- Here's my review of the Razer Basilisk V3 PRO gaming mouse. I've been using this Razer mouse for a couple of weeks and want to share my thoughts on what this gaming mouse is like to use. I'm showing off the various features of the mouse here including the interesting things like the "smart" wheel which can adjust on the fly, the various programmable buttons, the changes you can make in the software to add even more programmability with Razer Hypershift and more besides. If you just want to hear a sound test I've left that at the end of the video too.
This a great mouse if you're a right handed gamer. It's very similar to the Logitech G502 X and that's no bad thing. I'll be doing a video to compare them side-by-side soon, so subscribe and watch out for that
Aside from the spinning mouse wheel, other highlights include the wireless QI (pronounced "Chi") charging. With the fanciest model of this mouse (or additional purchases) you can get a charging puck and dock for wireless charging.
This is one of the better mice I've used lately and replaces the excellent Basilisk Ultimate as a great contender for top spot in terms of having the best specs and features.

I'm suprisef how few subscribers you have. One of the better tech guys on here.
Appreciate you.
This is Michael. Thanks for this excellent review. There are a couple of other excellent reviews on this mouse which show it to be superior to its competition.
Coming from a trackball, I am very cautious about getting a great Mouse. This one fits the bill. Especially if you get the mouse dock Pro. The combination is expensive but it's worth it for something you use everyday a lot. Plus it's super convenient to just pop the mouse on the dock to charge it every couple days overnight. Never hassling with wiring AND getting a 4000 GHz connection with a polling rate of about 2,000 which is twice as good as the 2.4 GHz.
The main problem here is that Razr makes this mouse and they have a ridiculous policy of making you sign into use their software which really stinks. For that I now boycott razor although I have a black widow keyboard on an older PC. So, it really hurt to go back on my own boycott, but that shows how good this Mouse is.
New is always the good works
Great review thank you
Thanks for watching. Hope you enjoyed enough to subscribe 🦐
Love the mouse, just bought it but the only problem is the sniper button kinda gets annoying since sometimes touching tip of my thumb
Bought the v3 pro in white. So far its a pretty comfy mouse.
Same love it
was it easy to set up bluetooth connection with a laptop?.. i've read some comments about it not connecting with bluetooth so i'm a little worried
Thing that gets me with razer is that they do not offer replacement parts for wear items like the side rubber grip. Their CS pretty much told me to pound sand when i asked where i can buy them for my basilisk ultimate. After years of razer, going back to Logitech. Hopefully no double click on single click with the 502x plus
Thanks, my 2nd Steelseries 650 has failed, so I'd never buy Steelseries again as they do not give cash refund - only able to replace with more junk.
Logitec G903 failed around 1.5 years so I was thinking Razer next but concerned if ant get parts...
Avid Logitech user here. They will treat you the same.
Mine won’t charge above one percent how do I fix this?
Hi i know its old but do you know if a magnetic usb c cable is gonna fit inside there?
my logitech g903 died, for the second time, switches did, dreadful double clicking. I had powerplay but I told myself that I need to try something else and I do love Basilisk v3 pro. Ok. I hope it will last longer bro
Hi, need Mouse Dock Pro and Wireless Charging Puck or we can just buy the Mouse Dock Pro without the Wireless Charging Puck to charge the mouse?
The mouse comes with wireless charging at 2.4 GHz. With the mouse dockpro you bump that up to 4,000 and have the convenience of simple magnetic charging where you just pop the thing on it every other night. No wiring needed and it's super fast
Prawn be honest , how often do you get contacted to do voice-over work? What is your IMBD?
Would you believe not once? Never.
I just bought it but my battery life its just like 5-6 hours. 100% RGB, 1000 hz and with the 2.4 USB. Is that normal or do I need to get a refund?
1st comment, I LOVE THE V3 PRO
Would this be ideal mouse for games like PUBG, COD, Warzone, CSGO, Total war, god of war, BG3 etc and also for work etc....or would the new Logitech super light X 2 that looks to be released soon be better option
GPX2 is all you only need since it has 2 side buttons, otherwise, get this if you like to map keys to buttons on the mouse so you focus more on movement and not lifting your hand off the keyboard.
Will it be better to go for the pro wireless rather than v3 wired, never had a wireless mouse before
I've been using the Basilisk Ultimate for years and being wireless never had a an issue myself, I will be getting the V3 pro to. Hope that helps
Honestly I wouldn't recommend the basilisk v3 pro or the g502 plus unless money isn't an concern for you. They are extremely pricey because they're new and top of the line, but the regular g502 wireless and the basilisk x can both be found on sale for almost a third of the price and almost the same feature set.
From a practical perspective, I strongly doubt that the newest mice from either brand will last three times longer than their previous versions. So I'll say it again - these mice really shouldn't be a consideration unless you've got money to burn.
That was about to be my next mouse if it has two buttons at the left of left click like g502. G502 does not have Bluetooth, so it is also not an option for me. So, still looking for a g502 with Bluetooth.
Kone xp air
@@smackinj7164 yeah, I know it. But did you check the quality issues with that mouse, it is terrible
@ Your source for this information? I have been looking into getting the kone xp and haven't seen anything negative.
Why is no bluetooth a no go for you? All it does is adding latency when used and weight when not.
@@User-ec2bh you are right, however, I do use my mouse for work as well, and I don't need low latency while working. I need to switch the wireless dongle everytime I switch from my personal laptop to work laptop. Considering that those mice are expensive and switching to another mouse every now and then is not a good feeling, I would like to stick with one mouse to rule them all.
Btw, I bought naga v2 pro and quite happy with it. It has finger rest which makes me question why others do not have it.
At almost $300 Canadian for the package I'm having a hard time with it.
