With many sedans disappearing, I'm glad Toyota is bringing more innovation back to this segment. Way to go, Toyota!
This is a crossover though if I'm not mistaken.
Fifteenth generation (S220) Crown is a real sedan this is what they should have brought over.
This is a cross over, and listed as SUV in their Japan site. But they do have a new crown sedan.
It's not the original crown sold in Japan. The original crown is an executive sedan
@@vipsavior It's a japanese exclusive model. It will never be sold in USA
Just bought mine last week. I LOVE IT! I’m a Lyft driver and my riders are insanely impressed. My tips have gone way up. Back seat is soooo large and comfy !!!! And 40 mpg!!!! Toyota did it right as always. Most of my riders have never heard of the crown.
I can tell you one thing, I am a Tesla owner and love my Model 3 but this Crown is incredibly beautiful and has a commanding presence on the road! I like the 2 tone one but the solid color one is just as amazing!
It is a POS!!!! I have one read my comments!@@Magnus_Magnusson_702
its simply amazing. I see why the Crown is top tier Toyota. Made in Japan too!
Hello Toyota. I am impressed by the striking beauty of this model. I do not regret and I will not regret the fact that I am a fan of this brand! Thank you for existing!❤️🙏

I love the design renaissance car companies have been going through these last few years. Even the affordable cars look sweet and futuristic
If by "design renaissance" you mean lifting normal sedans and adding LED lightbars, sure. But this is honestly not a good move forward.
Why raise it by 4" when lowering it gives you so much better handling.... pathetic
What are you on dude everything has been getting unglier
@@conorallen100 its called an opinion and clearly more people watching this video agree that is looks better
@@conorallen100 lmao…you’d take a 2012 Corolla over this?
Except for BMW, they've totally lost the plot
I'm kinda liking this vehicle so far. I do like the older Crowns of the past that were only sold in Japan. It's a nice luxury car. Wish we could get the estate version. I like the looks of it.
I own a very vip built 2004 toyota crown over here in canada . Just imported it this year, was excited when I heard we were finally getting new crowns and then I saw this and was let down . Crowns are toyota longest running production car and we're known for luxury and to be used by rich business people. And we're always a sedan , not a cross over. They shouldve stuck to sedan , with the usual reclining rear seats and so on .
@@jordancleal6380 the new Crown is supposedly replacing the Avalon. I’m looking forward to this new vehicle coming here to the Americas as a global vehicle finally. I know the older Crowns looked better, and I agree, but I’m giving the new version a chance here. It might fare well with certain customers.
@@MarkMeadows90 According to Toyota themselves, theres another new Crown variant which is a sedan one, though only exclusive to Japan and wont sell the sedan overseas
The "crossover" Crown is literally Accord Crosstour with Tesla X wheels lol
The older crowns also sold in our country as well at the Toyota showroom in my country the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago this was more use by rich people and also for the past prime minister's and president's of our country 🇹🇹🇹🇹
I'm glad to see Toyota offering more sedan choices for those who don't want or need an SUV. I really like they styling of the Crown, mainly because it doesn't have an obnoxiously large, odd-looking grille on it. The only thing I'm disappointed by, is the fixed glass sunroof. Either offer a real opening sunroof or don't offer one at all.
It has a large mostly fake grille on the front. This is not a sedan it’s more of a crossover or coupe suv.
I think it looks good, honestly I think it resembles the Venza’s rear more than anything ❤️
I bought a 2023 Venza XLE Nightshade edition. It is a beautiful car. Well done Toyota.
All it does is look good but is BAD!!! A sure cluster f-ck!!! I made the mistake of buying one!!! I have left comments and you can check them out here.
I love the look of this car. In certain angles, the styling reminds me of the Honda Civic and Mazda 6.
Toyota got tired of designing ugly lackluster cars.
And that exactly is my problem maybe is just me but it shouldnt look like civic or mazda… crown should compete with the likes of s class 7 series bmw
Them smaller inch wheels were on the civic but they are gorgeous either way
me too.i love toyota car
true
Love the look both inside and outside! Was hoping this was EV but that Hybrid Max system is very tempting. Will buy the Premium package just for that extra boost in speed. I also just realized that move set is used for almost all Toyota commercials and photoshoots.
