- I did a muffler delete on my 2023 Kia K5 GT and kept the stock dual tips. Had him just cut the muffler off, from the stock dual tips straight pipes to the resonator. As I drove more Ive heard and noticed slight differences but not as much as I was looking for. Mainly in the cold Start and high rpms. What do you guys suggest to make a bit more noise without going full straight pipe? #k5 #kia #turbocharged #mufflerdelete #exhaust
Call me nuts but I think the 1.6 GT line sounds better with a muffler delete than the 2.5
2.5 has axle back with dual tips on both sides 1.6 is single pipe all the way through, meaning more backpressure. thinking of just going with smaller piping or single pipe
Sounds a lot better!! Does it void the warranty? Did you notice a change in power?
It does not directly effect the warranty if you do just a muffler/ resonator delete as long as no issues are caused by the delete (so I suggest a professional doing it) Once you start looking into straight piping, thats where you're more likely to void your warranty. Also since it's just a muffler delete there is no increase in power, if you were to straight pipe or full exhaust swap you might notice a bit of change.
@@OfficialKiaBoyz ok thanks a lot
@@OfficialKiaBoyzif I changed out for flowmasters on the rear mufflers, would that cause any warranty issues.
@@jaydenwhite221 most likely you wont but its all up to your dealer and the warranty company. I did a muffler delete and a resonator swap for a glasspack sounds nice not to crazy and I haven't had any warranty issues
Check engine light open in dashboard after deleting muffler ?
No engine lights, maybe if I were to full straight pipe. But with just the muffler delete I've had no issues, and improved the sound a bit.
no
replace stock resonator with a Magnaflow
just put a cherry bomb glasspack on it, gave it a little more roar and crackles but thinking smaller piping or going with single pipe all the way through
You should do a resonator delete pls
naw going full straight will just introduce a lot of drone in the cabin, sounds great as it is
I did the same thing to mine and it sounds great, deep sound, not to loud, I am doing BOV and cold air intake and a medium exhaust with the intake/BOV will be great so you can hear both really well@@adriananzano2292
@@adriananzano2292 I did a resonator swap for a cherry bomb glasspack and honestly the sound isn't a large difference but it doesn't sound raspy and has a bit more crackle. considering going with single pipe instead of axle back with the dual tips. There's just not enough back pressure to get any pops or loud crackles.
@@robertbyrd7733 Did you end up doing the bov and intake? I just did a res swap for a glasspack and honestly not much of a difference but lil more roar and crackles it's pretty nice. was looking into a bov and intake next so if you got it done send me a vid or link?
Down pipe
after warranty is up i plan on doing much more than that
