For their Alaska cruise - nothing better than having the balcony doors open at night, letting the cool breeze flow thru and hearing the fog horns in the distance.

Looks like a beautiful ship. Did you enjoy the lunch and dinner buffet there? Was the food in the all dining rooms based on the same menu?

Yes, the menu in the three main dining rooms was the same. On your cabin t.v. you could look to see what the menu was for lunch and dinner that day. The lunch choices at the buffet were plentiful and we always found something we liked. On this cruise, I think we always had dinner in one of the main dining rooms, so I can't personally vouch for the dinner selections in the buffet. We've had dinner in the buffet on other Princess cruises, though and we never had any complaints. Thanks for watching!

Hi great video! I’m going on a 12 day Panama Canal cruise in October sailing on the Emerald Princess, and I just booked a 16 day Hawaiian cruise on the Ruby Princess in October of next year. I hear these two ships are sister ships and therefore identical. Im almost positive you’ve been on both so I was wondering which is your favorite? Are they both really exactly the same? Just curious and wanted to know your thoughts. Hope your day finds you well. Thanks!

Thanks, Danny! I've been on the Ruby twice, but never had the opportunity to sail on the Emerald. While I think both ships will be similar, there may be a few little differences that make each one unique. Both ships are a little older, The Emerald launched in 2007 and the Ruby in 2008 and the Emerald was refubished in 2019 while the Ruby was in 2018. So, they're be similar, but not carbon copies. Both of the cruises you're going on sound wonderful! Have fun and thanks for watching.

Are any of the pools covered?
Seems like it would be cold in Alaska to be outdoors in a pool. .

If I'm not mistaken, the only covered pool on the Ruby is in the Lotus Spa. The three regular pools aren't covered. My wife and I aren't pool people, but we did see some people in the pools, so I'm assuming they're heated. They also have hot tubs by the pools that were always pretty popular. Thanks for watching!

Do they have Vegan Options in food ?

Thank you so much for this question. Yes they do! Not only are there plenty of vegan options in the buffet, but the main menu in the evening usually has dishes for vegan diets. Thanks for watching.