Happy new buying!
It could've easily been an EV, but Toyota is determined to make both. That means more high gas prices to deal with, engine oil to change, transmission fluid to change, spark plugs to change,
that set is located in the Warner Brother studio in Burbank, CA near the water fountain from FRIENDS
Why tf would you want an EV
@@rkgsd No one wants an EV for this. Make no sense for most people.
I LOVE it! Platinum Edion for me. Well done Toyota. Well done. There is are reason why Toyota is on the top. With so many amazing different vehicles on the market and each with that legendary Toyota quality, I honestly don't know how this company does it all.
We love hearing this! Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the Toyota Crown! 👑
@@toyotausa celica needed
This is probably the first car that has peaked my interest this much in such a long time
Please release the sedan version of the crown line-up too! I saw the reveal show, and I felt like the sedan version was the only one which kept the true essence of the Japanese Crown design language. It was breathtaking, and really stood out compared to all the other industrial fit for the crossover/suv demand.
it may happen but i doubt it that car is slept on
@@nightwish4509 Oh it will, though only in Japanese market, not overseas unfortunately
Isn’t the car classified as a sedan tho?
@@ODMonkey It is "marketed" that way, but it's obviously a crossover.. they have a "true" sedan designed, but it is most likely won't come to North America. It's unfortunate because it's G O R G E O U S!
This IS a sedan.
Just got one. Absolutely love it!!!
We're glad that you're happy with your new Crown, Kevin! 😊
That car is absolutely stunning.
its very good looking this new toyota crown.
Thanks for the love! What about the Toyota Crown makes it so impressive for you?
Toyota for the win!
We appreciate the love, Dylan!
❣️
Hey Toyota USA, just waiting patiently for an all new version of your guy’s best selling sedan the Toyota Camry 💯👀🍹
Aesthetic and elegant 2023 TOYOTA Crown ever! 💖💖💖
It looks cool. The design is clean and nice 😍
If only I didn’t have to camp out at a dealership like I did when getting my 2022 Tacoma.. finding a new Toyota is like hitting the lottery
Looks great! But when I first saw it I thought Toyota made it a SUV haha, I wish I could get one!
I’m seriously impressed by the new design.
We're glad you like it! Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the Toyota Crown! 👑
@@toyotausa What about Celica
I will abandon my loyalty to Honda just to get this!! Excellent design and quality outside AND INSIDE 😍😍😍
Thanks for sharing your excitement, Dante! We know you'll love it! 👑
Love how unique this is, Toyota is truly presenting something new to the market, looks bz4x ish and lucid air and civic ish all at the same time with hopefully some off road capabilities, wished the tail gate was more gt than sedan tho.
Give the US the real Crown sedan please!!! The Sedan Crown is the true Crown in the new line up!
This is alright. However, I REALLY like the Avalon.
So do I but 2022 is the Avalon's last year, sadly. This however looks to be a great replacement for it!
Nice. It's giving vibe of the modern Kia and BMW.
What is Old is New again,
Q-uality
D-urability
R-eliability
Toyota, i love this car
The crown in Europe and Japan looks Waay bettter
The name says it all! This car is beautiful ❤
Thanks for sharing, Sagar! We're glad you love it too! 👑
Thanks for bringing the crown to NA market.
Looking forward to a future sport luxury sedan this looks really good too, might get this!
This is the voice and music I expect to hear when I unmute the Facebook video, except instead of a Pacific islander digging out a romantic cave house its a dope new throwback
I hope that Turbo hybrid can still maintain Toyota reliability. BTW I'm not a fan of black roof and 21in wheels. That seems to be the opposite for comfort. I still love the old traditional crown saloon with big tires for comfort and most common light colors like white / silver to keep the heat minimum, etc.. I think nowadays its non car peoples need for small fuel sipping engines and rubber band tires. Toyota just catering the needs.
