No I don't agree. Even though I have been a huge fan of Mr. Bean since childhood and have spent hours watching him on screen and laughing, I have to say that F. R. I. E. N. D. S is the best show with laugh tracks. I don't care neither about this video nor about the comments.
I have watched friends 8 times and with each watch I began to realize that it has a lot of awful jokes, cringy moments and is definitely overrated. But when I watched it for the first time, it made me overcome the hard time that I was going through. It made feel like there are people in my life who care about me and I should let little things go which makes me sad and enjoy my life. So, I don't want to be hypocrite by saying I don't love it but yes, it is definietly not a great show.
If you didnt like it then who forced you to watch. If you will keep repeating same thing over n over without a break it becomes boring. You should know this
For me it's definitely not funny and kind of depressing at times as well. But I totally get why it's iconic and how nostalgia plays a major role for people adoring the show. I'm sure we all have shows/movies that just hold a special place in our hearts cause we watched it at the right time in our lives

I normally despise laugh tracks but Friends benefited from them. Without the hysterical laughter every thirty seconds I'd have no idea when I'm supposed to find something funny
@Maito Gai The whole point is its supposed to have a laughtrack. This is like saying having a stand up comedy show would be awkward if no one laughed in the audience, no shit it would.

My Ex made me watch through like 3 seasons. It was ok, nothing I would have watched alone. Most of the setups with the cast just sitting around saying slightly relatable stuff with a laugh track isn’t very funny, although it had some moments. My main problem with it is that everything feels incredibly fake. Not in a funny way nor in a “over compensated” acting way. Just more like the characters are only there to give their lines. I can’t really put a finger on it, but I’ve met people who acts like this in real life as well and I hate it lol. Everyone I’ve ever talked to about it say the absolutely loved it. The best show ever made. Couldn’t say I agree less. I’ve never been too much for sitcoms. Although I do love It’s always sunny in Philadelphia and My name is Earl.
They were probably the same people who enabled the worst shows of the 80s to thrive and bloom at the expense of shows that actually were trying to push the envelope and innovate.
Thing is the always sunny guys love friends, in fact if you watch friends a lot of the plots and jokes are taken from friends and then reworked to be shown from a different angle to suit the characters. Friends is just a show that has dated because live studio audiences aren’t a thing anymore really.
For someone who's a huge fan of friends , i won't attack anyone who says they dislike it. I accept opposite opinions. However i mostly watch the fresh prince of belair.
I kind of think Fresh Prince is a bit overrated as well. It's a bit overhyped and slightly boring. I tried to watch it, but I lost interest very quickly.
It's extremely unfunny, almost unwatchable. Some people enjoy the show because they've somehow connected with the characters at a personal level, but as a comedy show it's simply bad. Really, really bad.
I’m a huge anime fan 3 years ago I said friends is overrated and my angry friend said “says the guy who watches cartoons” I haven’t talked to her since that day

