinematography - soooo beautiful✨)
Can confirm
THE OUTFITS ARE GORGEOUS!!
not me litteraly wanting all the clothing from this video
You should do a video on traditional German clothing. Those trachten style jackets and cardigans are really beautiful.
such a relaxed and cozy video, really calming after a long workday.
i believe i'll remember the pizzabox hat forever :D

You both look AMAZING 😍and the last shot, it looked like you were the Lord and Lady of the manor 😍❤️❤️
Yes ! Didn't it now make you want to know the story of this couple? Please someone write a screen play! 🙂

I believe Karolina is the wittiest person on RUclips.
Am I the only one who would ship these two? 🤣
This video resonated with me in a surprising way, and you both look great. Thanks for sharing.

Fabulous subject matter and interview. ❤️ Meme Mom!
Karolina how can I express the level of adorable that you are?! Can’t handle it.
I loved the interview, thanks for another fun video!!
You two make an attractive pairing for a collaborative video, it was a pleasure to watch- very relaxing.
I liked the talk and especially the clothes. I know it was the sleeves, but it amused me to think of Karolina sitting there with huge muscly arms.
How did this video even happen, did you guys meet up? LOVE these series too! Much love from Brazil.♡

Lovely interview, but I'm taken with the house! Where was this filmed?
Ya, Karolina does vivid right.
The thumbnail of this video looks like a period drama I would watch a thousand times without getting tired. I love it. You two look perfect
Lovely interview, thank you so much, Sir.

Nice video, I’ve known Zebrowska’s channel for a good while and she’s quite the insightful lady.
By the way how can we submit our outfits for review ?
Oh great another costuber channel I'll have to follow now! My feed is full of historical costubers, food and book nerds.
Beautiful location! Thanks for sharing the interview.

Love the sweater/jumper you wear for the majority of the interview. what a perfect fit!
Loving these living portraits! Beautifully made and interesting, thanks!

Those who know can never get too much Karolina. ♥♥♥♥
I agree, she’s so original, completely unique.
