When you learn an alg it helps to also learn the reverse because it makes it way easier to practice the alg. Otherwise you have to either wait for the case to happen, or make up some crap awkward way to get to it lol
You shouldn't need to do back moves 99% of the time. The pros only do them if its part of an algorithm that makes the back move easy to execute, which it rare. You will always have to rotate at some point when using CFOP, but learning f2l algorithms like these can help reduce your number of rotations. The pros rotate no more than say 4 times throughout a solve, mostly about 2 times though
I just had a revelation with the case at 1:20 ... it's basically "F - invert sexy - F' - insert" and this is exactly what I do with the case at 0:30 (only mirrored with left hand instead of right)... so now you have one easy thing to remember that solves a multitude of cases. Play around with it and you'll see what I mean. edit: I should probably add that the key is how you position the pair in U layer. how I do " F - invert sexy - F' - insert" (or lefty version: F' (U' L' U L) F - insert) with the 0:30 case is that I start the F move by pushing it into the slot that I want it to end up in.
For his first case, I do U' (sune) U'R U R'the beauty of it is you can do the first 8 moves from any position without disrupting solved slots. You can then proceed to inserting it.
These algs are pretty nice, but I'm worried about lookahead while doing them, can you still do it? Also, what about edge orientation changing when performing these?
I can see all the cases here the 2 pieces are in the right slot that they must be in, so what will we do if an edge or a corner is in the another wrong slot?
That should be pretty intuitive if you've spent enough time with the cube. Just hide the corner to split up the pair. Then match the pair together and insert into slot. Hope that helps. Look at some beginner CFOP vids. :)
They are intuitive! If you need to ask this, you shouldn't be cubing. Fast cubing is not just about learning other people's algs. If you are not intuitive with spatial knowledge about how the cube works, you will never be fast!
You could mod it all the contact pieces (which is every where) and do a florian mod its what I did, I've been using that cube for like 2 weeks now, even tho I have a zhanchi, shuang ren, aolong. I don't know why but I love the feeling of it really crispy, fast because I sanded it so much that pieces are wobbling.

I would suggest to learn and understand some awkward cases. My F2L isn't that great (sometimes 10 sec) and that is because I screw up some of these cases and lose time. With these algorithms you can understand how they work and implement them intuitively to get a feel for it.
The 3 cycles. A perms and U perms. Also, T perms and Y perms for permuting corners only. But learn them all. Learning the G perms will make you way faster because they're so common. If you're going to procrastinate, leave the N perms and the V perm for last. They're uncommon cases and slow to execute.
To start off, T perm, Y perm, Ua and Ub in my opinion. Whenever you get a PLL u dont know (which will be a lot) put the headlight/triple bar on the left side and use the algorithm for T perm [R U R' U' R' F R2 U' R' U' R U R' F'] and u should then get a PLL case u know. After that, keep learning more plls ;)
TheRandomno yeh those 2 plls are good to learn after the 4 plls i said. wen practising H and Z, whenever you execute M2 moves try using the ring and middle finger to execute it. ;)
+Jazzy Wikberg first the f2l ones id recommend. i learned all 41 f2l cases and got under a minute that way, and am now almost done with the pll ones. there are some good f2l ones, i used the tutorials by daniel santiago here on YT
I need help. I average 1min 30 with cfop 1min 20 with begginers. Im terrible at f2l crappy at cross suck at oll and suck at pll. Im trying to get sub 1min solves. I have been cubing for 2 months. Tips please
I suggest you train your cross to get fast, then learn 7 OLL alghoritms(after top cross), then learn some PLL alghoritms, then practise your F2L really much so you can get that done fast, then learn rest of OLL alghoritms and PLL and then you just need to practise
Leon Keuls thx dude but by the time I checked your comment I already am sub 1 min and have a 30 second average with cfop. My pb is 22 seconds cross in ok f2l decent oll good pll ok I learned most of the pll's all cross oll's and some extra oll's I learned advanced cross and my f2l is alot better now, but thanks for the advice.now I am trying to get a sub 30 average and a sub 20 pb I think I already know look ahead, I need to work on my pll recognition and better cross solution maybe x cross if I become color neutral. Anyway thx for the tips.
I use both this and the alg in the video depending on EO. If the corner is above the slot and there is a misoriented LL edge on the left, I use the alg in the video, otherwise I use your alg. Your alg solves EO if the misoriented edge is on R. However, if there is only one oriented edge and it is on R, this alg will give you a dot OLL, so instead I use U' (R' F R F') U' (R' F R F') for this ZBLS case. --- Regripping is when you have to change your hand position, before or during an alg. Regrips generally they slow you down, so algs with many regrips aren't often used. --- For the case at 3:10, another alg that I like is [y U], if necessary, then R U' M' U R' U' M. Soo good yet so difficult. Tough to do F with thumb without moving middle S Slice!
I can do the F with my thumb without moving the S layer, just try.
now we’ve got magnets 😎
What's that cube and stickers??
How do people go backwards to get back to the case its weird lol
Michael Guest they do it backwards lol
When you learn an alg it helps to also learn the reverse because it makes it way easier to practice the alg.
Otherwise you have to either wait for the case to happen, or make up some crap awkward way to get to it lol

