Me and my boyfriend got separated when he got sick. His family took him and cut off all our communication. Only later I knew he passed away, I could'nt see him and touch him for the very last time. It hurt so bad. Watching this movie brings back the memory, it is the foruth year he passed away and i still miss him sometimes.

This was sad, but so beautifully done..it showed their lives together thru the years and all 22 birthdays they spent together ,loving each other and never telling the other how they feel and to get all that sentimentality and warmth in 20mins was amazing..it was PERFECT 👍👍😁✌well done.
This is a sweet and caring movie, but with a heart breaking ending. This could've been such a happy wonderful series when boy finally realizes that the love of his life was right in front of him the whole time. Beautiful song too.
Although it was sad and short. This was well put together. Its hard to do short films and feel that you've really connected with the story and characters all the way. But this one did it for me. The chemistry was great and i felt like i could feel the entire story and relationship, not only in the scenes, but in between the scenes as the years progressed... Their performance was great! This is definitely the best short MV that I have watched so far. And, I've watched a lot. Great Job!

This is one of the saddest short film I've ever watch in my entire life. 😭😭😭. It's been a while since I cried from watching a film This short film brings out realy strong emotions from all of us, once you fully understands their emotions, their feelings and life situation, you can't help but have an emotional connection towards the characters, the next thing you'll know are your tears starts falling. We all wanted to be happy, we all wanted to be loved, but sometimes we can't have those because of unforseen circunstances. But when we have someone loving us dearly and we felt happiness at last, we wish that it will be forever. How many of us wished that we can turn back time. 😭 How many of us felt regret that we wish we've done those things instead. Life is too short for all of us human beings, but it is also the greatest gift of all, for we can experience everything life has to offer, we just have to make the most out of it while we still can. This BL short film taught us many things. 🙏❤️ And I'm grateful to have learned them.

I live in hope that at some point in my lifetime (I have just turned 60) there will be chinese gay films that have satisfying endings. So many, like this, are well made, acted etc but always with the same common factor. The two men can never be together. Quite why it's such a difficult issue for the censors is anyone's guess. Given how many strides Chinese society has taken forward in so many areas, it is really astonishing that the idea of love between two people of the same sex is really such a challenging idea.

Yes, you are right. It seems they have gotten to a place where they only acknowledge our existence. But the writers never allow a gay couple to be happy. Truthfully, to me, it is a very thinly-ailed homophobia, in these countries. Who knows, maybe their codes for movies and TV don’t allow a gay couple to end up happy. You and I know if the storyline was about a man and woman, it would end up differently. And it is obvious they don't care what the people who watch the short films think.
It took me 7 years of darkness and depression, but finally I'm so much better. My fiance died suddenly and I've never felt such pain in my life. Like you said, "My world just stopped when he died." Please if you can get support and try to talk about your feelings as much as possible, just like you did here. I wish you well and peace of mind.
