Like all machines smaller then AVN1200 (OD1505), the AVN600 machine does not provide a face access. These machines are too small to provide a face access which is compliant with the regulations. Anyhow with the right choice of the cutting wheel and the associated cutter tools usually the machine is able to build the tunnel w/o replacement of the cutter tools in accordance to the geology and tunnel length.
