  • Suzanne Schindler, MD, PhD, Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, St. Louis, MO, discusses findings from the BioFINDER group on the use of blood testing in the primary and secondary care settings for Alzheimer's disease (AD). Prof. Schindler mentions that accurate AD diagnosis is currently lacking. This study found that blood testing is very helpful in detecting AD brain pathology, so it can be used to improve the accuracy of AD diagnosis. This interview took place at the Alzheimer’s Association International Conference® (AAIC) 2024 in Philadelphia, PA.
