I kinda do not understand the point of putting sumo wrestler into match where he is not really allowed to use some wrestling while his oponent is allowed to use his prefered style with no limitations. At several points it seemed as if the sumo guy simply had no idea what to do with his hands. It was just weird. Well, resistance Made its job... Sumō wrestlers are trained to do strong flash attacks in matches that dont last More than 5 minutes. As you can see, this video shows a very unfair duel under terms that only helps kickboxer. Since minute one, you can see that referee is basically protecting kickboxer from massive attacks that sumō wrestler should be allowed to do. Under sumō rules, kickboxer does not have a chance.
Wow, he was just picking him apart. I was expecting the sumo wrestler to win in about 20 seconds. Amazing match. That high kick was so fast, I thought it was a body shot at first.
I mean for real he did do pretty decent for his first time kickboxing. most people would’ve gotten slept their first time kickboxing against someone who is highly experienced. He was coming out strong in the first half and then remy got comfortable and started throwing shots to the head, it was a wrap. It was kind of fun to watch not gonna lie. A Pointless match up but fun. People do this all the time some guys from boxing going to MMA some guys from MMA going to boxing. It is what it is
@@k.h.3905 I enjoyed it and he had good hand speed just got caught. He could have got one in first. I doubt anyone forced him to do it and he went in against the best to test himself. I didnt make fun of him. You just have an depressive view of the situation. Not sad at all
The big problem here is that when they get knocked out nobody can get em up on their feet or out of the ring. That's a lot of weight for an arse to land on, spinal damage is very real.
Ok 20 seconds in im wondering if the guy feels the kick goin into his mid section, thus is an honest question, also I can see the legs failing after lots of kicks, I haven't watched it all yet but I'd just like to say I honestly think the fight was over the second he was on the ground and was shoved over. Id love to see him get out from underneath a motivated big guy. FYI I'm not putting down either fighter at all. I weigh 20 stone. I was wondering about the kicks to the stomach because I recently fell down the stairs from looking at phone, fell over the banister from 9 foot in the air landed on my shoulder. I slowly got up expecting to have broken something or worse as hit a bike n radiator. . . . Nothin, no bruising or nothin, not even winded. I was very happy but shocked.
That first round flurry had some weight behind the punches, but after that he was completely spent and the punches were just wet noodles. Should've called the fight after the second round. The ref just gave that man brain damage for no reason, the fight was already over at that point.
Chad Rowan / Akebono should not have tried kickboxing at his weight. Maybe 75 lbs lighter he could have done something. I used to see him around Honolulu in early 1990s eating at buffet restaurants!
Lots of Chanko nabe with a sake chaser. Looks like he hasn't changed his diet one bit. Many of these sumos slim down once they retire from the sport...not Chad. Up early in the morning for practice; consume mass quantities of food, drink sake, go to sleep with a full stomach...rinse and repeat.
That was one of none of the fights of this african "remy" in which he looks combative and having willing to engage in. In the rest of his fights.. he always looks like he trying to AVOID engaging and were always unable to use punches. He had a terrible affraid of opponemt punches... sadly that sumo fighter was unable to throw even one punch, he just was "driving" punches, no impulse behind his punches.
Tut tut what an uneducated comment it was the grandprix and exactly why k1 was so good no weights just different disciplines if you thought this was a mis match watch mighty mo vs kaonorsigg amazing 😉
