- This is currently WalMart’s cheapest gaming laptop coming in at $499.99 which is very cheap for a new gaming laptop! This one in particular actually has some good tech behind it including a 12th gen i5 and a RTX 3050 6GB! Let’s see if it is any good and if it needs any upgrades along the way!

No he is correct I get that these videos are filmed a week or 2 prior but maybe right before you hit “upload” you should double check that the price is still the same and if not have the editor out a note in the video or something. It’s pretty annoying to watch the video then at the end go to the description and see that it’s like $120 more. Advice I would give people is before you watch any toasty bros video that are “cheapest computer” or “$500 computer” or whatever it is first go check the description before watching the entire video and wasting your time.
I bought a more pricey victus that came with a 4060 and 64 GB of ram, it was actually a really good deal for the specs and its had no issues at all
Off topic but Microcenter has a bundle with Ryzen 5 7600x3d, Asus Tuf Gaming B650 Plus Wifi, and 32gb G Skill DDR5-6000 for $450 right now.

Very entertaining video, goes well with my morning cup of coffee.... on the serious note, you got pretty good deals in US for those budged laptops, here in EU, those prices are mostly somewhere else... I was expecting much bigger performance boost after upgrading to dual channel, but Intel isn't probably as stingy as AMD to this.

i bought my msi gf63 thin with the i5-11400h, gtx1650 4gb, 256gb nvme (i added a 1tb sata ssd), single stick 8gb ddr4 ( i swapped in 2- 16gb for 32gb total). paid around the same price. walmart has stepped up their game computer-wise.
Just a thought u guys should do a gaming session with ur team using ur pre builts. Use roulette wheel for pcs to use

there used to be a gaming card 8mb by ATI in 1996. I think something must have happened in 98 when IBM changed and now their is MSI and GIGABYTE
I got a very similar deal to his from best buy for 500 it was an hp victus 1080p 144hz 3050 i5 12450h 8gb ddr4 and bought another 8gb stick and I absolutely love it
MSI is not bad for laptops only things that I dislike is all the huge stickers that leave a residue when you pull them off and the keyboard backlight was always too dim at the brightest setting.
that be good for streaming. use the built in intel graphics and stream using quicksync.

There is a market for new cheap gaming laptops. Companies know that, so they put psychologically attractive price, alongside fancy name of GPU and CPU. To achieve profit margin, they skimp on everything else (RAM, SSD, quality of the case etc ...) . Overall, these are no bad deals, but you need to understand that you will have to upgrade them (i.e. spend more money later) . In that case, look to buy something that is easily upgradable, i.e. you would not lose warranty by tearing apart whole laptop.

Well, it does play some games 😁 Reason they put just 8 GB is too achieve lowest price possible while retaining profit margin. Most of the people later find out they will have to upgrade.

Is the MSI Thin series still garbage? I have the i5 8400h/1650 combo and its terrible. The GPU thermal throttles even with fresh paste/pads even with a cooling pad. The CPU will limit the power to 25W and reduce the boost clock regardless even though it isnt overheating.

High refresh rate monitors will be under-utilized with a RTX 3050 6GB driving it.
Plenty of people still on 1080p/144hz/gtx1060 config according to steam

in case you haven't noticed 60hrz and even 75hrz panels aren't really manufactured for phones or laptops anymore. they all start at 90ish atleast now. Hell there barely are any PC monitors like that hanging on anymore in production. Well unless you are apple with the Iphone 16's 60hrz screen🤣🤣🤣

Depends on the game and settings. It can easily run eSports or indie titles at over 100 FPS.

How I go from 200+ fps at 1440p 27 inch to barely over 120 fps at 3440x1440p ultrawide. Extra data is needed to load its basically going from 1440p to 4k. It's very worth it every game feels so much better minecraft is awesome on ultrawide. I have a 27 inch 1440p viewsonic lined up perfectly and my 55 inch tv is in the mix, minecraft looks so cool it's like when I turn around I really have to turn around warzone is just too hard and forget fortnite but my Many Screens VR Experiment is over with. I had 3 55 inch tvs, 1 ultrawide 3440x1440p 2 qhd 27 inch monitors a 1080p 144hz Samsung monitor strapped to the walls of my closet. Flight simulator and forza motorsport were incredible cod and fortnite looked awesome but it was impossible to play lmfao fortnite especially, I almost got sick the first time I tried to box up lmfao. Every inch minus bezels was screens tho I also had like 9 32 inch tvs and 3 42 inch Panasonic Viera plasma screens them hoes were like $5k each back in like 2006 lol. It was cool af I should have recorded it but I never record when I do interesting shit all my brain power goes into whatever I'm trying to create and keeping my dog happy. She is the most important thing in my life like I know it sounds unbelievable but she's a 11 pound jack Russell and a few years ago I lived in Appalachia and went outside to smoke a cigarette and a 600 pound black bear came running up my dog jumped through the glass door and backed the bear down what's even crazier is the bear slept next to my steps for like a week and would let me pet her and play with me and my dog. It was so unreal and my dad and stepmother were horrified they wouldn't come close to my cabin lmfao they came over multiple times a day before ole big bear took up holiday outside my front door. I even woke up to my dog and a adolescent coyote play fighting on top of me in bed lol another time I had like 5 chicks and 2 baby goats chilling on my pillow lmfao that farm life is hilarious. I should go back to Kentucky Michigan sucks!
