    Tahj Boyd help put Clemson back on the map as a football powerhouse and set the stage for Deshaun Watson. Deshaun solidified their position leading them to National chips but Tahj laid that foundation. Check out his Orange Bowl duel against Braxton Miller and Ohio state in 2014 and his Chik fil A bowl game against LSU in 2012...he was a beast.

      @ekibirigeable 4 года назад +2

      @AI Martins He says very different QB from Mike Vick. I think he's a much better passer than Vick was in college. Vick definitely a faster runner. Tajh was an excellent passer. He STILL holds the ACC record for passing TDs (107), ahead of Phillip Rivers (95), Deshaun Watson (90), Chris Weinke, and Russell Wilson.

    • @ekibirigeable
      @ekibirigeable 4 года назад +2

Went to Ark state after that was caught in possession of a firearm and marijuana, once that happened Ark state dismissed him. Went to Arkansas Baptist then transferred to Louisville played a few games there but was found out to ineligible so he quit his college career.

    He messed up returning for his senior year. He went from guaranteed 1st to 2nd round pick(had he come out as a junior)to dropping to the 6th round (his senior year). Remember his junior year he shredded LSU’s defense, and there weren’t that many top qb’s coming out...to having a quarterback convention his senior year coming out.

    I can understand people getting upset because of major losses to South Carolina and FSU in 2013, but you're talking about the two best teams either of these schools had in a very long time.
    FSU in 2013 will go down as one of the most dominant teams of all time. They were #2 in scoring offense (51.6 ppg) and #1 in scoring defense (12.1 ppg). They were #6 in total offense (519 ypg), #1 in yards per play offense (7.67 ypp), #2 in total defense (253.8) and #1 in yards per play defense (3.85 ypp). Their margin of victory was 0.5 away from being 40 freaking points!!!
    South Carolina was and is a historical below average to average football team. Before Spurrier got there they had one 10+ win season. Spurrier had 3 straight 11+ win seasons, in what should be considered their golden age. For some reason that 2013 team lost to two average teams on the road, but beat every ranked team.

    The thing that I enjoy the most about this channel is how you always focus on positive life lessons in these videos. I enjoyed watching Tajh Boyd in his Clemson years and felt he got a hypercritical evaluation. I've seen other quarterbacks from storied programs get hyped up and gifted multiple chances, while having the same concerns people voiced about Tajh [Tebow, Manziel, Jimmy Clausen, Danny Wuerffel to name a few...]. I'm happy he's been welcomed back as an alumn at his alma mater and is able to be around the sport, and program he loved.

      Your point is stupid. Just because a player is successful in a system doesn't mean he CAN'T be successful outside of it. Boyd clearly wasn't talented enough to succeed outside of the system, while Watson looks like he can be. He hasn't even played a full season yet though, so still have to wait and see. But ya, some players can adapt and learn, and some can't. That's one of the big factors in translating to the NFL from college.

      to be fair Boyd was a 10-4 Quarterback his last 2 years at Clemson on stacked teams. Watson was a 14-1 type QB. this video makes mention of the fake that Clemson had national title hopes his last year. Watson actually took his teams to national title games, Watson was the Heisman Trophy finalist too. I am a fan of Boyd but to compare the two just because they went to the same college is kind of ridiculous. Watson had some good talent around him too but his teams weren't as stacked at the skill positions. I remember watching Boyds last game against Ohio State. Clemson killed Ohio State on WR screen passes. at least half of Boyds yards IF NOT MORE came on -2 yard screen passes that Watkins would break for 10-30 yards. Over and Over again all night. I mean we are talking night and day comparing the passes Boyd threw against Ohio State compared to what Watson delivered against Alabama two straight years. The Ohio State team he beat was pretty good but Braxton Miller was playing hurt in the 4th quarter. Clemsons defense was teeing off on him. I remember thinking Meyer should have put Boyton the backup in because Miller was clearly banged up.

    He started Clemson on their current streak & helped Dabo bring in some of the best collegiate QBs to ever spin it .. huge Nole fan here .. I was at the '99 "Bowden bowl" & can tell you that not many places get louder than Death Valley on Saturday night .. & that's real talk .. that thumping the Noles gave the Tiger's in '13 was epic though.. I still don't understand how Clemson gets so many elite athletes to come there .. it's in BFE South Carolina & though the campus is gorgeous there's literally nothing else there ..GO NOLES!!!!

Its a shame you have to preface your honest investigative journalism with reminders that you're just doing your job and dont have an ax to grind (today's world huh). Excellent video - keep 'em coming.
