This fight between Jay and the gangster is still the best fight in Chicago PD history, with brilliant choreography. It is even better if you know that Jesse Lee Soffer who played Halstead is the best-trained actor out of the whole cast. Few fun facts for people who maybe just started to watch PD or those who don't know: Jesse is the best shooter in real life out of the entire cast, in fact, he is an excellent shooter. Brian Luce is an expert and producer on the show, a real veteran Chicago cop& he and Jesse have been basically best buddies since day one, their families became friends. And Luce said that Jesse is the only one among the cast who could make a great cop in real life. Jesse was also the fittest, he did most of his physical stunts on the show, especially in the early seasons, he has a black belt in some type of martial arts, but I don't remember now which one exactly. I read it in the interview. This is why you saw his character - Halstead - always running on the show, or doing the most physical fights, like this epic fight.
Man: Looks like one of us got away Voight: *violently slaps* Shut up. LMAO I KEPT LAUGHING WHAT A SAVAGE VOIGHT WE HAVE ENCOUNTERED A SAVAGE ASS VOIGHT
666 halima yeah karate is more technical you wouldn’t ideally push someone to the side you would do kicks or punches and do that and the other person will go back
it hurts to watch the episodes and clips where she was still alive 😭 i loved nadia, she was going places, she was building a life for herself and her friendship with Lindsay was one of the most beautiful things on the show. it hurt so much to see how disrupt Lindsay is after her death... 😭❤️
It’s because he was on drugs and if he wasn’t but I just would’ve been a map and so would’ve Ruzek and also if he managed to avoid the fight with them and he wasn’t on drugs Jay would’ve killed him with his bare hands Also: 6:15 would’ve killed the guy
This scene has everything the current Chicago P.D. doesn't have, it represents everything that made this show unique among other police procedural tv dramas, and it also has all the elements that the new producers and writers have screwed up more or less since season 7. And these elements are: brilliant action& fight worthy of the Bourne franchise, the great writing of the bond between the whole group, the family/friendship vibes within the Unit, and the tone of the original show intact: dark but with humor, and most importantly - badass. The writers managed to f up all this from season 7 onward. Nowadays we don't have real bonding within the Unit - they don't go out for a beer at Molly's anymore, no real connections, too many unnecessary conflicts&mistrust among the group, the action is still relatively good but nowhere near as exciting as it once was, and if you followed closely the show creators, the interviews and what was happening in the country with all the Floyd mess, protests&police reform slogans, you know that Chicago PD producers started to change the whole tone of the show mid-season 7, tried to 'conform' more to the new reality, to include police reform. And while I understand that as a cop show about modern police, they have to include current events, especially something as big as this, the way they went about it was wrong. The foundation of this show and what made this show unique among other cop shows was that Voight's Unit and Voight himself always acted more like vigilantes, not by the book, they always crossed lines but it was always with good intentions. It was brutal but towards real criminals. This was what made fans fall in love with this show. And they totally changed it since mid-season 7. And they did it in a very forced way. I'm not surprised at all that the actor who played Jay - Jesse Lee- decided to leave the show. You can tell he was also not happy about the tone of the show changing and where was his character heading. I say it was a good decision on his part, especially since the quality of the show absolutely declined.
"Looks like one of us got away" I'd have leaned in close and whispered "Shame, that means he'll miss playtime and I just LOOOVE playing 'Doctors and Nurses'! In fact, I just brought a brand new rusty fish knife I'm just DYING to play with..."
It's self explanatory if the innocent granny who wasn't involved in a breaking into her house they shouldn't react or make it a big of a deal she knew people was punching

She kinda wanted to see how it ended haha 😂
Of course, she stayed to watch!! It's Jay/Jesse Lee Soffer fighting!! He is hot as hell !! Who wouldn't want to see it! 🔥

Damn that man knows Karate.
It isn't karate, karate is more technical and that seemed alot more like judo or aikido
@@halimaouledtoumi6893 don't think its aikido cos its about not hurting the person your doing it on
666 halima yeah karate is more technical you wouldn’t ideally push someone to the side you would do kicks or punches and do that and the other person will go back
Supreme Kira it's MMA
Karate is useless anyways
it hurts to watch the episodes and clips where she was still alive 😭 i loved nadia, she was going places, she was building a life for herself and her friendship with Lindsay was one of the most beautiful things on the show. it hurt so much to see how disrupt Lindsay is after her death... 😭❤️
