A question for fans of Chicago PD. How many times has a member of the "Intelligence" Unit sighted an UNSUSPECTING perp in a public arena ... and instead of just walking up to the perp, the "Intelligence" officer yells out the perp's name from 20 feet away ... and, OF COURSE! ... the perp then runs through the crowd and gets away from "Intelligence! Anyone???
Absolutely Agreed with you, This is Kim episode also Hank & Ruzek, Intelligence unit always know how to do a their things. Keep saving the city. your AMAZING job. The U.S Government should be proud!
Oh please...Kim has always been power hungry. The whole show shd b a about only her taking down the bad guy by herself! That wd make her keep the baby. Miss you in this show Sophia Bush!!
It’s easy to view a scene and pass judgement. When a nut has discharged a firearm in public and he refuses to drop his weapon. That is different. However to my understanding when a detective gives an order. The patrolman is supposed to follow it.
Scott Johnson The thing is tho that kim and adam aren’t detectives there the same rank as that officer just plain clothes so he technically isn’t outranked. Even ruzek said he was an officer when he called out his office
Kameron Lyles . Perhaps I am wrong. I disagree with you. However I could be wrong. Also I believe when plane clothes gives patrolmen an order they are supposed to stand down. The main issue is; The patrolman killed the monster/ pedofile. Now they have to attempt to locate the missing child
This is true. I see your perspective but they showed in an episode earlier this season that plain clothes don’t outrank patrolmen, they are just detailed to a specific unit
Probably was an automatic reaction too. I mean what should he do when someone clearly is about to shoot him? Just let him? Maybe shooting him in the chest like that wasn't the best way but if he didn't do that there would probably someone else being shot by that pedophile..
That officer made my blood boil! She gave him an order and he wouldn't follow it. He risked a little boys life (don't know if he made it or not cause I never watched the full episode) all cause he was too arrogant to let intelligence deal with the situation. Hope he got sued!
I know this is a year ago but this comment just, are you slow or..? Man’s was doing his job lmao, I’m pretty sure when someone points a gun at you your not gonna just do nothing and let them shoot you
@@vivianne5501 Sorry but a bulletproof vest doesnt stop a bullet; to the head, to the leg, to the arm. There are other ways people die other than a bullet to the chest.
Hugo Arteaga more like people that don’t know how to do a cops job, but insist that they do. There is an active threat in front of him (guy with the gun) and no officer is gonna be like “oh they got this, lemme just holster up and walk away”. He covers the negotiating officer and uses his weapon if things get out of hand.
@@3man659 I’m pretty sure stand down means let her handle it. Meaning he should’ve been quiet as a church mouse if he was there for back up. There was no need for him to be issuing any orders to the suspect.
@@myaccountwasbanned1742 Even if someone is annoying, you don't instantly resort to shooting them. Also he was asked to stand down multiple times. He was given enough warnings and was about to endanger the life of a police officer.
Thing is, the officer was in fact made aware of the situation when they pulled up with lights going and were pulled aside and told there was a child involved, also if anything I understand it was a dangerous situation and a split second choice but if you know this person is important then don’t shoot to kill

I'm from New York, and they make up a lot of addresses on Law And Order all the time. It's usually building numbers that are too high. They also film in Washington Heights (upper Manhattan),and pass it off as one of the outer boroughs, all the time. When I was in 8th grade, they filmed the opening scenes for an episode of "The Equalizer" in front of my school, which was on 97th and Amsterdam,on the Upper West Side of Manhattan. We were all excited about it,only to find, and few months later, the opening reads "Brooklyn". We were like "What the f*£&?!" 😄 (nothing against Brooklyn, though, lol)

Poor Kim. Am I the only one who feels bad? I wish he would have lived, but those shots hit critical points, and thus became fatal. Not that the officer is to blame, but he really should have listened to Kim. Of course it was frightening to have the suspect turn around with the gun, but try to hit his hand or finger so he cannot hold the gun. Or better yet, don't shoot, duck and tackle him to the ground. There are tactics on how to do just that.
