Looks like an awesome day out. Watching from Japan where Gravel routes are few and far between and mostly along the top of mountain ranges. Such a contrast to what I see in your fantastic video. I have a Gen 3 Domane SLR 7 and only recently went fat with the rubber. 40 front 37 rear. Next will be 11-40 cassette. Really enjoy your excellent vlogs.

Amazing video mate. I'm currently riding a 2023 TREK Supercaliber 9.8 XT and have done up to 45 miles combines between gravel, trails and pavement with it but I'm considering getting a Domane SL7 Gen 4 for those long rides days. I love my Supercaliber but I also love long rides and that's way I'm considering getting a Domane as well. I also have a TREK Procaliber 9.6 which is now the bike I have on my TACX NEO 2T and Zwift combo :)

Nice, you’re selling me on the Domane as I do want a bike that does both well. Question, what was that mini lock you used when you stopped for a bite?

All those non-road roads look great. You're fortunate to live near diverse terrain like that. (Q: why do you tilt your computer away from yourself??)

Yes super lucky. Computer. Because of light glare.

Another awesome video @benjaminlechappers. Looks like a brilliant route. Good to hear your review of the Domane on gravel. I just bought the Domane SL 5 and was hoping it would be good on gravel as well as the road. Tried the Checkpoint but didn’t like the geometry so went for the Domane instead. When summer rolls around down here in New Zealand I’ll have to give it a try on gravel.
      Thanks again!

Hey Ben I love your videos and your attitude towards biking. Its so engaging. I got a midrange gravel bike but i am constantly thinking about the domane bike. Since i am more on the road than on gravel, but do like it, would you say the domane is the perfect bike for such endevours? If so, which version would you prefer from a price/performance standpoint? Thanks!

      Glad you like them!
I’ve just put a out a video regarding the Road performance. I don’t think there’s many other bikes that could perform as well on both.

@@benjaminlechappers would you also say the same about the 2019 version with isospeed back & front? the bike gets way over 10kg. would you say its still agile and also good on climbs?
