Hi Lee top vid I watched 1 of your mulching vid ages back and thought best get 1 of those. Did 80sqm of 5ft high brambles down to the ground in 3 hour the customer said I was expecting a team of gardeners to tackle that lot🤣😂🤣😂 no just me and my oregon 💪💪💪
Also have you seen the KAVLI blades from Australia 🇦🇺 same idea as OREGON MULCHING BLADE but for your mower have a look on here for the vid. I've ordered the BEAST and the FINISHA blade. With how you always finish your jobs mulching it will fit like a glove on that little Honda and save time and 💰💰💰💰
Great video but could you tell me if the mulching blade needs sharpening before use please and keep the videos coming thanks I didn't even like gardening before watching your videos.
You want the blade to be blunt so as it bounces off the branch of tree when hit. If it sharpened and that branch of wood you try to mulch is too thick, it will get stuck@@LHLgardenservices
I bought the two bladed version of Oregon mulcher blade a few months back, and only got the chance to try it out a few days ago, using a Stihl FS91 four stroke trimmer. Wow! What a great tool for the thick brush! Before using it, I used the stock three bladed Stihl blade, and while it cut brush and smallest saplings fairly well, it left debris that then got in the way of advancing the blade into another swath. I also use a Renegade circular saw type blade for trees and heavier brush, and it, too, has its place. But the Oregon blade is my go to in the thick vine type brush, with occasional sapling. It has the rotating mass to swing through the thick.
I was amazed! Made bits of the brairs. But the blade would stall when I was cutting very heavy rushes. Do you think that was because I only have a 27cc brush cutter? Would getting a stronger motor help do you reckon?
Been running 2- and 3-lobe versions of this blade for a while, finding both a bit "buzzy" up front. Quick static balancing, and they spin smooth as silk, saving wear & tear on arbor bearings and my paws. FWIW, both work fine in thick debris on 25 cc Husqy or 26 cc Tanaka machines. Of course both have solid drive shafts.
Hi lee great 👍 job you did of that garden 🪴 great 👍 way of keeping all them leaves and small twigs a little dryer in may garden today bye the way we had the chase on and yes 👍 thy lost again ❤️🇬🇧👍David
Hi there I’be just ordered the Terratek cordless strummer. Is it possible for you to do a video on how to attach the mulching blade to this or if it’s even possible please an if so will the STHIL blade adapter kit work/fit or is there another one I need to buy?
Those blades are brilliant. I have a Honda versatool and 2 strimmer attachments, one with line and the other with the oregon blade. Last year a clipped a hedgehog with it, took a few spines off but no blood. It just walked off, saw it a week later and it seemed OK. Great video again Lee.
hi lee if don’t mind me asking what engine size in cc is your strimmer , with the blade , my titan screwfix 27cc the blade vibrates and does get up to speed , lol think its undo powered not sure what engine cc I need if 44 cc or 53 cc spec many thanks take care .
Alternating leaf dump spots each year will stop it getting out of hand,Also if the mulch is not being used just spread it out around April come August it's mostly gone . And suggest they pay you to build a fire pit that they can enjoy and burn all the free fuel IE branches that will keep comming. I dont like using blades unless I have to I find them to slow going. Pole trimmer with old head and some 3.3 vortex line would probably have been my weapons of choice for this job. Nice work though.
Great job again Lee, I don’t know if you’ve mentioned before but what is the camera stick you use and how it tracks you, sorry to ask a non gardening question best wishes for Christmas
@@LHLgardenservices I was about to ask the same question when I saw this comment. There are times when your hands are full, not holding a selfie stick, yet the camera still seems to track you. Does it have some kind of auto-tracking feature?
Are using them on lightweight grass strimmer? Just asking as there meant for over a certain size engine on a heavy duty brushcutter. Just asking as i damaged my husqvarna 525 multitool with the strimmer attachment fiited using this blade a couple of years back,, fitted it to the heavyduty stihl 410R and a lot of heavy use since and no damage....so far. Damaged 2 blades though
They need 40cc + engine ideally to cope with the torque needed to push it. Under 35cc will cause problems in the head. You need pro spec machine with the beefy gearing to drive a heavy blade through woody brush.
Though my Husky 535LK pro combi is very powerful, the three blade does vibrate a bit, I may just invest in a 555RXT, just because I want one really but great excuse! 😆
Good to know your name - Lee - please correct me if the spelling is wrong - wouldn't offend you for the world. I am really taken with your policy to turn debris into mulch and then the basis for compost. Like it. Sorry you omitted the bit when you had your butties and had a ride on that slide beside the shed. Another brilliant result, bro'. Paul in the Midlands (one-time in the 'Pool)
