I never realized Mark Sheppard is such a comic/pop culture nerd.

What I love most about Doom Patrol is how they unapologetically refuse to run away from the weird.
The weirdest thing modern mainstream comic films/movies have run with has been a talking raccoon. Everything else gets changed to be more consumable by mainstream audiences.
Doom Patrol just says "Oh, an army of monstrous butts? Sex ghosts? *A sentient, teleporting, all-inclusive, gender-queer Street???* Oh yeah, bring it all the fuck on!"
The comics get even weirder.
One of the most absurd things that I love about Doom Patrol are those "Sex Ghosts". They're never going away, lmao.
I love how they show up randomly out of nowhere. At any point of any episode you might see Ghosts having sex in the corner or on the ceiling. Always makes me laugh.

Doom patrol is one of the best dc shows ever made. Love how it tackles forgiveness and accepting yourself with flaws and all. I enjoy how it doesn't matter how it bad you were you can all redeem and be a better person. Mark Sheppard should be on every show ever made
All you need to know about Doom Patrol is that there's an episode in which a dude flexes the wrong muscle and causes nearly everyone around him to explosively orgasm.

Once I started Doom Patrol, it was a total marathon binge. It is just so so good. The characters are truly interesting amid all the crazy hijinks.

This man really does love this show. Met him at a convention and had him signed Kipling's first appearance comic, He totally geeked out and went around to the other celebrities showing off my book. It was an amazing fan moment.
Yeah he’s a very humble guy I wrote him a heartfelt message on one of his instagram storys and he actually liked and replied to me i was so shocked waking up to his text saying “thank you very much I appreciate all the love” it sad tho because he got left out the industry he gets so little attention i hope he has more screen time in season 4 he deserves it all
Doom patrol is absolutely amazing and it’s a shame no ones seen it. So good way better than I thought it would be.

@@ryanmussell739 Truthfully my least favorite part of the series is the inclusion of Cyborg. I don't have that big of a problem with the character or the actor, he just doesn't fit the team. As a comic fan, it just doesn't work for me.
It makes so much sense that Willoughby Kipling was supposed to be a Constantine substitute. He's very much the same sort of disheveled, chaotic "paranormal drunken master" archetype as a John Constantine or Dirk Gently.
Mark Sheppard is one of those actors where every time he turns up in a show/movie, it just immediately gets better for me. Always a ton of fun to see him.
Brenden Frasier is a wonderful actor , it's amazing to finally get back to it. Especially everything this man has been through. This man has literally been to hell (Monkey Bone) and back. I would love to sit here all day and list the GREAT movies this man has been in but y'all know the legend 💯👍👍🥂

Mark clearly knows his comics as well as his Harry Potter. Not something I expected, but I'm pleasantly surprised to hear it.

Doom Patrol defies any specific category of genre, and it is wonderful. The most wacky, beautiful, weird, amazing show on TV. You just have to strap in and go along for the ride, it is worth it.
I love Doom Patrol, I love Mark Sheppard and I love that he is just as into Doom Patrol as we are.

Doom Patrol is the greatest hero series ever made and I will truly miss it. Amazing aesthetics,epic writing and so many themes in perfect balance w such wonderful weirdness.
It's definitely about mental health and self discovery. Whether it be sexuality or finding yourself. Doom Patrol is amazing piece of art. I recommend it greatly.

Doom Patrol is a great show that people need to watch, the cast alone is worth the watch, but it truly is about mental health like Moonknight is doing right now.
I'm still absolutely gutted that Timothy Dalton won't be back, he was amazing as Caulder, but the writing and acting is still awesome.
It's beautifully weird and unashamedly so.

I don't know what it is about Mark Sheppard, but the guy just takes over scenes and chews them up. His presentation and presence in a scene is always spot on. I can't remember the first show I saw him in, either new Battle Star Galactica as the lawyer or something before that. But I always try to watch when he is on screen. The guy just kills it.

The Boys, Doom Patrol, and the late lamented Legion are the comic book series for people who hate comic book series.
As much as I love those shows, I think they might actually be too weird and bizarre for most non-comic people. Ditto for Umbrella Academy. “Normal” people often aren’t prepared for how absurd the world of comics becomes, and I’ve gotten mixed reactions from people I’ve recommended them to.

Yup his dad was actor W Morgan Sheppard. They have even worked together a couple of times. They were both had an appearance in Doctor Who. His dad played an older version of his character.

1) I love Doom Patrol. Comic and TV show. 2) I love how much of a nerd Sheppard is. He's got the grovely voice and the gravely look but… he's an old whovian who's into weird comics and the like.
And yes, explaining Doom Patrol to outsiders inevitably makes one sound like a rembling, incoherent mess. It must be experienced, not told.

Grant Morrison's Doom Patrol was an absolutely mind-bogglingly amazing run. And I was leery that TV could pull off an interpretation. But perfect writing, casting, and the willingness to go the insane places it needs to go has just killed it! Freaking stunning. Crazy Jane is both the best character in comics and on TV. Much like the comic it's not just good, it's near perfection. Yeah, I kinda like it.
First two seasons were great.
Doom Patrol is one of the best shows on television. The first season was so weird. Every episode had something I had never seen. Usually a show is just a mix of things that was already done. NOT Doom Patrol. The cast is the best mix of characters. And the acting is just breathtaking.