Friends isn't a bad show, it's just that people hype it too much, it isn't that good but not that bad either, it's okish, and people should be fine with the opinion of others too
I absolutely love friends. But I can understand why some people don’t like it.The characters don’t have any personality and are one-dimensional.The ‘we were on a break’ fiasco was also cringeworthy and just plain boring to sit through. We all knew that Ross and Rachel would end up together again, but it was stretched out for far too long. The only thing the show has going for it is the Monica x Chandler ship and the humor.
Serious. I really dislike Friends. However, I never watched it growing up, or ever. The reason is because of the fan base and the people I’ve known who really like it. These people are so toxic towards anyone who has negative opinions on the show and they attack and judge people who haven’t seen it. I’m sorry I didn’t grow up watching an annoying American sitcom? I’m from England btw. This also emphasises the fact that our countries humours are very different and even our acting style and, quite frankly, friends has the cringiest acting style and the cringiest humour.
100% agreed mate. I got spammed disliked by classmates because they love this show i feel the same applies to THE OFFICE too. I never liked friends and could never get into it. I tried multiple times and I just ended up annoyed. I think a large part of it is the background laughter. When a tv show does that for me it's just a total turn-off. That's probably why I like The Office better, it doesn't rely on the audience to “tell you” when something funny is happening.
Maybe there are two reasons 1-you could be a LGBTQ person who was offended how all of them are straight 2- You could be a body positivity person who got offended as all of them were terrific
I absolutely loathe this show. Having seen every episode multiple times, I saw the faults a long time ago. These aren't just minor faults, either; they're so in your face obvious that it's painful. - The characters are dangerously toxic that you'd be safer in a different country away from them. God forbid you attack their precious, pitiful ego! - The show never took a single subject seriously. It immediately followed up a guy wanting to kill himself because he felt like he didn't matter with a joke and there could've been an entire episode where after learning why they can't have kids, Monica and Chandler fall into a depression and the rest of the gang try to cheer them up. - The "jokes" aren't even jokes if the laugh track (and yes, it is a laugh track! I highly doubt real people would laugh for short bursts at these so called "jokes!") is used after EVERY. SINGLE. SENTENCE! - The settings are so dull, dark and boring. It's just coffee shop then apartment and vice versa. Experiment with different locations, people! - The writing is atrocious. Why does Ross always have to be in an unfunny situation or bad relationship or how does Rachel (who we don't know if she graduated from college or has a degree in fashion) get an executive position by the end of the show or why does every person who accurately criticizes the characters' problem get written in and out in the blink of an eye? When it comes to sitcoms of the 90s, this one is at the bottom of the list.
The thing with friends is that you need to get into the show and get to know these characters, its like meeting new people u have to get to know them before you can form a valid opinion, also the "offensive" jokes whether u like it or not weren't that big a deal back then and if im being honest humans have become very sensitive. I feel like people who just watched 1 or 2 random episode can't form a valid or good opinion on the show. its the people who have watched the complete series or most of it who really knows the flaws and sins of this show. :(
Janell Sutton as if living single was any good if it was as good as everyone make it out to be it won’t have the low ratings it has and it wouldn’t get cancelled like it did ... both shows aired at the same time living single aired one year earlier you people are acting as if living single was aired 20 years before friends did . Living Single was a snore fest ... even TBBT was more entertaining and that show got boring by season by mid season 2 because of how repetitive it was . It's also terribly sexist (something I also hate). I'm a woman with a Ph.D in engineering. My life is not about clothes or "identity" or being a strong woman. I'm a normal, flawed human being who enjoys books, art and history, and happens to be good at maths. I hate the stuff about how every woman wants a man (or every man wants a woman, but I'm not a man so don't want to talk about them). My daughter, my niece, my sister and I have little or no interest in fashion and we're not obsessed with sexual relationships or coffee shops, or brands... others may be, and that's fine: but to wither on about these ephemera is really not great. We'll all be dead 100 years hence. Shakespeare endures. Will Phoebe (the only one for whom I have any time)? Or Dr Doofenschmirtz?
I recognized that, too, when the show was on the air. It got to the point where I could not even read Entertainment Weekly anymore because they basically turned it into the newsletter for the fan club of this rotten show for all intents and purposes. When they’re owned by the same people, that is no surprise.
Since you mentioned about your PhD, it reminded me of one thing from the show. The way it treated being dumb as being cool. Ross' job gets made fun of so many times. I mean, they treat having a PhD like it's something stupid.

I was addicted to Friends the first time I watched it, but after revisiting most of the episodes frequently did I realize it was flawed and too overrated. The jokes were just too cringy and a lot of the things about the characters felt unreal, it was hard to even relate or connect with any of them. And don't even get me started on the fanbase. They are the biggest reason why I now hate the show with all my heart.
I remember watching this show as a kid and not understanding why my parents would erupt into laughter everytime the canned laughter played. One day, when I was about 14, I finally decided to borrow one of my parent's DVDs to finally solve the mystery of what I've been missing out on. I turn on the first episode, and I left it even more confused and unamused than I did as a kid since I didn't have my parents to laugh at the "jokes"
Random 14 year old cousin of mine is like: OMG FRIENDS IS THE BEST SHOW EVER But it's not funny. Its boring as fuck and nothing about it is funny nor entertaining.
To be honest, I've never watched a FRIENDS episode yet. I've been wanting to but I just coul not make up my mind simply because of ONE reason. The fans. Like damn they are the WORST. They just can't take criticism. They see one negative review and go absolute f*cking haywire. They just don't understand that others can have their own opinions. And if that is what the fans be like after watching this show, then I'd rather not watch it at all. Like I said, I haven't watched an episode YET. I might in the future. The show may be good or bad and I would not know until I've watched it. The fans maan.. ridiculous..

