As a soton fan ive gkt so much time and respect for mark robins and the job hes done at coventry. Coventry remind me a bit of saints in as much as they have a game plan, play good football but lack a plan b and aggresion. All the best in your semi final, i wud love it, love it if u beat man utd!

Definitely a work in progress, after losing two of our best players it was always going to be a challenge this season to be where we are at the minute is a credit to the manager and his team, if we don't make the playoffs this season, we have got a great team spirit to build on, Robins the main man, PUSB

Sounds like Robins wasnt happy at all with tonight and hes absolutely right if we want to be playing PL ball next year we need to absolutely start being consistent for the full 90. Its really hard due to the late season fatigue & lack of deep depth in the squad but we have now made it even harder for ourselves, Birmingham is a absolute must win and as a relegation team they have stuff still to play for AND we have to be at our best vs UTD because if they decide to turn up then its gunna be a long 90 mins. Frustrating because this team is the best team we've had in over a decades and can beat anyone on our A game likes Robins has said in the past . Anyway come on the boys, PUSB through thick and thin. 💙

We’re not ready for the EPL, mate. This team needs to be stronger, with more depth and a more solid foundation to compete and stay in the EPL. We’re a good 7-8 players short.
Unless we want to get promoted and then relegated again, which is the reality. I’d rather us be ready, because the EPL is fast becoming an impossible place to stay for smaller teams with less money to throw at top level talent.

@mechaishida7588 absolutely agree we dont want to do a shef utd. However i will say the money and the step up in quality would be great for the team. The test for me will be the utd game and see how we fair.
Anyway after over 20 years of shit im so glad we are where we are and grateful for the amazing Robins era personally think weve had more fun as fans in this period than 90% of teams. Onwards and upwards 🙌🏽

Priority for the summer is a top-notch keeper. Someone who really bosses the 6-yard box.

totally agree - neither of them keepers are good enough, I'm sorry - to much messing about and stupid errors from the pair of them, even last year coming for balls when should of stayed at home and didn't come when should of, decision making at big points in games awful

With Preston playing Norwich this weekend we're far from mathematical write offs. A win at Brum, beat Man Utd then bring on Hull.....piece a cake guys 🤣👍 Ellis has magic beans.

Well played Southampton. Gave us a lesson in football in the 1st half. That's what we need to aim for. Let's win the next game. PUSB.

I don't like pointing players out, but other than the Leeds game, O'Hare the last few games just looks like a player who doesn't want to be here, the sooner he is out the door the better in my opinion, not sure many people watch the 23s but really like Marco Rus, still could do with a replacement for Callum but I certainly think he could be a type of player that grows into that role.

Midfield exposed in first half. O'hare chasing shadows, Eccles & Sheaf ineffectual. Better in 2nd half. For rest of games start with Casey & Torp, drop Eccles & Ohare to bench. But Southampton probably best passing side in Championship.

Nice to see Jake Bidwell get a goal he gives it his all
When Kasey Palmer came on he looked switched on
Nice sharp passing which we lacked with Calum O hare

Allowing ourselves to get turned by the attackers constantly and losing the ball from poor passes is always a big problem. Definently something that needs to be worked on

The fact we weren’t on our game, coupled with the (again) appalling standard of refereeing and officiating, plus the missed penalty, and I can understand MR’s annoyance.
Every week we seem to have some clown refereeing, who penalises us constantly for 50/50 decisions, and is so quick to call a foul against us on the defence and flash his cards about.
And two partially sighted linesmen don’t help matter either. The handballs, fouls and questionable offsides they miss or judge wrongly are incredible.
