On the strength of these videos I bought one of these Oregon Blades expecting it to not be particularly good, but for a tenner what the heck. I tried tackling my 10 year overgrown bramble infested back garden a couple of years ago with a tri blade but gave up after about an hour having made little progress. Pairing this Oregon blade with my 52cc generic strimmer I blitzed the whole garden back to flat in just over three and a half hours (including tea break). Considering I was thinking about spending a grand on a power scythe this is arguably the best ten quid I've spent in recent years. Thanks for the heads up my friend be well and be happy.

Thank you for the review, I was wondering what the tool is . Glad you decided to wear face protection, with so much debris being uncovered. What a big plot! If i win the lottery today, I will buy my friend's house and get you down to Suffolk to manage her "garden".

Thanks, LHL, for the video. Got one!
You've cheered me up no end and 70+ old timers need a bit of cheer after a year of lock-down blues and a wet 2020 Summer-Winter. As a result of that, my lower garden has gone to wrack and ruin and needs some 'serious surgery'.
I've just bought a 52cc 5 in 1 Multi Tool which looks the business and has very good reviews - even though it was the cheapest on the market bar the Aldi online version. Almost all the m/cs are made in China anyway except for the exorbitantly expensive Stihl and differ only in detail.
I also felt inspired to buy the Oregon Mulching Blade at the same time!
I'm chuffed and can't wait for the rain to stop here in the Midlands so that I can give the brambles, etc the battering they have been asking for.
I've also got a low mountain of dried-out dead bramble which I was going to burn or skip - now I'm going to mulch it! All good stuff back to the soil.
Your demo has given an old chap the encouragement he needed.
    Many, many thanks again.
Thanks also for demonstrating the proper safety gear - just watched Joe Mills on RUclips using the extension bar and the chainsaw attachment ON A LADDER with no protection and no end guard on his m/c - that IS unbelievable!
    Wish me luck, North-Western bro'.
Every good wish to you and yours across the Mersey - from Paul in the Midlands and his Scouse wife

I have watched several of your yard clean up videos. You tackle some of the most gawd awful messes! I don't know how folks let their lawns get so overgrown. Maybe illness, old age or lack of equipment or money is the cause. Lucky for you whatever the reason, it keeps you in business and you do a good job taking on some daunting projects. Thanks for filming your work.

Serious blades. Mulching my way through 6ft high gorse with the 3 prong blade on my 52cc heavy brushcutter. Using my lighter 25cc cutter with the 2 prong blade on the smaller stuff, it's cutting it up nicely for me. Much less clippings. Even mulched up a pile I created earlier from the ordinary blade. Highly recommended, though make sure you use all the ppe

I bought the two bladed version of Oregon mulcher blade a few months back, and only got the chance to try it out a few days ago, using a Stihl FS91 four stroke trimmer. Wow! What a great tool for the thick brush! Before using it, I used the stock three bladed Stihl blade, and while it cut brush and smallest saplings fairly well, it left debris that then got in the way of advancing the blade into another swath. I also use a Renegade circular saw type blade for trees and heavier brush, and it, too, has its place. But the Oregon blade is my go to in the thick vine type brush, with occasional sapling. It has the rotating mass to swing through the thick.

Had one of these delivered last week. After a quick sharpening, ran it for a few hours on my 27 cc Tanaka brushcutter, which outputs way more power than blade needs. Cut well & controllably, unlike nylon line. I noticed a few rpm ranges where it had the "shakes," likely due to machine resonances AND IMBALANCE. Afterward, I gave it a better sharpening, and put the blade on my Intermec balancer. WOW! Balance was way off. Got it much better, without getting anal. Now it runs silky smooth. For the price, for all that iron, no complaints. Too bad, no more Tanakas- great machine, great fuel endurance. Among the very best, IMO. Recently rcvd 3-lobe Oregon blade was also way off on balance. Strangely, after file-sharpening, balance was dead-on.

Unfortunately, there were a few large stones in there and one of them came up and smashed the French door window. However, this is the first one we have broken in 10 years and I guess that’s why we have public liability insurance. It was a void housing association property, so no repercussions as things happen.