I used to be a fan of the show but it aged horribly. David Schwimmer'a acting is solid but some other characters' aren't. There was a pattren of jokes that kept repeating and I also disliked the writers' or perhaps the producers' ramming Judaism down the audience's throat at every turn.
Yes, the Jewish thing got blown out of all proportion, not only with the main cast but the supporting actors. Still, the show was made in LA and was about N(J)ew York, so it was only to be expected, really.

Sometimes the jokes just feel like they were written by an alien studying humans, without the laugh track it's so awkward and stupid. Having to tell the viewer the joke is "funny" and artificially trick them into laughing is so weird and gives me Truman show vibes
The jokes in the show were lame and I hardly laughed. My friends insisted me to watch but I could hardly watch first 10 episodes, it was so boring!! My friends think I'm crazy for hating such an "amazing" show 🤦. Here in India, this show is over-hyped and much overrated.
I use to love this show when I was 12 but now when I tried watching it at 18 I think it’s really bad. No hate to those who love it tho! We’re all entitled to our own opinions! :)
Friend is so beloved because it takes the mundane existence of mostly average people and makes it exciting and comforting thanks to the special bonds they have built. Sure, it is not that funny and clever as other shows, but it is one of the most comforting shows there is. The viewers wish they had friendships like those of Friends, people to fill the silence with laughter, who always have your back, and whose differences ultimately help you become a better person. The Office shows a little glimpse of hope in the mundanity of everyday life, while Friends makes you forget your life’s mundanity. This is why Jim’s life seems so empty compared to Chandler even though they have basically the same relationship with their jobs. Fun note: if you have watched Friends and watch New Girl, you will notice Smith and Monica are almost the same character. They used to be fat, now they are attractive. They both have OCD about organization and cleanliness. They marry a character of the group they had a crush on since they first met them, but they had to struggle for them to see them in the same light. They both really care about being parents.
Some of your points were pretty fair, friends is the type of show where you really like it or you think its overrated. The appeal of the show is on the jokes and if you dont like them, you dont like the show
I think the appeal is more because of the characters and their chemistry... Many sitcoms had better jokes than Friends but what made friends so great were the characters, the chemistry between the cast and it had more engaging storylines..

i like the fresh prince of bel-air is actually funny i love the story and all the characters but friends meh maybe when i was 12 yeah i tried watching it again i cant get past season 3 its just boring sex jokes
I could understand the fact that perhaps people liked it at the time of its release, but how could this show compare to any of the tv shows in the 2000s and later? To think that people actually choose to watch this show with jokes that aren’t funny, an insanely annoying laugh track, unbelievably slow character/plot development, the same 5 overused backdrops that look like they were made on a stage (because it was), and even go so far to claim that this show is the best show of all time. If you grew up with this show, then yeah fine I get that there’s nostalgia involved... but for the people who choose to start watching the show now, there’s no excuse. It just blows my mind... For every 1 minutes of actual development in the storyline, there’s another 5 minutes of pointless “jokes” and chatter.... I honestly can’t sit through 10 minutes of it without feeling like I lost time that I could never get back.
Nostalgia can excuse an affinity for *Small Wonder.* It does not excuse any positive feelings for this piece of crap. Come on, even Jamie Lawson had a Black friend which begs the question of why Reggie puts up with the shit from him that he puts up with.
Ross and Pheobe killed this show for me while Chandler and Joey's chemistry and genuine funny commentary is what kept me watching. The only reason I'm still watching the show is because of Joey and Chandler. Otherwise I would've given up very early on in the show
Married with Children, Everybody Hates Chris, Fresh Prince, Two and a Half Men, George Lopez, The Bernie Mac show, and My Wife and Kids, are the shows I grew up watching (ima 1999 baby) and I honestly didn't understand why people said Friends was one of the best shows on TV. I mean for real people talked about this show like it was the second coming of Jesus Christ or something, at best it's meh, and at worst it's face palmingly bad.
I disagree about Fresh Prince being unfunny. Fresh Prince is very self-aware. There is an episode where Carlton and Will run into the live audience and it completely makes it more meta. I think this is where Fresh Prince separates itself from Friends. Also, Fresh Prince was groundbreaking because of its representation of African Americans. Fresh Prince at the time was the first show that actually showed Black people as a wealthy family and revolved a show around that.
Dude modern family is such rollercoaster of emotions and very funny, because they're trying not be funny, friends they're trying hard to funny and ain't working