which cube is used?
which cube you have used in this video
Great Video! Even four years later, I couldn't find these algorithms anywhere else!
If only I didn't use triangular francisco, these are nice!
You really use it? Because that's great then. I use it too, but still in learning phase.
Some people say they use TF just to act like cool.
the fuck is triangular francisco

I do all of the 21plls without any b moves
Matthew Kim same here, but 1 of my olls uses B moves
im new to cubing and when i learnt the easy af pll one of the alg for the headlights literally uses b moves so should i use a different alg
I keep on watching this video! To Collins: Your fingertricks and turning is awesome!

did u watch the part on 1:35 ?

ive advanced alot since last week i was around 1:10 im doing 30-40 seconds and im much better at intuitive-ness, but anyways thank you
pyx CSGO you're welcome. Keep working at it! Sorry I couldn't be of more help.

for the edge out corner in you can insert it with beginners method.
Cube?
for 1:41 I have an aternative solution: (U' R U R') (R' F R F') R U' R'. For me it's easier
nevermind...
He shows that same exact alg at 2:04
Wow, they're nice. I'm gonna switch to them except for the last one. Thanks!
very useful algs. I will defintely use some of these during my speed solves

what is the average count of moves to f2l

MOAR F2L ALGS!!!!!!!!
Please answer somebody
Which cube is this?
I searched the cubical store but there were a lot of 3x3 so i didn't know which one to buy
13x13 moyu cube

is it moyu aolong v1 or v2
Can anyone give me a list of all the algorithms in the video along with the positions please?
Thanks guys!!
What cube is this? It's really nice looking! Is it lubed, tightened, or loosened? :)
and thanks for displaying the algorithms. it really helped me
its not natural for me to do F move with my thumb
how r we supposed to even practice these
Do you use all of the algorithms that you showed in the video?
What kind of cube is he using?
for the one at 1:20 i use R,U2,R',F',L',U2,L,F i was messing around with my 3x3 and discovered that
for 3:44 i would do R U R' U2 R U' R2 F R F'
how does he fingertrick those F moves?
what sticker shades are those
full brights from the cubicle
Is it better to do R U' R' U' R U' R' U R U' R' in the first case? It's 2 gen
First Case: R U' R' U' R U' R' U R U R'
what cube is he using
I like the M case. That's pretty useful. Thanks!
wth how do you do that F motion
i know right
HOW DID YOU COME UP WITH THESE ALGS. OMG
How do I get faster at turning
buy a speed cube and some lube
what cube are you using
is there a difference between R2 and R2' ?
***** I think ...
R2 = R R
R2' = R' R'

um when he solved the cube by doin the f2l sequences is that rare?
+PixellockHD he just reversed the alg to make that case and then used the alg to solve it
thx
for that last case I always do R U R' U2' R U' R' U R U' R', but that alg with the M slices is really interesting, i may pick it up!

***** Been trying M slices recently (as in not doing r2 then R2 to move the middle layer with other pieces then back). Bit tricky but fun.
With the case at 01:00, I use (R U R' U') R U' R U2 R U' R' Credit to cyotheking for showing me that.
+Tejas Kalyan Whoops, I meant at 0:34
+Tejas Kalyan ur life doesnt work
Alright guys, lets tone it down 0_0
+dreamland well your life is bananas
... aight?
For the case at 2:31 you can do R U' l U' R' U l'.
For the cas at 3:40, I like to do this: [R U R'] U2 [R U' R'] [U R U' R']
1:30 or U' Sledge U2 insert
