    cracking job mate, just shows what separates the real pros, I am terrified of borders like this, worried in case I destroy something. I guess by the time I am 90 I will know what I am doing. When mulching on a lawn do you find the lawn goes brown from the mulch? I am always worried about ruining a lawn. defo not a proper lawn. Had a garden with little channels, and a retentively new garden ha them, the lady told me its so they can get the edging sheers down them. good Idea, but a pain.

    • @LHLgardenservices
      @LHLgardenservices  5 лет назад +3

      cheers mate...no the lawn doesn't go brown that just the shreddings on it as you see I blow them thoroughly off. Those channels are a pain in the arse ...they are an old fashioned idea and yes they were for the use of edging shears but as "most" gardeners now use a strimmer they are neither use nor ornament ....just weed channels 🤬....also even if you did choose to use shears they dont need to be THAT WIDE 🤬🤬......👍

    Awesome job of course! Now I know how to clean out the dead grass from the decorative grass. Now a question. I have what I think is Liarope, that is about 30 years old. They are still blooming, but the flowers are hidden by the leaves. Can I cut it back into a ball shape? One is so heavy, is starting is lay flat, sort of. Anyway, I don't want to do anything that would damage them. But they are also growing out if the garden and onto the sidewalk. I would appreciate any advice you can give me. Thanks!!! 🌹

    I am not a big fan of your "mulching" concept. First your remove all the weeds from the flower bed.
    Then you rough up the dirt in-between the shrubs and plants. Then you blow the "mulched" weeds along with all their seeds
    back in the flower bed.
    I think this is asking for troubles! A simple mower with a catch bag would be much better.
    But all criticism aside, I still love to watch your videos and your work!