the first time i watched Friends i loved it! because i was 12-14 when i rewatched it being 19-20 FUCK DID I HATED IT. It was just sexist, queerphobic jokes, Ross being predatory or emotionally abusive and people acting like Phoebe's trauma was either funny or annoying (no one actually seemed to cared which was heartbreaking for a show that is supposed to be about *friends*) and the only enjoyable moments where Chandler was being sarcastic, with Monica, Rachel and Joey being just mediocrely written characters that where there as stuffing more than anything and it made me very sad and disgusted that i used to watch (and like) this when i was a kid/prepuber :/
my soon to be ex friends made me watch this show after i binge watched the office, brooklyn 99 and it's always sunny in Philadelphia. it felt like eating michelin star chef meals and then eating a desert from some sleazy diner
Friends is honestly okayish. Like I get it it's iconic but like seriously Chandler is the only one with some actual character development. Ross and Rachel's relationship is the worst. They could have chucked the part where they begin dating in season 3 it was dumb and the wedding like wtf. They could have bonded over their failed relationships and then fall in love when Emma is born. Also she giving up a job in Paris is😕.Joey needed a girlfriend the pregnant lady from s1 like what was even the point of that scene. Phoebe was there because Monica allowed her to live with her and both Phoebe and Rachel never acknowledge this. And S10 was the worst A whole season was dedicated to Mondlers wedding and Phoebe's wedding happens in one episode.
Finally someone made this. This is one of the overrated bullshit of all time. Fawlty Towers is what you call a sitcom. Classic British Humour of John Cleese with hillarious episodes.
What is so special? It’s funny and it was the first real comedy about a group of friends. I don’t really understand your comparisons with Fresh Prince, that was a family comedy with a clear main character. You talk about Will making fun of his uncle and the butler, but Friends doesn’t have anything like that because it was about a group of friends. As for the idea you personally didn’t find it funny, that’s just you, many didn’t think Fresh Prince was funny. You also say Phoebe isn’t a good character because she screams but then say Ross is a great character because he screams, so your reasoning is confusing to me. I don’t think they ever mention Rachel being rich. But if that was your issue with her character why did you like Fresh Prince? that whole family was rich! I’m also not aware of any other “fat girl turned hot” characters in comedy, but I don’t think that was really the idea with her character anyway.
Phoebe : “ my mother killed herself “ 2 seconds later : *HAHAHAHAHAHAHA* Plus it’s annoying how a lot of good shows that aired before it got cancelled some with no proper finale the second this crap made it on the air also the fact that they had to pay the audience a lot of money to laugh at the jokes is even more sad than the show itself. I rather watch all seasons of Keeping up with the Kardashians over this unfunny crap any day and we all know how bad KUWTK is ... the fact that there are people who talk sh*t about TBBT and say it’s not funny yet laugh at this crap makes me wanna hit my head on a wall .
@@Twhistle ...they laughed about it because the character brought it up to play the victim card and/or in the most random situations. And that's the real audience so I guess shower hate on all the people who ever attended the show's live taping.
@Raman Sharma Humor is subjective. You don't need to call people stupid for liking jokes you don't, you can just move on. This is immaturity that you're displaying.
I feel like my viewing experience of _Friends_ was ruined bc I finished _Frasier_ right before I started it. Going from a sitcom that generally puts a lot of effort in "smart" comedy, character development, and complexity, to such a straightforward show (especially since I was only 12) probably wasn't the wisest thing to do
Post-Brandon Tartikoff NBC made the vast wasteland Newton Minow dismissed TV as in 1961 look like the Garden of Eden by comparison. *Frasier* was the last link to their 1980s comeback era by way of *Cheers.* Even *Seinfeld* started before he left for Paramount Pictures. He left to avoid the debacle that ended up being the replacement of Johnny Carson on *The Tonight Show.* He saw that coming a mile away and wanted no part of it. Warren Littlefield and Jeff Zucker turned it back into utter shit after everything Tartikoff and Grant Tinker did to make it number 1. And by now Tartikoff’s predictions that network television would become less and less dominant over time were already starting to come true. This made it easy to be the number one show on TV with the numbers that got *Silver Spoons* and *Punky Brewster* canceled. At least Ms. Brewster got the last laugh with a reboot.
I agree that it can boring, and can be dumb sometimes, but the million of dollars everyone made off of it speak. The actors in season ten were making 1 million dollars per 20-25 minute episode. The show was revolutionary, and while he says it regurgitates other sitcoms, it doesn’t, this show had an ensemble cast, the first of its kind, and also its main demographic, 20-30 year olds in the late 90’s and early 2000s are up every second of it because it was light hearted and the characters were likable. People thought the 6 characters were their friends because of the way the character acted around each-other. It is so high rated because it actually IS good T.V. This stuff was entertaining in the 90’s. And it still holds a place in many people’s hearts, which is why it is still talked about.
I mean i love friends i have like 2 posters on my wall of it and although i am now getting into other things like modern family and superstore. I am not gonna through a hissy fit. Ok maybe i searched friends is bad to see what ppl think of it 😭

