Back in the 70’s, the feast extended down south of Canal Street. There were tons of carnival games and even bumper cars and Ferris wheel rides. A lot more.
I Agree with Marcos, NYC was Never dead and now it's back! Shout-out to all the awesome Italian-Americans in New York. I Wish Mary Jane would've been there to hear her thoughts on this amazing Festival 🇮🇹 great Video like always Jon 👍
Looks like a lot of fun with friends . So awesome to see a community come together with food and festivities . Good times, , thanks for sharing - wish I could have made it there 😀
I would love to be there right now. Everything looks super good. Thank you for making us travel and know a little more about our corners of the world 🌍
The Shake Your Napkin song!! I visited NYC for the first time when I was 13 years old and went to Puglia, and I still remember the song. 😂 I should have tried the zeppoles when I went to the festival the other day, they look amazing. Great video!
How did you get Lil Mo Mozzarella to appear on the channel? The second he appeared on the video, I died of laughter. My god Jon, this video was hilarious and delicious. Seriously, best collaboration yet.
Saw actionkid walking with his camera on the first day of San Gennaro walking by doing his video. Didn't want to say hi since I can hear him talking describing what going on.
We were there Saturday afternoon and it was nuts! Wanted to try Prince St Pizza but the line was down the street. Great to see so many people out and about though.
I was born on the lower east side in 1940 --- near Stanton St. and the Riverside Drive. I went to the San Gennaro Street Festival in 1962 or 1963 with a friend, who's Italian. The food looks Yummy!!!! Nice for everyone to have FUN!!!!
Jon, I experienced San Gennaro in Little Italy back in 2019, spectacular atmosphere, that was the last time I went abroad. Still waiting to go again, any where
I love how ppl put food in their mouth and right away go Mmmmmm lmao you didn't even start chewing yet to get all the flavors out. Was there on Mon at 11AM they not quite ready at 11AM so I suggest to go sometime after 12PM. Told my auntie about this fair. She taking her whole Family out this Sunday.
All that food look great at the festival I'm sure that you enjoyed it by the look on your face. The blueberry cigar to just chill out on is great but those sausage n peppers reminds me of a good hot sausage but as well as this one casino had hot sausage lasagna and it was great
Oh boy. I wish I was there! Fantastic weather now, too. I wouldn't have been able to eat that much fried food those. My stomach would have rebelled. However, definitely some of it would have been heavenly.
I used to love this festival but found it intolerable in the last few years. its way too crowded and doesnt have enough space. the lines for mediocre food is even worse. The 18th ave feast in brooklyn is much better. in fact some of the same vendors are at the brooklyn feast with much smaller lines.
@@vincentpadovano7855 What do Asian people have to do with anything? Even more Ironic is that you make that comment when Little Italy is basically a street within china town. There are more Italian people on 18th Ave than in little italy.

As we saw in Mean Streets
@@italiano6490 call it nimbys

Still don’t know how I hit that balloon 😅 Maybe it was the cannoli

Phenomenal video! This festival is high on my list of things to do in New York. Food looked amazing and the deleted scenes were funny 💯🇮🇹
Thanks Luis
That festival looks amazing! Adding to my list bro!
Bam, you need to go
I'm genuinely jealous Jon, that looked amazing and SO MUCH FUN.

Next best thing to being there! That was fun to see, thanks Jon.
Legendary video right here 🤌🏻🤌🏻🇮🇹
You nailed it bro, in your element.
I was there Saturday afternoon and it was MOBBED! Been going for 30+ years and never seen it so busy!
Awesome! I will try to make it to NYC for this Festival
I went a few times this year. Great video!!
Thanks Carla
This looks like a lot of fun guys, I think my favourite was the Rice Balls but the Zeppoles look dope ya'll. Great video. 🗽🗽🗽🗽🗽🗽🗽🗽🗽🗽🗽🗽🗽🗽🗽🗽
Man oh man I miss those zeppoles 😍
I went there 3 times this week lol everything is always great and the food is always so good!
Nice maybe next year 👍😊🇹🇹
Back in the day in Bensonhurst, “Lucy’s” was the place to go for sausage and peppers, the lines were Long!

