Fun fact about the E3, if you find yourself facehugging one, you can shoot into the little pockets left and right of the gun mantle where the upper plate dips to make room for the mantle. Its only 170mm thick.

Steve - the reason that the lower plate 'armour' is not modelled in the corners is because it is not armour at all! this is also the reason why you can blow the track off. It is in fact the suspension for the first road wheel!
If you angle it properly, the VK 100 will not have any spot with less than 220mm effective armor. This makes it the best counter to the BZ I could find, because if you know what you're doing, they can pick between bouncing off their AP, or doing 140 damage with HE. The cupola has a roughly 50-50 chance for an HE penetration though, so don't get too cocky! However, if you really want to make BZ.176 players seethe, use the VK. (Also, it can easily shoot the BZ's roof, even if you face-hug it, just as an added bonus)
Part two when the eyebrow regrows. Yes they do regrow Steve, Despite what some said about their sisters or wives plucking their eyebrows until there are none left and having to tattoo them on, the difference is that when you shaved them, you did not pull the follicle out at the same time. In fact, in later life men's eye brows begin a life of their own and start to grow rapidly as if they are some hairy caterpillar trying to take over your head!
Still haven’t forgiven WG for nerfing back the E5 because players were crying that the cupola was too “strong” after the buff. Yet you didn’t hear an outrage when the S. conq, came along just months later at the same year with it’s -10 gun depression, faster reloading, well sloped and can be hidden cupola and it’s nearly symmetrical turret face with spaced armor. Fuckers…, I like the S. conq, but that was just reallt annoying to see. Also you forgot the side armor of the IS-4
Probably the most Bullshit thing Wargaming's done to mid tiers prior to the BZ-176 is the VK 100.01. Imagine you have to face this thing with the mighty T29! Combine the absolutely insane armour with Wargaming's gobshite corridor map design, and lower tiers get to just bend over and take it unless the guy is a moron. Even worse if you are in a medium tank like a Sherman or a T-43. Even with gold rounds, the side and rear armor can be troll as hell, and if you run out while "just flanking"? Well... You get to paddle merrily up shit creek with your hands today, my son!

Theres a small spot on the e3 cupola that you can actually pen. It's around 250mm effective.
