I've been a fan of the 9110 simply because of the wide compatibility it offers - in particular, it's especially great as an aftermarket PS3 controller for games that don't rely on accelerometer controls. EasySMX doesn't specify PS3 for the 9124, but I don't know if this is because it actually isn't compatible or because the PS3 is simply "old" in their eyes? Have you had the opportunity to test this?
@@PughsReview Was worth a try, thanks for responding so quickly. Just written to EasySMX to ask them directly. Also asked if they are planning on offering a plain color scheme as that controller is genuinely an eyesore lol.
@@powersquire8537 I heard back from EasySMX and they said that it *isn't* PS3-compatible, which is odd because I've been hearing from multiple sources that it works just fine? Strange. Apparently there will be other color schemes coming though (thank God!)
Great video, thank you. I have a question if you don't mind. Is it possible to map a button (say X), to one of the back buttons so that it presses X both when I press the back button AND when I release the back button? Essentially it allows me to double press X, but I can control how long I want before the second press during gameplay by holding the back button down for however long I need to. Thank you!
Thanks a lot, i used your link and code is still working too. I watched other review of cheaper 9124 and it looks like it's not disassemble friendly, so it worries me a bit if it really is true, that there are Hall sensors inside. It's not like we can confirm that without breaking the gamepad.
I tested it. But probably received a Monday model, it was broken. After about 10 minutes, the left joystick did not react in the same way to the left/right anymore, with changed sensitivity. Reset, again o.k. for 10 minutes, until changed again. Controller was absolutely useless. Looked like some kind of drift. Had contact with the service. They pretended to be 'stupid' for 3 weeks, so I gave up. The controller is now lying in the corner in the e-waste. Hope this isn't a serial problem with the Hall sensor on the Joysricks.
Careful with 8bitdo, especially Pro 2 and Ultimate have a problem with RB breaking, mine did on 2 Pro 2 models so now I am looking for Gamesir or 1st party controller or this one in the video

Odd how it doesn’t work on a ps4 but at least it does work on ps3 which I could use for my ps3

you cant press 1 button to get 2 press but maybe if you press x and the back button close to the same time you could.

Appreciate the support. I would assume they wouldn't lie that would ruin them as a brand. I am a trustworthy person 🤣
@@PughsReview The fact, that you are a trustworthy person, calmes me down 100%, and i am totally not worried anymore 🤣😅
😅😂
Does this have hall effect sensors?

Most affordable controller w/ Hall effect joystick sensors I’ve seen so far

Thank you, but i don't understant the real difference with the non pro controller.
Seems like the 8bitdo ultimate is still the best controller out there.
It is top tier for sure.
