I totally agree. When I'm trying to watch tech vids I don't need some assclown spending the first 5 minutes of 'what's up guys' and 'be sure to click the like and subscribe'. i want the data. Not the bullshit. I dont subscribe much but I'm damn sure subscribed here now.
1:50 if your IPD doesn't fit one of the three settings it is possible to get the lenses between two of the settings, I've been using mine between 2 and 3 for the best clarity and I haven't noticed any issues so far
If your IPD is larger than the maximum setting, you can shove something between the lenses to push them apart further (e.g. a small rectangle of cardboard). I was having severe issues god rays, blurriness and-out of-focus-ness until I did this, which pretty much eliminated them. The Quest 2 is able to differentiate between IPDs outside of the 1/2/3 options because of good hardware/software design, so it compensates for these other configurations without issues.
@@NicheAsQuiche I am having same issue which was hard for me to describe. Not necessarily blurry as I can still read all the words but yeah almost like a glare.. or yes god rays haha. You stuck it between 2 and 3? Did you use that cardboard trick
@@tylerrcasement I pushed them apart so they were further apart than setting 3, by putting a piece of cardboard between the middle of them, that might help you. Just be sure to be gentle
with the battery a cool way i learned to expand it without the added weight on your head you can put a bigger powerbank in a hoodie, pocket or waistband and can go mostly unnoticed. just dont forget it and you'll drag it down a flight of stairs by accident. (learned that the hard way)

I’ve had my quest 2 since September and really just started playing. I have a few games but for now Death Horizon is my fav. I can’t wait to try to hand tracking option for this game. I think it’s gonna help alooooot.
the casting feature is a great option i had no idea i could do! last night my wife was using the VR and we had to keep swapping it so i can show her how to navigate and it was less than optimal

I love super hot, download the demo to give you a taste - I don’t think you can go wrong with any of those you’ve mentioned. What put me off of population one is that you can’t play it free play so you have to join a team - but depends what you want. I prefer free for all games where I can do what I want.
Pistol whip is awesome its a must have. Walkabout mini golf is cool playing multiplayer . Table tennis is soooo close to the real thing its crazy, so much fun and a workout aswell . If you like music get beatsaber this game is also a workout

If you are getting the cheaper option you should probably go the extra bit and get the model with more storage as 64gb can fill up really fast if you are a hardcore vr gamer

I'm getting my very first VR headset the Oculus Quest 2 and these tips were very helpful. Definetly cleaning those lenses with a microfiber towel and getting a better headstrap because I heard the standard strap is terrible I don't want headaches
I haven’t had a problem with the head strap but probably depends on how long you use it - I’d love to try out an alternative head strap to see if it’s any better

The only way I can think is to look up and then press and hold the oculus button so the menu appears above you. At least you can then look around at eye level with no menu in the way.
Can't figure how to do this, or what 'hands free strap' means, or how a 'hands free strap' would be beneficial. The strap just is security to keep the controller from falling. How would you even tie it to the ring? Mine doesn't seem long enough.