But understand that shows like breaking bad is objectivelly better.
I don’t like the show friends but to say Ross is the best Character is insane to me. I do agree with what you like about him but over all he’s a manipulative person that is toxic to those around him and really is only keeping characters like Rachael from actually getting to do what she wants and further herself more as a individual! I hope you have a wonderful regardless I’m just racking my brain right now 🧠

Mr bean made everyone laugh with barely any dialogue. So yes it's one of the best shows.
Mind ur language is good too
No I don't agree.
You should know this
It took u 8 fucking times to realize that? Bruh.. shut the fuck up 😂

Friends I don’t get the hype for.

Ross and Rachel is easily the most toxic relationship I've ever seen on TV.

I never liked friends and could never get into it. I tried multiple times and I just ended up annoyed. I think a large part of it is the background laughter. When a tv show does that for me it's just a total turn-off. That's probably why I like The Office better, it doesn't rely on the audience to “tell you” when something funny is happening.
Maybe there are two reasons
1-you could be a LGBTQ person who was offended how all of them are straight
2- You could be a body positivity person who got offended as all of them were terrific
@@arsinous_1_1_1_1
Or you can really just be a dumb boring person who actually thinks friends is funny

It's also terribly sexist (something I also hate). I'm a woman with a Ph.D in engineering. My life is not about clothes or "identity" or being a strong woman. The jokes were just too cringy and a lot of the things about the characters felt unreal, it was hard to even relate or connect with any of them. And don't even get me started on the fanbase. They are the biggest reason why I now hate the show with all my heart.

One day, when I was about 14, I finally decided to borrow one of my parent's DVDs to finally solve the mystery of what I've been missing out on. I turn on the first episode, and I left it even more confused and unamused than I did as a kid since I didn't have my parents to laugh at the "jokes"

I used to be a fan of the show but it aged horribly. David Schwimmer'a acting is solid but some other characters' aren't. There was a pattren of jokes that kept repeating and I also disliked the writers' or perhaps the producers' ramming Judaism down the audience's throat at every turn.
I’m Jewish and I hate this show. My Hebrew teacher also disliked it. I once had a therapist named Dr. Chandler and he hated it, too.

