Thank you! I felt like I was going back into time, whether it be centuries ago or just back in my teenage and university years with the preserved Blockbuster Videos building 😀

there are many great things about craftmanship and trades, it's areas we always need in society , there are loads of obs for those with skills, they get educated without having a huge debt (if you live in a country where higher education is not tax funded)they can buy a home and get a family while young and other young people are paying off debt , they cant start their own business quite easily, build on their skills if they want and a lot of them actually earn a lot of money, some trades pay more tan many higher educations , and a lot take a useless education these days

Good points! Seeing that we have a worldwide shortage of tradespeople, it’s important that we have these programs and keep the tuition low.

Thanks for the clarification. I was impressed how one of the houses from Copenhagen was reassembled there. They had a nice display detailing the process.

Yeah, Den Gamle By isn't a museum you "check out" quickly. I would reserve at least a couple of hours. Three if you bring children.

Very true! I had no idea how intricate the exhibits were and definitely more time for the children to enjoy some of the displays they had for them.

FUn fact about trade education in Denmark. It takes 4.5 years to gain full education, the longest in the world.
Which means a lot of tradesmen, and woman, are highly sought after outside of Denmark, in fact most new 'traditional' sweedish wooden homes are built by Danes.

Thank you for sharing! It sounds like Danish tradespeople are the most trained in the world. It certainly speaks through the buildings at Den Gamle By that have held up over the centuries!
