The concept of third places/green spaces has been incorporated in Danish city planning for years. As you have been in Copenhagen, you must have seen people chilling out every where, even at cemeteries. We WANT our spaces, preferable green.
Copenhagen is very much designed and planned. As a British politician said: "Nothing in DK happens by coincidence, it is all by design". There is a little truth in that. Danes love design, any kind. We are pragmatic, it has to function well, but if it at the same time looks good, it is great.

Thank you for taking the time to share your deep thoughts! I was impressed by the amount of green third spaces in Aarhus and Copenhagen. I also visited the Assistens Cemetery in Copenhagen, which will be featured in a future vlog. That was the nicest cemetery I’ve ever visited.