Yes, the Jewish thing got blown out of all proportion, not only with the main cast but the supporting actors. Still, the show was made in LA and was about N(J)ew York, so it was only to be expected, really.

What I don’t understand is all the people when I was in high school that were obsessed with it, the show ended when we were all three years old Lmaoo

The appeal of the show is the characters, not the jokes. If you don’t like the characters, you won’t like the show.

Phoebe : “ my mother killed herself “
2 seconds later : *HAHAHAHAHAHAHA*
Plus it’s annoying how a lot of good shows that aired before it got cancelled some with no proper finale the second this crap made it on the air also the fact that they had to pay the audience a lot of money to laugh at the jokes is even more sad than the show itself. I rather watch all seasons of Keeping up with the Kardashians over this unfunny crap any day and we all know how bad KUWTK is ... the fact that there are people who talk sh*t about TBBT and say it’s not funny yet laugh at this crap makes me wanna hit my head on a wall .
I’m a fan of the show but that always made me cringe. Not something to joke about.
Wtf really? Distasteful
@@Twhistle ...they laughed about it because the character brought it up to play the victim card and/or in the most random situations. And that's the real audience so I guess shower hate on all the people who ever attended the show's live taping.
@Raman Sharma ...That's the audience that has paid TO watch the show 🤣🤣🤣 You really think FRIENDS had to have PAID audience? 😂😂😂 God...
@Raman Sharma Humor is subjective. You don't need to call people stupid for liking jokes you don't, you can just move on. This is immaturity that you're displaying.
The worst was when every time phoebe came into the scene and started to sing smelly cat. Felt like slapping her through the screen.
Lol same she's so annoying
I feel like it would be hilarious if I was 3 years old
Yeah. It was very obnoxious.
I couldn't even get past the first episode tbh
i only watched one ep and stopped. Honestly all american tv shows r like that
@@vanshika8334 breaking bad is noice😀
The sopranos is the best tv show ever imo
The 70s show is wayyyyyyfunnier
This guy : i don’t like phoebe because she Also this guy :I like Ross because of his screams
Yes i hate phoebe because she
@@DM_Films I agree that it’s annoying but it’s kind of weird when you like Ross for the same thing
@@DM_Films OK you got me there LOL
Did i say that? This vid was almost a year ago i probably contradicted myself plenty 💀💀
As an American in the late 90’s, I was embarrassed and dismayed for the U.K. when I heard “Friends” was catching on there.
The type of people that like FRIENDS watch only one thing
Friends is the most overrated show in sitcom history.
I would say in TV history
@@cheshirerose2001 Rating it anything other than “biohazard“ is overrating it.
Ok maybe i searched friends is bad to see what ppl think of it 😭
Even as somone who does believe friends is amazing, these are all valid points
The person who wrote the first review said "everyone has their own personality" and just said one stereotype for each. No character depth
I've only made it through the first 12 episodes before i decided that this show was not for me.
Same goes for "How I Met You Mother"
Curious why Ross’s screams were ok to listen to but not Phoebe’s.
Because ross is actually funny
I couldn't stand listening to either of them. Or, in fact, to the entire cast of this juvenile so-called 'comedy'.
I’ve seen people saying friends is better than breaking bad, the sopranos, alot of amazing shows. Friends is not even nearly the best sitcom, it’s not even the best show with a laugh track, and that’s saying something. If you like friends that’s fine. But understand that shows like breaking bad is objectivelly better.
Whoever said friends was better than breaking bad must have the shittest taste ive ever seen
those are different shows so do not compare those shows , okay ? FRIENDS is uniqe in its kind
I don’t like the show friends but to say Ross is the best Character is insane to me. I do agree with what you like about him but over all he’s a manipulative person that is toxic to those around him and really is only keeping characters like Rachael from actually getting to do what she wants and further herself more as a individual! I hope you have a wonderful regardless I’m just racking my brain right now 🧠
Friends is absolutely terrible Seinfeld is way better beacuse they actually use a comedian!!!
Seinfeld also had Jason Alexander, which is an added bonus!
In my language there's a saying...
"চাঁদের সাথে পাদের তুলনা করা"
which means comparing Moon with Fart.
All I'm saying is that, Seinfeld is the one of the best things offered to us, and you can't compare it with a cringy shit show like Friends.
I once told my friend that I hated Friends... There were very few people in the room, but more than half of the people turned their heads to see who actually said that ;_; I never felt so attack by just a few people staring back ;_;
You know I realise whenever a new comedy show shows up there are always people saying this is way better than friends. This shows how big of a show friends is. People want to see their favorite show beat friends except any other. Always compairing. Comedy is subjevtive my friend one might find it funny others might not.
Exactly. There are always people comparing and there always be people who haven’t watched the show and just bashing it for the sake of nothing. If it were this bland and forgettable, why do millions of people still watch it even after 26 years? People are just hateful.
And i didnt find it funny so i wanna talk about how i didnt
@@DM_Films great and this is my opinion.
@@DM_Films u didn’t find it funny and made a whole 12 minute opinion essay about a show that u don’t really like. That’s just plain stupid. Who has that much time on their hand lol
Chandler is honestly the only character out of the 6 I like these days. Though I also can't deny how well David Schwimmer portrayed Ross. And I really grew to hate Phoebe (mostly in the latter half of the show).
The other half of the main 6 are very "meh" for me. Also the theme song is a big guilty pleasure of mine.
Thank you so much, you took one for the team. Friends is not a bad show it’s just not funny and in my opinion wouldn’t be able to live up to many comedies in the uk like monty python or only fools and horses. Friends just really frustrates me
i am not spreading hate related to F.R.I.E.N.D.S
but the reason i don't watch is that i don't like the background laugh sounds again and again every minute it repeats or i would rather say that F.R.I.E.N.D.S is not propably i would love to watch...

