When i was a kid, i remember seeing this game in a laundromat. I dont know if this is a mandela effect or something but i really remember seeing the arcade cabinet calling it "running man" for the longest time i kept looking for it under the name "running man". It was bugging me so much because i liked seeing this game and wanted to know what it was. Till now i finally found it and its called something totally different.
One problem... this isn't a longplay. This game has an ending, and you didn't make it. I get the game is hard, but how many hard games did you beat on a single credit?
I remember seeing this game in my local ShopRite when I was a kid. Sadly, I didn't have any quarters to play it, so I had to watch the demo until my mom finished paying for all the groceries.
Can't tell you how much I use to just sir and watch the demo on games and when someone would play i would just watch but if im lucky enough they would give me a quarter to play
Does anyone know how the game decides where the cans will go after they're kicked? Is it decided by the player through the angle of contact and speed, or is it RNG?
@@saj8 😂 lol yep because woke is a a new white supremacy. They transferred the MLB game here out of Atlanta and moved it to Denver when Atlanta has a bigger black population 😂
I found this because of the love of WTF games circa 79-86. I mean, WTF? EDIT: watched the attract screen 12 dozen times alongside roadblasters while stuck in a swimming pool no money no trunks once. Smelling cafe coffee chips n tomato sauce I couldn't buy for 3 hours so thumbs up metro cross I guess. Was kind of sick of the sight of it tho.
I remember the crowd gathered round me when I finished the final level. It has to be done perfectly. Every hurdle, every skateboard, every can, every green bit
Damn I hate this game! Sure it was appealing and fun, also with a good catchy bgm... for the first 5 minutes!!! Then everyone at the arcade started to fall and lose and that starting jingle was like a loop!!!!!! It could be one of my good arcade memories, if only was a bit easier for (at least) the first 10 stages -_-) -BETMARK-

I use to play this game all the time when I was a kid but the title was in a foreign language.
Strangely enough I also played it at a laundromat.
prolly just one of those knockoff reskins
that music is awesome

Why does the music sound like a combination of the fairly odd parents theme and the inspector gadget theme
Ray Charles - Hit the road, Jack
The song personally gives me Aladdin vibes.

Switch Arcade archives release just came out. Nice music I admit.
This game stuck in my head because the music sounds a lot like the theme to Inspector Gadget.
I’m guessing this runs on the same audio hardware as Mappy? Music sounds very similar, especially the instruments that they used.
Must admit, when I searched what Metro Cross was, this was not what I had in mind.
Remember the Amstrad version of this one well!
I love that name entry music! It even sounds like the game should’ve been ported onto a Jakks Plug N Play TV Game due to what I stated.
Metro Cross......where the main enemy is,of course,time.
The bravest game and golden in general.
Back on the day I was able to make it until stage 6 or 7 with one coin.
Loved the music!
Remember when they reskin this game to pepsi man?

"READY YOURSELF PLAYER ONE"
They just gotta appreciate their Engrish.
You better ready yourself!
How come round 1 and 2 got repeated before moving onto round 3?
Why did it go back to Round 1 after finishing Round 2? 🤔
This is definitely not what I expected

The name entry fanfare sounds like the 2nd-6th place name entry theme for Pole Position
Pac Mans Taunt SSB4
Is that Pepsiman? (You dodge giant cans of coke after all!)
FORESHADOWING 2021!!
Like Paris on those moments. :)
this sounds like mappy
It uses the same sound board, so it's not much of a surprise that they reuse the instruments.
Same composer, actually.
Now...if MGM can get the rights to do a TV adaptation of this sport...btw, who's gonna host it?
It's hard to believe that brutalmoose used some of this game's music for a while.
IceHighwind In his old Lightning Round videos.
How many levels are there
There are 32 levels to complete the game
Every Running For Can
Watch out! The timer will runs out! You will get zapped by the lighting! (From round 15)
TO START PUSH
ONLY ONE PLAYER'S BUTTON
READY YOURSELF PLAYER ONE
Remember will not time runs out in round 16. Otherwise, time will runs out, if you get zapped by lighting.
Good ending, good ending, it has a good ending.
anyone here because of sakura-sou?
Yep
Same
I've completed all the episodes...
The game has 32 levels, this is not a completed longplay, only about halfway.
the round 3 finish is hilarious
Indeed, it felt like something from Looney Toons lol.
FORESHADOWING 2021!! GET WOKE GO BROKE!!!
Translation: I'm not allowed to get away with my racism anymore without losing my endorsements. That's what that statement really boils down to.

it's not for the snes, dummy.
He's naked, right?
No, it's an orange track suit.
It's Pepsiman.
I remember the crowd gathered round me when I finished the final level.

Why is he naked
He isn't
@@eins2001 Yes, that's a jumpsuit he's got on.

XD LoL
But really, the bgm is catchy.
BETMARKonTube I know, perhaps if they had a few random variants it would make it a little more challenging as the game goes on.
I won! I'm a 1st place! This is my new record!(uses infinite time)
