  • Unboxing the new Epiphone Limited Edition Matt Heafy Snowfall Les Paul Custom - Alpine White 6-string electric guitar. Here are all the specs from the internet. Or at-least most of them. And don't criticize the playing. This guitar is awesome and Beautiful. Not sure why the sound came out crappy, may be it is time to invest in a decent microphone.
Matt Heafy's groove-laden metallic grind is at the heart of Trivium's sonic assault, and his "Snowfall" Les Paul Custom Outfit is a surefire way to achieve it. This guitar is loaded with high-end USA-made features like a glued-in, deep-set neck joint and a comfortable Axcess heel. The "Snowfall" Les Paul Custom delivers raw tone and serious aggression, thanks to a pair of EMG active pickups. This axe is very eye-catching as well, decked out in an exclusive Alpine White gloss finish. Complete with a signed Certificate of Authenticity, the Epiphone Matt Heafy "Snowfall" Les Paul Custom reflects its namesake's distinctive approach to guitar.
Designed in collaboration with Trivium's Matt Heafy
Trivium has scored legions of fans since their debut in 2000. Their aggressive sound has Matt Heafy to thank for his furious guitar prowess. Epiphone worked with Matt to create a signature Les Paul he'd be proud of while also bringing excellent performance at a price affordable for everyone. Take a look at the Matt Heafy "Snowfall" Les Paul Custom, and you'll see that you're getting much more than you'd expect for a guitar at this price.

      DaddyDick
You know I had to go grab my Gibson LP to compare and you know they are close but the Matt Heafy has a better feel to it, even though they are both 12” radius. Now I looked up a Jackson Dinky and I copied this
Down low, your fretting hand will appreciate the 12" radius that keeps things nice and comfortable for natural, relaxed chord work. Up top, a 16" radius lays it all out flat for effortless, low-action high-speed runs and monumental string bends without fretting out.

      @@groovieguy
Why would you claim there's no kill pot when the video YOU UPLOADED features it (quite clearly) being engaged @ 7:26 ? That's blatantly obvious, and I could understand if no one ever engaged it because there's at least plausible deniability if you're unaware.. But clearly Norton is pushing the kill pot and the resulting effect is quite distinct; there's no mistaking a kill pot's sound since nothing else can replicate it, not even a toggle switch volume up / volume down setup like Tom Morello uses - the kill pot's sound is distinguished by the clean loss of signal as opposed to the Tom Morello method which features the switching "clicks" quite prominently in the effect due to the nature of the technique where the output is merely switched over to a different pickup which although is muted for the most part, still retains the hiss of the empty signal as well as the electromagnetic clicks as the signal is cycled between the two pickups and never actually "kills" the signal, while the kill pot actually cuts all power to and from the entire circuitry which again, has a very distinct effect since the signal is gone while the kill pot is engaged instead of highly attenuated on one pickup for the Morello method... I'm sure I'm being recursive but it can't be stressed enough just how different these effects are from the other..
If you have a guitar which features both a kill pot as well as a dedicated volume for each pickup, try both methods next to each other and if you can't hear a blatantly obvious difference then it's probably time to employ a tutor and start over from the scratch with your approach to the instrument.. Or just accept your extra chromosome and disregard this explanation entirely.
Now, why do I highlight the difference? Because I'm trying to anticipate any reason why you might feign ignorance or retain the plausibly deniable aspect of your explanation as to why you are not willing to admit that the OP asked a simple question and you gave him the exact opposite answer, even going so far as to list several features of the specs, presumably to highlight the (incorrect) idea that this guitar does not, in fact, have a kill pot when it most certainly does have a kill pot..
It's crazy how much disinformation we accept without challenge and I for one am not willing to lend any credibility to deception in any regard by consciously making a decision to know that the information being disseminated is patently false while implying agreement through my silence.. Fuck that.
OP: Yes, you heard the kill pot and it certainly didn't just show up in post production as an audio effect - its the kill pot that dude used on the instrument itself and so yes, there is, is the answer to your question.
