How to Draw Faces FAST (EASY Step-by-Step Tutorial)

- If drawing faces is a struggle for you, this step-by-step tutorial will help. This technique is one of the fastest, easiest ways I know to sketch a face in around a minute. You can then take it further and add more details to the drawing to really refine your face sketch or add your own unique style. Similar to the Loomis method for drawing heads but even more straightforward, I break the face down into quick sections using simple shapes and lines. This is just one of many techniques you can use to improve your drawing, and I hope you find it helpful!

I've been trying to simplify my portraits for so long. This video just absolutely solved my problem 😭😭. Now that I can draw faces I’m going to draw movie characters (like Mike wazowski) and put a bunch of detail into the head and face but then leave the other parts and appendages normal and put them on my classmates desks. They won’t know who is giving them these drawings but they will be deeply disturbed.

Hands are the only thing harder to draw than the face because you need to have perfect proportions.
Very true. That's why I use lots of guidelines and continuously check them against each other.
Which pencil you use
Graphite or charcoal
I use Staedtler Mars Lumograph graphite pencils. The darker grades get very dark, similar to charcoal.
