@ducc2383 dynomax race bullet series after the cat. There are 3 different size you can get that give different tones. You can then remove the stock mufflers too to adjust tone.
@@andrewanderson6056 well lol. Me too again. The 3rd transmission failed on me at 26k miles. So the car now has its 4th transmission in it. And when I went to pick it up last week, the car didn’t make it a mile away from the dealership before it stopped shifting and threw another code. It’s a different code this time around. Still waiting to hear back on the diagnosis. It’s wild. I have been remarkably unlucky with these transmissions. Most owners have never had a problem.
The 3rd transmission is running great. The 1st and 2nd transmissions ran great too, until they randomly stopped shifting. From what I understand, the transmissions did not fail mechanically, they had a bad solder on a circuit board that will fail and cause the clutches to disengage.
@@mildlyinstructionalcarwash4533 There was a softer issue that somehow fixed some KIA Sorento transmissions. Happy that you are now able to drive a beautiful car.
I didn’t touch the downpipe. Everything from the midpipe flange forward is still stock. I made a cut just after the flange and replaced everything between my cut and the tips. I’ve had it on for 16k miles and still love it. Really hits the sweet spot. I bet it would be a little more rowdy sounding with an aftermarket downpipe. I’ve had too many transmission issues to do any further mods. I want to ensure they don’t mess with my warranty. It’s on its 4th transmission and they still can’t get it sorted out. 😢
No drone at cruising RPM. During normal driving you will hear the exhaust while accelerating as the car rows through the gears, but at a cruise, you will have to turn the radio off to hear the exhaust, barely louder than stock. And you definitely hear it when you give it some pedal. I really like how it turned out. It's still classy when you're normal driving. Athletic tone under WOT, but never obnoxious.
Love the setup, I have a 23' and needed options. This sounds great! Do you have an Instagram or way for me to shoot you a message about the transmission issues you had?
@@vonsgone it depends per state, but they will have to find that the root problem came from the mod, although they can void after a jb4 if they find the ratios have been alter'd.

Thanks for posting this. I was looking for options outside of the Borla exhaust. Sounds good
what’d you end up going with?

that sounds good af man seriously nice and deep tone
You got it back. You never posted a follow up to how long they took to swap the tranny
Took 2 months for the 1st transmission replacement, took 1 month for the 2nd transmission replacement I needed 12k miles later….

I take it the car is running great with the new transmission.

Nice setup man… I’m curious to know what kind of downpipe did you install? I got a couple ideas in mind for my GT

That sounds pretty good!
Looking to do the same to my 21 GT. I already have a res delete but will go ahead and do the rest @2.5" . Maybe black quad tips.
How does the res delete sound? Do you recommend?
Ngt midpipe sounds good, you can find a video on RUclips “k5 gt res delete “
Not bad. Only so good you can make a Kia with stick headers sound lol
I’m pretty happy with it. It’s pretty tame under normal driving conditions
Hows the drone? Looking at possibly doing a similar setup on my Sonata N-Line 2.5T

Bolt on or did you need welding?
By any chance can you do a video with some revs?
What’s the part number for the mufflers and do you still have the factory resonator?
texas 👀, i’m in austin lol my k5 is posted on my youtube
could you have fit offset/ center out with dual tips? I have found these mufflers i want to use but they are offset in center out.
Probably yes. Offset/center might actually fit even better than the offset/offset
So I don’t know anything about cars can I ask something? Does the change of the exhaust affect the fuel consumption? Thanks guys👍🏽
Did not change anything regarding fuel consumption or performance. Purely a sound upgrade
How long was it in the shop. I'm looking at buying a 2023. How has it been for you?
just got mine back from the shop after 4 months, car only has 17k on it
Any engine light?
None from the exhaust. Only CEL’s I’ve gotten are from the DCT transmission failures