(the first line i have to repeat several times in real life because my elder sister loves to watch Friends and she have guts and power to take away my pc and my life)
Friends character: breathes
*Audience breaks into hystetics*
I will say that the first 4 maybe 5 seasons are excellent, but after that the show just ran out of gas and became stale, most of the characters especially Ross became overexaggerations and annoying.
So had the show ended nicely after the 5th season, it would have been just great.
for me after S8, they added way too many unnecessary drama and kept dragging Rachel and Ross will or not relationship. They should've gotten together in S8
I can name so many better sitcoms. The nanny and frasier are just two that are extremely underrated...
Frasier is not at all underrated. Great actors and great writing. Last of the great sitcoms.
@@AnnaMaria-oy1fp absolutely! Def the best. But I feel like it’s not as famous and ubiquitous as friends
@@SteelWool567 Believe me it is. It's just that they keep promoting and talking about FRIENDS. The american sitcom is dead and it was one of the last ones. Jennifer Aniston is still very much active so it's easier for FRIENDS to still be a big deal. They were all young and good looking, as we all are in our 20's and it's easy on the eyes. Netflix doesn't have many sitcoms and nowadys that's how people watch TV.
Oh and the NANNY oh my god it was so funny but how many still do physical comedy and all that?
Oh and they keep disecting friends and it's characters and their clothes etc Leave it alone. It's not problemetic and they never made fun of lesbians, trans, gays etc the opposite it made it easier for people to accept them. In 2040 things will be different than in 2020, like 1994 is different to 2020.
I have never liked this show. I always thought it was annoying, unfunny, boring, uninteresting and overrated as hell. I can't stand any of the characters, the "jokes", the laugh track, nothing. It's also a major ripoff of Seinfeld, which is the best sitcom ever in my opinion (yes, I know that it also features a laugh track but that show is awesome). Just my opinion.
Seinfeld is goated
