Il Han, who often vacates a studio because of his overtime work, seeks a half-day tenant for the studio.
Jun, a high school dropout, comes to Seoul for his dream of becoming a musician and becomes Il-han's half-day roommate.
[Directing intent]
Whether to pursue a dream or compromise reality.
I wanted to talk about the two characters at the beginning and end of my youth in one space.

This was great and I believe that he let him stay with him in the end. I would love to see this storyline continue.
비싼 집값에 저좁은 원룸에서 룸메이트로 살아갈 수 밖에 없고 비싼 편의점 도시락이
사치일 수 밖에 없는 현실에 놓인 청년들의 삶이 안타깝고 공감가내요.... 독립영화 많이 안봤지만 깊은 울림을 주는 영화였습니다 :)

This was a very subtle film, which keeps you riveted to the screen. Then ending provided no real solution, but only hinted at the possibility that the two might find a way to coexist. I feel that if I only knew more about Korean culture, I could have picked up more of the full meaning. I do agree with the comments below, that I would love to see how this situation plays out. It would be good to have a satisfying resolution for an ending.

음악이라는 꿈이 있는 준이가 부러우면서도
생계를 위해 요리라는 꿈을 포기하고 직장을 다니는 일한이 나의 미래일 것 같아 씁쓸하다..
준이와 일한의 여리고 따듯한 마음이 씁쓸함에 대한 위로가 되면서,
게이인 나로서는 두 사람 간의 애정으로 느껴지기도 한다.
오랜만에 좋은 독립영화 한 편 봐서 뭉클한 여운과 내 삶에 대한 번민을 느꼈다..
Nice job. I was absorbed throughout and thrilled to see the apartment's first dweller open himself to the possibility of a human relationship, and maybe more than that down the line. The writing, acting, story-telling all so understated and quiet. I love that in a short film, even if I often have to watch twice to figure out what I missed the first time. I felt so badly for the musician near the end; his remorse and sadness at leaving was palpable even though he barely made a sound in leaving.
와... 지루할수있는 구성인데 진짜 몰입해서 봤네... 이 찝찝하게 남는 여운이 독립영화의 매력이쥬?
진짜.. 이 정도 내용인데도 이렇게 몰입하게 만들기도 쉽지 않은데, 연기를 포함해서 전체적인 연출의 조율이 상당히 흡입감이 있게 만들었네요.

A short film packed with emotions told in very subtle way. Beautifully written, directed and acted.
I remember coming across this film some time ago. I watched it today because I had a dim memory of it but no idea how it ended. I think I must have found the ambiguity of their relationship confusing first time around. This time I thought it was beautifully thought out and executed on all fronts.

"I just want 2 live a simple life", detailed this short 🎥. It was innocently warming 2 the 💙 2 watch and the ending, left an hidden message, forgiveness. Powerful!

This is a beautiful piece of work- the actors made me feel both anxious and safe at the same time- I would love to see another!
For a short film he was really good. I cried when both sat at the table because the sad look from both spoke volumes. I think you need each other one to throw up and the other to life 🤗🤔

my simple theory- the older guy wanted to be a chef but could not full fill that due to financial problem therefore he wasnlowkey happy to see that the younger guy is running after his dreams and that motivated him and he again started cooking.

We suspected that, that living could have become volatile yet the respectful concerns ,realize how difficult dependant on self, may not surfice. We all should act accordingly appropriately. Most enjoyable for this viewing.

Wonderful. The economy of expression made it very like poetry. I read the intent and I see that in it. For me this was about how we come to accept others into our lives and to allow ourselves to be changed by them. Both consciously and unconsciously. A beautifully human and compassionate film.

Wow. Read your summary after watching. With your explanation the film is even more powerful. The actors did an incredible job of portraying ambition expectation and reality. Found it to be pretty dark but then again, very powerful. Wow.

Me encantó, poco diálogo pero mucho sentimiento.
I like that it’s open ended. Life is an ongoing journey after all. On the surface it seems so simple but the characters are complex both in their internal worlds from which we catch only hints and the external life they live littered with choices. There is also a tension always present as a result. Excellent. I hope to see more creative works from you.

2. What was the back story between the Hyung (i forgot his name T__T ) and that knife?

Loved d acting and d actors..but can someone tell me exactly what d story is...
Lee Beom-ki .. this is an interesting short movie but really based on the acting qualities which I find to be superb even if understated. (Only criticism is the cop would have been more impactful if appearing in uniform.)
The story line however .. is too much of an open end. Both characters appear to lead very challenging lives, with grit and determination. But you leave it there hanging .. the only item resolved is the two might live together again. Then what .. ? Is their life going to improve ? Or more of the same sad routine .. ?

What can 'Il-han' do for 'Jun' in real life? There won't be many options.
Talk about Having a meal together scene.
One might think it's a reconciliation, and one might think it's a farewell. But no one would disagree that it is a small encouragement.