Similar to the accord and civic which uses the larger rims for more traction and to use run flats. Larger rims and thinner tires are very common in touring cars but larger tires are used in more work heavy cars like trucks and SUVs there might be a reason for larger rims for comfort
@@georgepacheco9983 larger rims and smaller side walls = less comfort. Run flats make it worse. Tires are the first level shock absorber. More rubber with softer non run flat side wall = more shock absorbing and softer ride. I don't understand how traction improve with low profile tires where F1 / Nascar uses more rubber less wheel and produce insane traction. Bigger wheels also add more unstrung mass which seems dumb to me. Again I'm not sure whats the reason for bigger wheels.
I think this would be the only sedan I would ever buy
I've been a crown fanatic for years and honestly the exterior design doesn't quite cut it, however the various specs are quite interesting
We're glad to hear you're a Crown fan! Which features stand out to you the most? 👑
please dont discontinue the toyota avalon
This would be great as a lift back
I've had several Toyotas and I can honestly say "Toyota is the best car on the road".
We appreciate the love and support! ❤️
This is beautiful!
🤩
What about the CRASH test????
Great blend of a sedan, ride height of a crossover, hybrid powertrains, and some really creative exterior and interior designs, the return of the Crown makes a real statement. It may be just what I'm looking for. If it fits my budget, this could be my top choice. I look forward to seeing it firsthand at the LA Auto Show.
Toyota's take on an SUV-looking sedan. I like it!
We're glad you like it too! 👑
I personally liked this step of Toyota entering this unique SUV-sedan segment already introduced by Merc and BMW with their AMG GLE C63 and X6 resp earlier.Totally a different profile.
That black and red looks amazing
looks like an Avalon combined with a CH R more than it does a Crown
I agree
I love u toyota. U took the full size sedan to the next level. I LOVE IT!!!!
Anyone thinking of a 2004 athlete remastered somehow? I love this new model of course..but somehow I still miss that older model.. classic and special class feel like..and curious of what could look like if it's refined a bit more to date
I live in EEUU with 2 jobs and just can’t afford a new car because the cost of living. I own a 4Runner 2000 and that SUV will see me die. Quality/Reliability/Dependency/Well Build. It has 22 years of service and running like a champ.
Hello Toyota USA
Hi Toyota USA
@@joeorlando9477 Hi Orlando Florida
@@M4NA5 Hello M4NA5!
This is modern Toyota
Love it. Hope Toyota prices it right though. If it gets too close to lexus prices, most people will just go lexus. Hated to see the Avalon die, but this is a good replacement.
Thanks for sharing, we're glad you liked it! ❤️
The jury's out but I still like the lines of the Avalon. You try to have a machine that does everything and you end with one that doesn't do anything well.
Any news about the new generation Prius?
Lower the suspension, get rid of that black plastic cladding fender.
See the Sedan version that will be sold everywhere else.
So Happy To See Toyota Crown 👑 Back In Business, Actually No Advertising Need The Name More Than Enough, The Best Car Ever
The Hybrid Max with whopping 340 HP is giving me chills right now
Why not any Crown Logo?
Sorry to say, from the first look I don’t see the soul of Crown here. Those who owns previous crowns knows what I am talking about. This looks like a normal Kia.
Anyway whatever Toyota produces has good quality and safety in them.
Greetings from southern Ontario Canada I really enjoyed the video
Really love the silhouette of the car, but crown always known as the top Toyota premium sedan, not so sure with the cladding to make it look sporty-ish
People will buy anything that remotely looks like an suv, so Toyota had to add the cladding, otherwise it would flop like the Avalon
@@dagoose. yeah make sense
Avalon foundered because Toyota stopped advertising it.
the red and black is so dope
We want the Toyota Avalon back give us the Toyota, Avalon!
this car is probably the most comfortable and stylish toyota i have ever sat in. would totally buy if i had the money!
