OMG, those Magpies! We have them in the states in Western places, and Bluejays for us in the Eastern parts. They are very similar and just as funny watching their antics. They have trained me to toss peanuts they deftly intercept and catch like a missile. They will call to me from sitting on the gutters edge, where I pop out of the window with them just feet away and play catch. Also feed a pair of mated Crows and they are so wonderful. Once they trust you they will visit just to shoot the breeze, sitting patiently, with me telling them how handsome, pretty and smart they are. When I take a walk they will fly over upon seeing me and land in a tall tree awaiting the peanuts I always carry. There is no doubt they are self aware, hyper-intelligent, emotional and loving. There are many reasons why Indigenous people chose the crow (and Raven) to be symbols of themselves and their principals - Wisdom, courage... May you be as wise as a Raven and as patient as a Crow.

I'm no Raven scholar, but I'd say that Arthur fellow has been in the gym. He looks in great shape.
