For 11 years I have been trying to come up with the perfect comment for this video and I just keep coming back to my original thought, which is -WOW!!!
They sure do Joey. That man was suffering from Alzheimer’s and still pulled it off. Wow I wish I had been there I would have given him a big hug and told him what a legend he was, and still is RIP Glen 🕊🕊🕊
Such Of beautiful song! You don’t get to find this kind of singers with such Of beautiful music anymore!!! God bless him and his family and all his fans!
From child to an adult I've always loved Campbell's voice and songs. His music reminds me of summer days growing up in the 60s and 70s. Times lost but never forgotten. Times when life was less complicated and demanding.
I loved this song from the first time I heard it in the theatre during *True Grit* in 1969. I would discover Glen's remarkable talent later. He was a guitar virtuoso, who played with the Beach Boys, the Monkees, Elvis, and Sinatra, among many others. Some of his best recordings were made in collaboration with Jimmy Webb, with whom he recorded such hits as "Galveston," "By The Time I Get To Phoenix," and "Wichita Lineman." His final album, recorded while he was in the grip of Alzheimer's, is masterful, and was a fine elegy to a remarkable career.
You are very welcome. I had the pleasure of seeing Glen 3 times on his Goodbye Tour, once in Branson, MO, then in Kansas City, MO and then in Springfield, MO. He was at his best in Kansas City and unfortunately the security was not allowing ANY picture or video taking. Glen performed with lots of energy and almost flawless. Too bad I couldn't get the video from that concert. Thanks again for your comment. I have been a fan of Glen's since 1969 when I first heard Galveston. What a talent!
Even though it was his farewell tour, Glen still managed to knock out a great performance. What a great great shame and a great loss to music that he had to be taken ill.
first time I ever heard this song, a few minutes ago, didn't even know who Glen Campbell was, but I immediately knew this had to be a great hit, or at least, .. from this moment on will be one of my ALL TIME FAVORITES!!
After listening to Glen Campbell there isn't much to say about him other then WOW what a talent that we have lost but who has left us with many great songs and memories. ❤👍👍
I enjoyed the old crooner still showing his chops, with wear, but the earned wear of age, artistry, and real craft--even hitting some high notes in the clear. I never knew that he could pick guitar like that. I always thought, seeing him more on TV, that he just strummed a rhythm for show. But he could bring it on the guitar too. What an American classic he is!
+Van Piercy Love Glen Campbell. He is a great guitarist. He was one of the hottest session players in Nashville at one time. There are some RUclips videos showing his skill, duets with Jerry Reed, etc.
SO SAD WHAT THIS DISEASE HAS DONE TO A WONDERFUL MAN AND HIS BEAUTIFUL MUSIC. R.I.P. GLEN. SOMEDAY I HOPE TO HEAR YOUR MUSIC AGAIN WHEN I AM HOPEFULLY ON THE OTHER SIDE.
Ain't that the truth?! Glen is the ONLY person who's album i have listened to all the way through, simply because every track is a classic.. I never even did that with The Beatles! But what a wonderful guy. I feel privileged to have been around all the way through his career.Hard to understand why Glen didn't step in and allow people to use their cameras and video recorders. I am sure he would have the pull to do that. Thanks again my friend..
Thank you.. thank you.. thank you.. I have just now started to really checking out these classic artists. I'm a musician singer songwriter and Glen C was a TRUE musician and a really good guy.
Great song, and he must have done something right because he's got a great loving family! I grew up with his songs and always took them for granted, what a mistake huh?
Alzheimer's, what a cruel disease! I'm glad it did not affect most of his musical skills, abilities, and memories for the longest time. Kudos to his family for supporting him being out there. Also, kudos to TJ Kuenster, Glen's music director (keyboards) who stayed with him!
Glen Campbell was talented and played back-up for many famous bands too...glad he made True Grit, and got to act with John Wayne, must have been a HOOT for him!!
Douglas Thompson I have loved his songs since I was in High School in the 60’s I think they could have put better clothing on him instead of a cheap T Shirt! Who was in charge of his clothing! In the movie it showed his loving devoted wife helping him shower and putting makeup on him and some shows had beautiful cowboy shirts!!
My wife and I had the great pleasure of seeing Glen in London at the BBC, the man was extraordinary.
Even with dealing with Alzheimer’s Glen could still sing & play guitar!,

As I listened to Glen sing this song I am driving in a valley in Colorado surrounded by mountains and peace. Thank you Glen.

RIP Glen Campbell. You are now with the Duke John Wayne.
Kim Darby is the only one left of that great cast. Wonder how she's dealing with the news of Glens passing.

Beautiful Film Job!! Did you film the whole concert?
Alles was vor seiner Alzheimer Erkrankung war hat er in seinem Geist gehabt und niemals vergessen
Glen has serious health issues here but still plays lead guitar better than guys in the full of their health.
The blonde looks like Tanya tucker.
Glen was a real musician who could really play. Elvis was not much of a guitar player. Roy Clark was also a great guitar player and a real musician.