Love the car
But feel like the ball was fumbled by not making it a liftback especially since it looks like it plus the nonfunctional roof is not desirable
100%
US manufacturers seem to think the sedan is dead yet I see at least 2 Crown's on the road every day! This is an impressive sedan and the fact that I see as many as I see means it's probably selling better than Toyota expected and proves not everyone wants to drive an SUV!
Looks more like a Bugatti Chiron for the poor
Hope they bring this gem to India!
Like not crown. Not luxury
Agree, now its the century which atleast kept intact its luxuriness
@@Real_British ahem.....the OG sedan is still alive
I grew up admiring this Lexurius and comfortable sedan in middle east, but I am not happy to see Crown's badge replaced with basic Toyota logo. Toyota please keep the traditional well known crown badge on the hood and the steering wheel as it is in the rest of the world
Looks like a civic to me
This thing looks AMAZING. I can't believe its a Toyota
Heuh, now its aint a crown i used to know, not pretty elegant luxury design and its a crossover..well i guess the only option left is either go buy the previous gen or toyota century
You forgot to mentioned that there's three other body styles other than this.....and yes the OG sedan is there too
@@kaitospence18 it does, and atleast bit lifting up my disappointment, although i dont like th front grille which like audi R6
love the design and concept so much..and the brand also not to be worried
Nahhh. A subscription for a key fob
If it had more of a classic look and I will definitely purchase this and have it shipped from overseas
Would buy as a first car in 2023!
Saw one on the highway today, it was a platinum. The owners may have thought I was a hit man the way I passed them, then let them go ahead of me as I checked out both sides. After that I presumed speeding down the highway. Nice car.❤
The design dishonours the name and legacy of the Crown. Toyota should have used the Lexus LS platform as the base for the Toyota Crown.
Renamed this the Venza/Avalon and pretend the Crown name wasn’t used.
This "Crossover" is the worst looking one, the "Sedan" version actually looks really clean.
So THAT'S why they are discontinuing the Avalon.
I was expecting to hate it because I prefer the old sedan style Crowns, but this looks not bad!
Plzzz tell me there's a right hand drive version
Not in the market for a new vehicle at the moment but I will be when I pay my ‘19 Sierra off. Already scouting & crunching info as we speak. Toyota, you have my attention. This is beautiful.
John, we're glad the all-new Crown caught your eyes! 👀
The Crown has returned!
👑
it's more like an SUS (sports utility sedan) than a crossover......a segment which is pioneered by few down below back then:
-1999 Subaru Outback sedan (SUS)
-2006 Volvo S60 XC
-1987 AMC Eagle AWD sedan
-2008 Honda Accord Crosstour
Will a leather and woodgrain interior finish be available? That's my first thought when it comes to luxury Toyota/Lexuses of the past.
I want to buy this one..... It will be available in Bangladesh ?
I'm Wondering When Will Be Available In Chicago!?
Can we get a panoramic sunroof instead of the fixed option?
Does it include a heads-up display?
Very excited to see this line up in N.A. Any PHEV model?
Is there an auto closing trunk option?
Hello Toyota, I owned the original Avalon and to this day feel that it was superior to any sedan at the time at it's price. The Crown is such a worthy successor. Thank you.
I really like what Toyota is doing.
cant wait to buy my toyota crown
The most beautiful Toyota crown 👑
Superb design loved it
I am loving this car. Always a fan of Toyota. My grand dad had a 1980 Crown then a Cressida.
Thanks to you (and your granddad!) for the support, Jason. ❤️
Toyota, is this a joke?
How this "Toyota Civic" can wear the proud name of "Toyota Crown"?!?!
Crown is a family of luxury sedans, powered by excellent V8, V6 and I6 engines, suede interior, rear wheel drive, electronic dashboards, TEMS etc.
If your US marketing department has no clue what the real Crown is or has no respect to those who are in the know, make them respect at least your great(yet) history.
Finally, a Toyota Sedan that has AWD! I'm puzzled why the trunk door is manually operated though.
With all full size sedans exiting the market by 2025, its nice to see at least ONE auto maker try to rejoin it with a new approach.
Is this the most advanced Toyota that isn't a century? I feel like this would look good in a stationwagon version
agree
