What a fabulous effect! An amazing statement. Dare I say would be stunning with a red lacquered cabinet in a gorgeous boutique's powder room. Like a fierce pair of leopard kitten pumps with that 'designer' red lacquer sole. 💓
Incredible makeover and relatively easy. Just what I was looking for. I’ve been binge watching your videos looking for a method at which I could actually succeed. I am overwhelmed with choices in techniques and patterns and very excited to have found this video. Now I’m off to find the perfect foil as I try to reinvent my two 20 + year old plain Jane bathrooms and put off complete renovations for a while. Thank you so much. And I love Your teaching method. Thank you so much.
I just watched the previous video of the hammered copper and this one popped up. OMG Leopard pattern! I'm not going to watch this...Totally amazed at the end result. This is a great project Rhonda and it makes me want to run down to the ReSTORE and grab one and try this! AWESOME!
This technique is SO gorgeous!!! To be honest, at first, I thought this would look tacky, but it's NOT!!! Looks so stylish, cool, and contemporary!! I have some tables I'm refurbishing and I would love to do this on one of them!! It's screaming for just this technique!
This is awesome!!! Live the idea of using fouls! I have been epoxy coating with fabric for some time, but I am definitely going to try a foil project! Cheers!
Oh my goodness! I LOVE IT! You had me at LEOPARD PRINT! My husband did a video of taking a MASSIVE STONE and making a sink / countertop out of it. It's on my channel if you want to check it out. Now he needs to master this technique for me. Thanks so much. Excellent. I would never want for another sink!
Beautiful old made new! Love it! Can I put resin or epoxy on my granite counter top! Had no idea how much it would streak! No matter how I clean it! What do you think?
You can apply over granite you’ll just have to prep first with a really good bonding primer such as XIM. We sell this on our website 😊. www.rk3designs.com
I pour the epoxy on the flat surface first. Then use my hand or a brush and just continue to reapply on the verticals surface. As it pools I pick it up and reapply. I do this until the epoxy starts to set up. The epoxy that runs down the sink I catch on a bucket and reapply as well. Then I let it dry.
Awesome!! You do such a nice job!! Beautiful effect and very unique, as you always do, I love it!! You do very specialized work that people want and LOVE!
Loved the film print technique. How do you get an adequate, even flood coat on the backsplash and bowl without it pooling at the bottom or running out the hole?
Chris Nash that’s a great question. I like to let the epoxy sit just a bit to firm up, then I use a paintbrush and paint it on a little at a time. I rarely use heat on the basin or backsplash to avoid making the epoxy fluid again and run.
@@RK3Designs thank you! i should have watched the whole video before asking the question! lolol you answered it a couple seconds after i asked it lol...
That is really neat!! I've wondered how to epoxy a sink that is part of a counter or even if epoxy can handle the issues a sink faces.... I love this tutorial! 💞💞👏👏
Holy crap!! That is GORGEOUS!!! Trying to think of where to do this cuz, I HAVE to have this somewhere!!! I have got to quit watching your videos OR, buy a MUCH bigger house with like 10 bathrooms!!😂😂 Know any sugar daddies I can call?😂😂😂 Thank you SO MUCH for all of your ahhhmazing tutorials!!🥰
Could you please tell me what are these foils called so that i can look for them on the internet. This is because i could not understand how the print side which you kept on top got transferred onto the adhesive on surface. Is it so that the print on these foils on actually lower side and upper side is just transparent layer.
Ajit Sharma the are that are originally used in the textile industry. The only ones I use and recommend come from Artistic Painting Studio follow this link bit.ly/RK3Designs_ 😊
Hello.!! I am a new-bee to this product and techniques used to resurface counter tops and sinks. I bought a black marble kit for the counter top. However my sink is not integrated into the counter top. I really wanted to coat my sink in a metallic copper. I bought the epoxy and copper mica powder. Is this doable..? I really want the copper accent for my sink. I appreciate your expert advice. I am a bit scared to try it, because I have never done this before. Please help. thank you so much..!!
Hi there. You can do the sink. You’ll need to prep very well with a bonding primer first. I use XIM and sell it on our website www.rk3designs.com After the primer then paint with Rustoleum hammered copper. Comes in a can. Just roll it on. The tint the epoxy with copper mica powder and apply. You’ll need to keep brushing it on until the material thickened up. 😊
I'm sure it can be. Just make sure if you go into the actual sink, that you prep it very well with 2 coats of bonding primer, then two coats of your base paint. I use Behr paint and primer in one. Let that dry at least 24 hours then apply the adhesive. If you do yours, I would love to see pictures!! Have fun!
Wow ! This will sole my problem with the molded in back splash . I did not want to remove the kitchen counter top ,to much work for this pushing 70 crazy DIY granny.
Terri Juanette yep. You could do a foil, or any epoxy finish over it. Just make sure you prep with a good bonding primer. Most of the finishes I’ve done on my videos would more on existing countertops 😊
Yes. Clean the surface well before you start to sand so you don't push any dirt into the surface as you sand. I would use an 80 grit sandpaper. You'll just love what you can do on top of old granite. I would love to see your project when you're done!!!
I've spent WEEKS looking thru bathroom suite brochures getting more and more confused...... The moment I saw this!!!!..... Someone PLEASE make me this!!!
LEOPARD anything is my favorite! I have died and gone to heaven with this sink! I can't believe it! Nothing better than this ever!

😂😂. Awww. Thank you!!! ❤️
I never would have thought about doing the inside of the sink! I love this so much!
It's just so much fun!!!!
Beautiful, you did a very good job on the lines around the sink, keeping it straight where the transition is to a new pattern.

Kimberly Lorraine Bradford THANK YOU 😊❤️
I would have loved to see how you did the heavy coat of resin without it pooling in places or running off too much.
Whoa this technique is very interesting, artistic & amazing, thanks for sharing this!
Tony Pham you bet. Thanks for watching!!!!
I love these foils, i was wondering if you don't want to epoxy it what else is safe to use to seal it or does it have to be sealed? thanks!
It does have to be sealed. I would think any good waterproof sealer would work. Just have to make sure it doesn’t mask the metallics.
I loved the tutorial. You made it very easy to understand and follow your steps. Well done. I've never seen anything like it
I really like the foils and look forward to trying some!
Now you’ve got me excited to try the sample foil sheets I bought awhile back!

what is the reason for the black foil first?? cant you omit this step where the base is already painted black? and this is amazing!!!
Absolutely! But black foil will give a sort of shimmery. You could definitely omit and just use the leopard foil 😊😊

@@RK3Designs Thanks for your reply. But i would like to know if the normal gift wrap foils can be used for the purpose.I am from Chandigarh, India.
No, those foils will not work. Needs to be textile foils ment for transfer.
Loved this, thank you 😊
Tracey B thank you so much for watching!!! 😊
What kind of brush are you using to apply the foil... it looks like a plain old scrub brush. I didn't see it anywhere in your art supplies page.
Yes, it’s just a scrub brush I bought at Walmart. Just not super stiff.
Can we completely paint a design on a countertop with spray paints and craft paints, then just clear epoxy over it?
You bet! Just make sure you give your paint plenty of time to dry😊
Love the leppard look I never knew about foils till now but this is amazing. Meow Rhonda 👍
