Just in case anyone is wondering, this technique of drawing heads is called the Loomis Method. You can research more into it and enhance drawing portraits (I personally love this technique myself.) Thank you for sharing this po! 🧡
Interesting! I remember watching videos by Proko for anatomy and he's mentioned it too but i haven't fully read into the Loomis method (maybe because i find it easier to learn from videos than books) maybe i should look into it more!

I'm a natural artist. As a kid, drawing was my kind of breathing. Literally everytime I did not know what to do, I just drew. But I turned depressed at a very early age and I at some point lost interest in it. Now, I am 20, and feel able to return back to myself and I really want to draw as many faces as possible to be able to just scribble a face casually as I always did when I was a child. This is gonna help me so much doing that. Thank you so much
This genuinely helped me regain my motivation to draw. For so long I've been so frustrated with the way I drew head shapes and faces, and now I get to be happy about something I drew. :D
This is awesome. I'm picking my art back up after almost 2 decades, trying to get back to the core of who I am. Never been able to just free hand, but after watching this, I've drawn three different faces using the same technique. Thank you❤️.
I hated tutorials up until this point. This is salvation, I am incredibly grateful to you. It's so cool, I got really not bad faces! I've been relying on self-practice all this time... I will prepare for admission, thank you from Ukraine 💓

I copied along with you and drew my first one in over 10 years! last time I tried was in my first year of high school and it looked so bad so I never did it again. thank you for your simple but helpful visuals and voiceover :)
This was CRAZY!!! I used different colors for the different lines for each thing like the nose was florescent orange, the circles for the skull were turquoise, the sunglasses area for the eyes were hot pink and the box for the mouth is grass green. Then I did as you did and used black to put in the features (Oh the shoulders and neck on the one from the side are turquoise). It sounds like it would be a huge mess but I used the colors to make key saying what color is for what structure and hmmmm.....if I keep practicing this I will gain so much so fast. And I eat shading out aside from some hair. She looks bonkers but as long as I understand it, hey, my sketchbook is colorful!
I just wanted to thank you for this tutorial. I hadn't done much drawing in years before this past month, and any time I did, I've had such a hard time with heads/faces, it got me discouraged. Even in the years before, I just didn't have the best sense of the structure. But after watching this, I can't even BELIEVE how quickly it helped me! I've been doing a lot of practice sketches, and the faces/heads are better than I ever remember doing them before! So thank you SO much!! This was so very helpful!! ❤ Tutorials help, people! I never would have thought to learn a bunch of faces at the same time! It's amazing to see all the features develop on all of them as the video goes on
This is so helpful, thank you. I've watched countless videos of artists painting portraits on youtube and instagram but they would never, ever show how they drew the face before painting it, which is the most important part of the portrait. I suspect for some of them it's because they trace a photo first. I don't hate tracing, I think it does have a place in art at times but it shouldn't replace having the skills to actually draw well.
You are amazing. I'm self-taught "artist" and this is the first time I saw someone using same methods as I do and am really excited. I'm not as good as you for now but this really motivated me cuz i saw that my drawing technique isn't wrong and actually can work bc it works for u so well ❤

Hi, I know you probably wont see this but I just wanted to thank you so much for this video. You have no idea how much you've helped me. Drawing faces has always been my weak spot and the loomis method never made sense to me before. I have watched lots of other videos and none of them made it as clear to me as yours did.