I need to visit Little Italy in NYC Jon after seeing this video.
Sausage and peppers, I miss that!
finally!
Those zeppoles look amazing! They remind me of the powdered sugar donuts you get at the exhibition or movie nights in the park.
As an Italian, I'm extremely envious of you!!! I just need to move to NYC
I was there yesterday, food waa incredibly good. Had a great time
Psyched that San Gennaro is back!!! Gotta get more of those meatballs.
Good to see AK in your video. At least we all agree Astoria is the greatest neighborhood in most diverse borough the greatest city in world 👍🏻
Thank you.

Sausage and Peppers are legendary
Beautiful, in my city Catania, that one are not zeppole but crispelle
Oh and for Pastries “CAFE BELLE NYC” (the owner is 3rd generation Baker)
Jon how long does this event last because I might try to come there next year around event time.
10 days!!
Oh boy. I wish I was there! Fantastic weather now, too. I wouldn't have been able to eat that much fried food those. My stomach would have rebelled. However, definitely some of it would have been heavenly.
Damn. I didn’t even know about this. It’s crazy how you don’t hear about these things if you don’t live close.
I'm so jealous; in the south, COVID cases are through the roof and so many festivals are being modified or canceled.
I've been going for over 40 years. This year was so depressing to see what it's become, & how it shrunk.
Least the Spatas are there.
I feel you, you should see how Bensonhurst, Brooklyn turned out
I saw “BALLS” in the thumbnail and you KNOW I had to click
Next time look for “DANNY ON THE CORNER” he makes the best Zeppoles
I’m sure your video’s great and what not, however......
That thumbnail is just 😂😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂 no photoshop that's what the stand says
Bruh...lmao
👋🏼 cousin Louie!
I can confirm that the food is legit. 😋
I'm from Naples and San Gennaro is the Patron of the city but we don't have a big feast like that over here😂
I make all of this in my house now here in Hawai'i since we can't travel yet!
I’m glad the plan to do Sam Gennaro 2021 video came true! But someone (ahem Marco) promised to eat from every stand! Weak! 😂
Action kid really not built for this LOL
How long is the festival on for? one week?
Til Sunday night
What are the hours ?
Are you all vacined? Jusst asking i am from europ Croatia.. because i see the life is good again in ny 🙏🙏🙏❤️❤️
Wish you'd include the prices. I know these festival foods aren't cheap!
Been going to this feast for I er 40 years - the food will kill u if u ate it everyday - so delicious 😋
I jist finished eating 12 donuts in 1 minute pretending its Rice Balls...I miss home so bad!!!
Question: Are Zeppoles the cousin of Gulab Jamun?
I can't see this without think in the godfather.
I feel in his universe. 🍊🍕🍝
Polpette & Salsiccia
"Extra Cheese" 😅
Sad that there are no youtubers, no bloggers or anything like that at the 18th avenue festival in Brooklyn 😏........
I thought Arthur Ave in the Bronx was the real Little Italy??
I remember 20 years ago being ripped off by some gambling game at the festival.
🥰😍
How old does HE think your wife is? lol
Pro tip: the night is not the time to go
For crowds nope. For ambiance yep
I used to love this festival but found it intolerable in the last few years. its way too crowded and doesnt have enough space. the lines for mediocre food is even worse. Yeah if you go weekend nights it’s busyyyy
18th ave has alot of asians...in the 80's it was awesome..

How can you eat so much?
😑
Chipmunk?????
Not this food making my mouth go watering 😤
Was just there a week ago. Sorry, the price$ are ridiculou$. (Tasty? Yes.)
If you ever went to Italy you would hate little Italy
Italy is trash
Do you need to show proof of vax?
No
It was rather odd that this video didn't spend one second explaining who San Gennaro was & only focused on foul mouthed Italian dudes
